Kevin Owens Seemingly Refers Adam Cole On 10/13/23 WWE SmackDown

During a recent episode of WWE SmackDown, Kevin Owens made a notable reference to Adam Cole. It's worth noting that Adam Cole, a former WWE talent, unfortunately suffered a broken ankle during AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on September 20, 2023.

In a subsequent Twitch stream just a few days after the injury occurred, Cole shared that his recovery would involve undergoing two surgeries, with eight screws and a plate being implanted in his ankle.



It's important to highlight the close friendship between AEW's Adam Cole and Kevin Owens. Interestingly, these two talented wrestlers never had the opportunity to face each other in a one-on-one match within the WWE, as Cole transitioned to AEW. Nevertheless, wrestling fans might recall their participation on opposite sides during the 2019 NXT TakeOver: WarGames bout.

In a post-show interview with Cathy Kelley, Kevin Owens made a poignant mention of Adam Cole. He expressed concern for his friend named Adam, who had just undergone a very serious surgical procedure on that particular day.

“I have a friend named Adam who had a very serious surgery today, he’s at the hospital now recovering, just wanna say Adam, we love you, we’re with you & take care of yourself buddy.”

As has been reported, on the episode of WWE SmackDown that aired on October 13, Kevin Owens underwent an official brand transfer from WWE Raw to the SmackDown brand.
