Raveena Tandon Reunites With Akshay Kumar After 20 Years In The Third Installment of 'Welcome' Franchise

Mumbai, August 23 - Producer Firoz Nadiadwala is putting a casting coup for his highly-awaited third installment of the Welcome franchise. The movie, titled "Welcome To The Jungle", marks the return of Akshay Kumar in the franchise after mission out on the second film.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, "Welcome 3" is turning out to be a massive multistarrer. It has been confirmed that besides Akshay Kumar, the makers have roped in Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi to replace Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor as Uday Shetty and Majnu with other casts including Suneil Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Paresh Rawal, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani in prominent roles.



Now, as per the latest reliable reports, the makers have roped in Raveena Tandon to play one of the female leads in the movie. This marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Raveena after 20 years. They last appeared together in "Aan: Men at Work" (2004).

Akshay and Raveena have been one of the iconic on-screen pairs in Indian cinema. The duo has worked in several films together, including, "Mohra", "Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi", "Barood", and "Keemat". They have been in a relationship as well and were engaged for some time in the 1990s, but they soon parted ways.

Coming back to "Welcome 3", the details about Akshay and Raveena's characters have been kept under wraps for now, but it is unlike anything they have done before. The movie is currently in the pre-production stage and will soon go on floors. It is scheduled to release on Christmas 2024 in theaters worldwide.
