Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Becomes Third Biggest Indian Grosser Worldwide And Second In India; Also Tops 500 Crore Net In Hindi

Mumbai, December 15 - Pushpa 2 has become the third highest-grossing Indian movie at the worldwide box office in just less than 11 days since its release on December 5.





With the ongoing 11th day (2nd Sunday), Pushpa 2 - The Rule is expected to be around 1300 crores gross globally, surpassing the lifetime worldwide total of SS Rajamouli's epic RRR (1230 crores gross) and Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 (1215 crores gross) to become the third biggest Indian grosser.





The Sukumar's directorial blockbuster is now behind Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (1790 crores gross) and Aamir Khan's Dangal (2070 crores gross) which are currently the biggest Indian titles. Pushpa 2 indicates long legs and it might pip BB2 in the long run to become the number 2 grosser which needs to be seen.





At the Indian box office, Pushpa 2 also crosses 1000 crores gross on Sunday and becomes only the third movie after Baahubali 2 (1417 crores gross) and KGF: Chapter 2 (1000 crores gross). The total domestic gross collection of the movie is expected to be 1050+ crores after 11 days as the second biggest grosser.





Meanwhile, the action drama has also surpassed 500 crores net collection in the Hindi version on its second Sunday (11th day), becoming the 7th film ever and the fastest to do so. Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan was previously the fastest to hit 500 crores net, taking 18 days for the same.





Pushpa 2 will surpass all but Jawan (582 crores net) and Stree 2 (598 crores net) at the end of its 11th day to become the third biggest Hindi grosser. It is expected to become the number 1 Hindi movie in India during or before the 3rd weekend.
