Mumbai, October 28 - Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan-fronted action drama film The Legend Of Maula Jatt has scripted history at the worldwide box office, becoming the highest-grossing Pakistani movie of all time and first to cross PKR 100 Crores.



Directed by Bilal Lashari, "The Legend Of Maula Jatt" achieved the milestone of PKR 100 crores within just two weeks. In just 12 days, the movie has grossed approx. PKR 115 crores ($5.2M). In the domestic (Pakistan) market, it has grossed approx. PKR 33 crores, the fastest to reach 30 crores there.





At the overseas box office, the movie has grossed PKR 82 crores ($3.7M), including £866K ($1M) at the UK box office in 12 days. It is the highest-grossing Punjabi movie ever in the UK and is set to become the first Pakistani movie to breach the £1 million mark there. In the U.S., the epic fantasy across two weekends has done $728K, and in Canada $525K in 10 days.





"The Legend of Maula Jatt" follows the titular Maula Jatt, a fierce prizefighter with a tortured past who seeks vengeance against his arch nemesis Noori Natt, the most feared warrior in the land of Punjab. Loyalties are challenged and families have torn apart in an epic tale of truth, honor, and justice.





The movie is an adaption of the 1979 Pakistani cult classic film "Maula Jatt" and stars Fawad Khan as the titular character with Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, and Humaima Malik in prominent roles. It is produced by AAA Motion Pictures, Geo Films, and Mandiwala Entertainment.

The Bilal Lashari-directed blockbuster has grossed over PKR 230 crores at the global box office, the highest-grossing Lollywood film of all time. ## The movie was released on October 13, 2022, in Pakistan along with other international markets, and now, according to the latest reports, it is gearing up to make its debut in Indian cinemas. Bollywood Hungama reports that the Fawad Khan-fronted film will be released on December 30 in India. ## It is said that Zee Studios has grabbed the distribution rights of TLMJ in India and will release the film on December 30 this year. The plans are to release the film first in Delhi NCR and Punjab as the movie is in the Punjabi language. Mumbai, October 19 - Pakistani movie, The Legend Of Maula Jatt, starring popular actors Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, is off to a record-breaking start at the global box office. The reboot of the 1979 cult classic "Maula Jatt" has been the most talked about Pakistani film and it didn't disappoint. ## Directed by Bilal Lashari, the action fantasy grossed PRK 51 crores ($2.3M) globally in the opening weekend from 25 markets and over 500 screens, setting a new record for the Pakistani film. In Pakistan's domestic market, the movie took an opening of $517K. ## The movie opened at a number in many locations, and in the UK, the movie scored the highest opening weekend for any Pakistani or Punjabi film with $355K from 79 locations.
