Advance Booking Begins For Marvel Studios' Highly-Anticipated 'Deadpool and Wolverine' In India

Mumbai, July 12 - After a series of disappointments last year, Marvel Studios is gearing up for its most anticipated film Deadpool and Wolverine, scheduled to release on July 26. Deadpool 3 is the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and a sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). ## Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, is a very important film for Marvel when it comes to its box office prospects. Mumbai, July 4 - Marvel Studios' highly-anticipated superhero movie Deadpool and Wolverine hits three weeks box office projections which indicate the record-breaking opening for the movie, not only of the year but also for an R-rated title ever. ## According to Deadline (which quoted three-week-in-advance box office tracking services), Deadpool 3 is tracking to open, at least, $160 million - $165 million in its three-day opening weekend (July 26-28) at the North American box office. It will be the biggest start of the year, beating Inside Out 2 ($154.2 million). ## The $160 million - $165 million opening projections could be conservative as a tracking report from tracking service Quorum, projected $200+ million start, and per Deadline, the agency is still sticking to its numbers. Even if Deadpool & Wolverine isn't as sharp as that projection, it's still bound for a fantastic start. ## As said, Deadpool 3 is aiming at the biggest R-rated debut domestically, given the projection stands. The first Deadpool movie made history by opening to $132.40 million domestically in February 2016, which is still the biggest R-rated box office debut. Warner Bros. Sets Release Dates For 'Dune' Director Denis Villeneuve's Next and 'Godzilla and Kong 3'

Los Angeles, June 29 - Warner Bros. Pictures has set a holiday release for the Dune director, Denis Villeneuve's next feature, described as an "event film". The studio announced that it will hit screens on December 18, 2026, and be produced by Legendary Pictures.## Villeneuve last directed, Dune: Part 2 which was a mega hit. The details about the filmmaker's next have not been revealed yet but it was recently reported that that he was working on a nuclear war and that Dune 3 would not be his immediate next. ## Even though the filmmaker stated that he would not touch Dune anytime soon, The Hollywood Reporter reports that Villeneuve may have had a change of heart and could be turning his attention back to finishing this sci-fi adventure franchise, before taking up the nuclear war movie. ## Dune 2, released in March this year, was a mega box office hit with $711 million worldwide against a budget of $190 million. It is currently the second highest-grossing movie of 2024 worldwide, behind Inside Out 2. Mumbai, June 28 - Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World is getting expensive and if reports are to be believed, it could end up being the costliest Marvel movie ever. It is intended to be the fourth instalment in the Captain America film series and stars Anthony Mackie as the new Captain America. ## According to the report by World of Reel, Captain America 4 initially had a budget of $275 million and was supposed to wrapped filming in 2023 itself. However, the movie went into reshoots after the unsatisfactory output and this has reportedly increased the budget by $75 million - $100 million to make it a $350+ million budgeted blockbuster, in the line of Age of Ultron's $365 million budget (unadjusted for inflation). ## If the rumours budget is true, it will be a massive task for Marvel and Disney to bring the audience to theatres in the numbers they used to before as there is no Chris Evans as Captain America this time even though the brand Marvel is still expected to pull things to some extent. ## There is no official synopsis as of now but Captain America 4 is confirmed to be the continuation of the Disney Plus series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, among others. 'Deadpool and Wolverine' Breaks Pre-Sales Record For A 2024 Movie

Los Angeles, May 22 - Marvel Studios set to make a roaring comeback with Ryan Raynolds and Hugh Jackman's highly-anticipated Deadpool and Wolverine as pre-sales of the movie off to a flying start at the domestic (North America) box office. ## According to the ticketing portal Fandango, Deadpool & Wolverine has broken the record for day-one ticket sales for a 2024 movie. It also witnessed the best first-day pre-seller from the Deadpool franchise. While the official data are not revealed, The Hollywood Reporter reports that "Some 200,000 movie fans have bought their AMC tickets already which is around $8 million - $9 million.## Shawn Lavy's directorial film has outperformed all other 2024 blockbusters thus far, including the likes of Dune: Part Two, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, The Fall Guy, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Deadpool 3 will seriously be looking to breach the billion-dollar mark, as expected by the trade. ## Deadpool 3 is intended to be the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and a sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). It stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, alongside Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen. ## In the film, the Time Variance Authority (TVA) pulls Deadpool from his quiet life and sets him on a mission with Wolverine that will change the history of the MCU. 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga' Worldwide Box Office Projection Revealed

