Similarly, lead actor Suriya is entering this release after the significant success of Karuppu, a film that redefined his commercial standing and set new performance milestones in the South. With both the lead star and the director coming off career highs, industry observers are tracking this film as a key theatrical event for the year. The film itself offers a rare and mature premise, with Suriya portraying Sanjay Vishwanath, a 42-year-old international pistol shooter and business tycoon. The core of the story explores a complex 20-year age gap romance with a Gen-Z woman, played by Mamitha Baiju. This departure from typical commercial tropes into a more layered, character-driven drama is exactly what audiences have come to expect from Venky Atluri.
