Chennai, June 8 - Director Nelson Dilipkumar is pulling off a serious casting for superstar Rajnikanth's upcoming film, which is tentatively titled Thalaivar 169. ## It was recently reported that Kannada star Shivarajkumar was approached to play an important role in the movie and now, he has himself confirmed the same. According to Cinema Express, Shivanna said that he loved the script and is excited to join Thalaivaa. ## "It's a great opportunity for anybody to act along with Rajinikanth, and I'm glad that this project has made it possible for me. He knows me from my childhood, and I share a special bond with him. Irrespective of the role, I'm glad to be part of this film. I'm sure fans will love to watch Rajini Sir and me together on the silver screen", he said. ## The actor further said that the shooting will begin in August and his portion with Rajnikanth will be shot in September either in Bengaluru or Mysore. Los Angeles, June 8 - Disney may have been offering family-friendly films but its upcoming Marvel movie, "Deadpool 3", is going to be as tough as the previous two Deadpool films. ## The third installment of the "Deadpool" franchise will be the first made under Disney, which acquired Fox in 2019 after Fox found immense success with two R-rated "Deadpool" movies. Since the movie landed under Disney, Fans have been wondering how a Disney-backed "Deadpool" will look as it is known to deliver family blockbusters. ## Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick who are currently writing "Deadpool 3", have assured fans that despite the franchise landing at Disney, the movie will not be Disney-fied and it will keep the same tone as the previous two films. "It's these [Disney] people and these people do things their way", Reese recently told The Playlist (via Variety). ## "We were used to doing things our way, so there are differences, but I think the great part is that Marvel’s been incredibly supportive. They are gonna let Deadpool be Deadpool, you know? It's not like any particular joke may be the one that they say, 'You know, that's too far, that could happen, but to this point, it's been nothing but support", he added.## "We're gonna let Deadpool be Deadpool. We're not... this is not going to be the Disney-fied Deadpool", Reese added. When asked if the "Deadpool" franchise will remain rated R with the upcoming third movie, Reese responded, "Oh, absolutely. They're not gonna mess with the tone. At the time of writing this piece, it has become the most-watched English series ever on Netflix by crossing Bridgerton: Season 2.## "Bridgerton 2", which is an American historical-romance series based on Julia Quinn's collection of novels was watched for 656.26 million hours in the first 28 days on Netflix. Mumbai, June 8 - SS Rajamouli's RRR continues to rule the digital world after finishing high at the box office. The Hindi version of the period action drama film has topped Netflix's global viewership chart for the second week in a row after debuting in the top 10 on the opening weekend. ## "RRR" scored 13.94 million viewing hours and was the most-watched non-English film worldwide during the week - May 30 - June 5. It was also the number 1 movie worldwide in the last week as well with 18.36 million viewing hours. The total viewing hours of the movie on Netflix has now reached 39.48 million in 15 days.## The Jr. NTR and Ram Charan starrer epic blockbuster was trending in the top 10 in 57 countries on Netflix in the last week while it is currently trending in the top 10 in 54 countries. In America, it is in the top 10 in 21 countries, including the United States. ## Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt-fronted Gangubai Kathiawadi has scored 50 million viewing hours on Netflix after the watch time of 2.84 million in its 6th week (May 30 - June 5). The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed film remained in the top 10 throughout the 6 weeks in the most-watched non-English films category. Mumbai, June 6 - The biopic of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan is winning hearts as well as box office numbers. The Adivi Sesh-starrer was released on June 3 in multiple languages. It follows the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an army officer who was killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. ## Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, "Major" has had an excellent opening weekend at the worldwide box office, grossing Rs. 35.65 crores in just 3 days. The movie has already entered into profit zone, and with strong word of mouth by its side, it is heading towards a blockbuster. ## The Telugu version of the movie is leading its biz as it scored 17.85 crores net box office collection. This includes 11.25 crores in Telugu states. The Hindi version overall remained low with 3.97 crores net in the opening weekend. It, however, witnessed an upward trend over the weekend and the word of mouth is also very positive. ## At the overseas box office, "Major" minted approx. 9.3 crores gross in the first three days.
