Mumbai, July 27 - Producer Firoz Nadiadwala has been trying to revive some of his iconic blockbuster franchises such as Hera Pheri, Welcome, and Awara Pagal Deewana for a long time now. Things are moving in the right direction and it is said that the scripts have also been locked for the next installments of these films.

One of the most anticipated next installments is comedy entertainer "Welcome 3" which has been in the news for some time now. It has been confirmed that Akshay Kumar will make his return in the next Welcome movie after missing out on the second installment along with Paresh Rawal.



It was recently reported that "Welcome 3" will feature Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi before the latter confirmed that same during an interview and revealed how the movie is going to be a brilliant big-screen entertainer. Now, the latest report has revealed the character details of Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi in the movie.

According to Pinkvilla, Dutt, and Warsi will step into the shoes of Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor who played the roles of Uday Shetty and Majnu Bhai, respectively in the first two movies. The report says that Nana and Anil are not a part of the upcoming movie due to monetary issues.

"The filmmaker is planning to bring a spin in the narrative of this comic caper by getting Sanjay Dutt and Arshad to play the notorious gangsters – Majnu and Uday. The duo have already shown their chemistry as Munna and Circuit and now it will be time to explore the dimension in a new franchise", the report says.

While the director's name is not known yet, "Welcome 3" will also star Suniel Shetty in a prominent role. The female cast is not locked yet. The movie is currently in the pre-production stage and it will go on floors next year.
