Kurt Angle Comments On A Possible Retirement Match With John Cena

Kurt Angle is potentially thinking to run a retirement match with John Cena amid his rumors return to WWE.

As noted, WWE was "in talks" with John Cena to appear on the July 16 episode of WWE SmackDown. As of this writing, a deal has not been concluded. Hearing the rumors, WWE Hall of Fame Kurt Angle dropped a probability of having a regiment match with John Cena.



"Hearing rumors about @JohnCena going back to @wwe - got me rethinking about my retirement match, like............," Kurt Angle commented this.

There has been a long in-ring history between John Cena and Kurt Angle. John Cena made his WWE televised debut on the June 27 taping of SmackDown!, losing to Angle after a roll-up pin. Angle feuded with John Cena for the WWE Championship. He challenged Cena at Unforgiven, but won by disqualification, therefore not winning the title.

On March 16, WWE revealed that his long-time rival John Cena would induct Angle at the Hall of Fame ceremony.
