LA Knight's Popularity Takes Off, WWE Prepares To Push Him To The Top
Hagerstown, 8 September - Is it the time when LA Knight receives the biggest push of his wrestling career?
Knight made his debut on the main roster in 2022 and has become one of the top stars. Initially, he played a bad guy role as the leader of his group, "Knight Model Management," and used the ring name Max Dupri.
Later, Knight went solo and gained fame despite not winning many matches. Fans started to like him more. One of his big wins was at SummerSlam, where he eliminated Sheamus to win the Slim Jim Battle Royal. His latest victory was at Payback when he beat The Miz, with John Cena as the surprise referee.
During a recent discussion on Dave Meltzer's show, it was mentioned that WWE intends to give LA Knight a significant push. This decision is based on the notable increase in ratings during his segments and strong merchandise sales. It's worth noting that while Knight may not have a high win percentage, his popularity among fans is steadily on the rise.
As previously reported by PWInsider they were in the process of making a new deal with LA Knight. Fightful Select also confirmed that WWE attempted to place contract offers, but LA Knight and his representatives countered some of those offers. There have been reports that WWE was delaying LA Knight's push until he signed a new contract, even though his current one still had over a year remaining.
His new WWE deal is expected to be for as long as another five years.
