WWE Rumors: John Cena Vs. Roman Reigns Discussed For SummerSlam

There are rumors about John Cena possibly running a showdown with the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the main event of SummerSlam this year.

It was previously reported that Cena’s return is discussed for the first show back with fans in the crowd, which would be the July 16 edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX, airing live from the Toyota Center in Houston, TX.



A new report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter adds that people in WWE have discussed Cena vs. Reigns in the main event of SummerSlam, but no one was able to confirm it.

There is no reports yet on who Reigns might face at Hell In a Cell, but likely to get dropped on tonight's SmackDown show.

WWE announced today that this year's SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 21. The location for the event will be revealed on NBC's pre-race show for the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 5.
