Netflix Announces 'Dasara' Hindi Release Date

Mumbai, May 18 - Telugu actor Nani's period action drama film Dasara is getting ready for its post-theatrical streaming release on Netflix. The movie was released theatrically in March of this year and went on to become a big hit in the original Telugu version with a worldwide gross collection of over 100 crores.

Directed by debutante Srikanth Odela, "Dasara" was a Pan India release, however, it failed badly in other languages without making any impact. Netflix acquired the post-theatrical rights of the film in all languages, however, it hold back the Hindi premiere of the movie while other versions are already streaming.



A section of the Hindi audiences has been asking for the film's Hindi premiere ever since the other versions debuted online. Now, the streamer has put their wait to rest and confirmed that the Hindi version of "Dasara" will start streaming from May 25, 8 weeks after its theatrical release.

Produced by Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas, "Dasara" is set in the backdrop of Singareni coal mines near Godavarikhani of Telangana. It stars an ensemble cast of Nani, Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, Shine Tom Chacko, Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar, and Poorna in key roles.
