Thalapathy Vijay's Action Thriller 'Beast' To Release On April 13

Chennai, March 22 - A day after completing censorship formalities, Sun Pictures has finalized the release date of Thalapathy Vijay's "Beast". The action thriller, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, will be hitting worldwide theaters on April 13.

Sun Pictures, headed by Kalanithi Maran, took to Twitter and announced the release date with a new poster featuring Thalapathy with a gun in hand.

The film has been censored with a U/A certificate with a run-time of 155 minutes (2 hours 35 minutes). It is Thalapathy's 65th film that also stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead while Shine Tom Chacko, Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, among others play supporting roles.

The movie was announced in December 2020 as "Thalapathy 65". The shoot was commenced in March 2021 and the first look with the title was unveiled on 21 June 2021. The production of the film first took place in Georgia before it was resumed in Chennai and Delhi in India. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music.