Mumbai, May 22 - Warner Bros. Pictures' much-anticipated post-apocalyptic action adventure film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is hitting theatres on May 23 and it will be looking to bring in some joy at the box office, not just domestically but also worldwide. ## The Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth-starrer is both a reboot of the Mad Max franchise and a prequel. According to Deadline, Furiosa is tracking to earn $80 million - $85 million in its worldwide opening weekend, starting on Wednesday (May 22). ## As reported previously is projected to earn $40+ million in its 4-day domestic (North America) opening weekend while overseas, it is tracking $40 million - $45 million. The movie is carrying a budget of $160 million and is certified fresh at Rotten Tomatoes with an 85% critics' score. ## Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), starring Charlize Theron, opened at $45.4 million domestically so the projection of Furiosa is very much on the lines of the original movie. ## In India, Furiosa is expected to have a much better outcome than the original movie which grossed approximately 15 crores in its lifetime run. Box Office: Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Tops $200 Million Worldwide; Decent In India

Mumbai, May 20 - Disney's science fiction action film Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes has topped $200 million at the worldwide box office. Directed by Wes Ball, the film showed a solid hold in the domestic and overseas markets in the second weekend which pushed the collection past $200 million.## At the domestic box office, the stand-alone sequel to War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) crossed $100 million and currently stands at $101.2 million (845 crores) after the second weekend. Overseas, the movie showed a much better hold and added another $40.6 million to its tally for $136.3 million (1135 crores), pushing the worldwide total to $237.5 million (1980 crores). ## Made on a budget of $160 million, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is projected to finish its box office run at around $400 million worldwide, which would be less than War for the Planet of the Apes ($490 million) which was made on a budget of $150 million. ## Meanwhile, at the Indian box office, Kingdom has been decent with approximately 27.75 crores gross collection in 10 days. Sony Confirms 'Venom 3' To Be The Last Film In The Franchise

Mumbai, May 18 - Tom Hardy-led superhero film Venom - The Last Dance is set to bring curtains to the three-part franchise, Sony Motion Pictures Group chairman Tom Rothman confirmed to the Deadline. ## Directed by Kelly Marcel, Venom 3 is intended to be the fifth film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU) and the sequel to Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021). It will conclude the Venom franchise which Tom Rothman believes is going to be huge. ## Venom 3 was more or less confirmed to be the final movie in the franchise when the title was announced last year and the mixed success of Sony's Spider-Man Universe is also reportedly a major reason for the studio to move on from the SSU. ## Meanwhile, the first two Venom films were box office successes despite the mixed reviews. The first movie was a big success with over $850 million worldwide while the second film, Venom: Let There Be Carnage made over $500 million during the COVID-19 pandemic. Los Angeles, May 17 - Marvel Studios' highly-awaited Deadpool and Wolverine is set to be the longest film in the franchise upon its official entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Mumbai, May 14 - National-award-winning Bollywood star Tabu is going to Hollywood once again as the actress has been roped in for HBO Max's Dune Prophecy, a prequel series to Denis Villeneuve's big screen adaptation Dune (2021). ## According to Variety, Tabu will be playing the role of Sister Francesca. The character is described as "Strong, intelligent, and alluring, Sister Francesca leaves a lasting impression in her wake. Once a great love of the Emperor, her return to the palace strains the balance of power in the capital".## The series was originally confirmed in 2019, under the title Dune: The Sisterhood.
