AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam Preview & Match Card For (9/20/23)
New York, 20 September - AEW's Dynamite: Grand Slam is returning to Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, NY for the third consecutive year, and it's set to air live on September 20, 2023.
As for the lineup, the show includes four championship bouts. MJF, the AEW World Champion, will defend his title against Samoa Joe in the main event. Saraya will also put her AEW Women's World Championship on the line when she faces Toni Storm.
One of the night's marquee matches is a Winner Takes All showdown for both the ROH World Championship and the Strong Openweight Championship between Claudio Castagnoli and Eddie Kingston. And last but not least, Jon Moxley, the AEW International Champion, will square off against Rey Fenix for the championship.
Let's check out the complete match card below:
#1. AEW World Championship Match: MJF (c) vs. Samoa Joe
Samoa Joe aims to snatch the AEW World Championship from MJF's grasp in what I see as the night's main event showdown.
#2. AEW Women's World Championship: Saraya (c) vs. Toni Storm
Another title defense of the night will be Saraya defending the AEW Women's World Championship against Toni Storm.
#3. Chris Jericho Vs Sammy Guevara
Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara will meet one-on-one on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. On the September 8 episode of AEW Rampage. Both men agreed to battle on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.
#4. Claudio Castagnoli (ROH World) vs. Eddie Kingston (Strong Openweight) - Winner Takes All match for the ROH World Championship and Strong Openweight Championship
Eddie Kingston will take on the line against Claudio Castagnoli in a Winner Takes All match for the ROH World Championship and Strong Openweight Championship.
#5. AEW International Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Rey Fenix
The fourth championship match of the evening features Jon Moxley defending his title against Rey Fenix.
#6. Christian Cage and Luchasaurus vs. Darby Allin and Sting
Christian Cage and Luchasaurus are teaming up to take on Darby Allin and Sting in a tag team showdown. I anticipate it to be another exciting match of the night.
