Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2' Roars Past 500 Crores At The Worldwide Box Office

Mumbai, August 22 - Sunny Deol-fronted period action drama film "Gadar 2" has done the unthinkable as it crossed the magic box office milestone of 500 crores at the global box office on its 11th day. It has become the first 500 crores grosser for the entire primary cast as well as for director Anil Sharma.

"Gadar 2: The Katha Continues" has been sensational so far with its day-wise trending at the domestic as well as overseas box office. In India, the movie has so far grossed approximately 459 crores (388.60 crores net) while the overseas collection is around 48 crores (estimated) which takes its total collection to around 507 crores in just 11 days.



Produced by Anil Sharma Productions in association with Zee Studios, "Gadar 2" becomes the 3rd Indian movie of 2023 and 17th overall to top 500 crores worldwide. As far as Bollywood is concerned, it is the 11th movie of all-time and 2nd of the year after "Pathaan" to reach the epic box office milestone.

"Gadar 2" has been a phenomenal success for the makers as well as for the industry. Theaters are running with packed occupancies since the movie's debut on August 11 and this momentum is expected to continue for the next couple of weeks as well.

The movie is a sequel to the 2001 film "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha", and it stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma reprising their roles from the first film alongside new cast addition including Manish Wadhwa, Simrat Kaur in her Bollywood debut, Rohit Chaudhary, and Gaurav Chopra in prominent roles.
