Mumbai, August 29 - Telugu blockbuster Karthikeya 2 continues to mint money at the box office and is racing towards the 100 crores mark at the box office. In the dubbed Hindi version, the Nikhil Siddharth-starrer film has become the 10th biggest South Indian grosser of all time. ## Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the mystical action adventure film witnessed a solid hold over the third weekend and scored 4.42 crores net. The total net collection of the movie in the Hindi version has now reached approx. 25 crores, which makes it the 10th biggest South Indian film in the dubbed/direct Hindi version. ## "Karthikeya 2" has overtaken R Madhavan's "Rocketry: The Nambi Effect", which was a Hindi-Tamil bilingual movie, to become the 10th biggest film. SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster "Baahubali 2" is the highest-grossing film in Hindi with 510 crores net, followed by "KGF: Chapter 2" with 436 crores and "RRR" with approx. 270 crores net. ## Produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts and People Media Factory, "Karthikeya 2" will cross the 100 crores mark at the worldwide box office in the next couple of days. After 16 days, it has grossed 95 crores worldwide, including 83 crores at the domestic box office. The action comedy-drama film will be directed by Sajid Khan, who will return to the direction after 8 years. ## Set against the backdrop of a big Indian wedding and spies, "100%" will star John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, Shehnaaz Kaur Gill, and Nora Fatehi in the leading roles. ## It will be Shehaaz's second Bollywood film and first with the rest of the cast and crew. The film marks Vikram's return to the big screen after almost three years and he is looking to make it big by going all out with the promotion. ## The "Cobra" team promoted the film in Hyderabad for the Telugu version. During the Hyderabad press meet, Vikram revealed basic plot details and what the story of the film is all about. "Cobra" is going to be one of the longest films of Vikram ever with a runtime of approx. 3 hours but as per the actor, it has enough thrilling moments to keep the audiences on the edge of their seats. ## "Cobra is a psychological thriller with a bit of science fiction, high-octane action, and emotional drama film. After 15 months, it stands among the most viewed videos of BTS. It stayed on Billboard's Hot 100 main singles chart for 10 non-consecutive weeks.## The song's music video earned 108.2 million views in its first 24 hours, giving it the biggest first-day view count of all time on YouTube.## Meanwhile, BTS is the most viewed artist/artists in YouTube history. The website has time and again revealed the list of top-rated films and shows for the respective years and decades or centuries.## Keeping up with the trend, IMDb has now released the list of the highest-rated films of the 21st century worldwide. The list is topped by Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight, which has got 9 out of 10 ratings on the platform. It is also the joint highest-rated Batman movie on Rotten Tomatoes. ## "The Dark Knight", starring Christian Bale in the titular role, was released in 2008 and went on to gross over $1 billion at the worldwide box office. Virat has endured a bit of a rough patch of late and was rested for the tours of the West Indies and Zimbabwe. ## Ahead of his return to cricket in the Asia Cup 2022, the former Indian captain spoke candidly about his recent struggles and how they took a toll on him mentally. Virat admitted that he was battling mental issues and was faking to be strong. ## "For the first time in 10 years, I didn't touch my bat for a month", said Kohli while speaking to Star Sports. "When I sat down and thought about it I was like, 'wow, I haven't touched a bat for like 30 days'. I haven't ever done that in my life. I came to the realization that I was trying to fake my intensity a bit recently. I was convincing myself that no, you had the intensity. But your body is telling you to stop. Your mind is telling me to take a break and step back". ## "I understand what Ravi Bhai (Ravi Shastri) has mentioned (about taking a break). He's mentioned about the workloads as well, the volume of cricket, and how I played 40 or 50% more in the last 10 years than everybody else. It's very easy to ignore all these things. I'm looked at as a guy who has been mentally very strong and I am. But everyone has a limit and you need to recognize that limit, otherwise, things can get unhealthy for you", he added. ## Virat will be playing his 100th T20I when India will start its campaign in the Asia Cup against Pakistan on Sunday (August 28). He has been India's premier batter over the most part of his career but things were not going his way for the last couple of years and was struggling to convert his start into the big scores. ## "I have always been a guy who follows his heart from day one. I never wanted or tried to be someone else, which in this recent phase I have been. I have tried to keep up with the demands and the expectations, not really felt my inner being completely, which this phase allowed me to do. I was experiencing that I'm not excited to train, I wasn't excited to practice, and that really disturbed me because this is not who I am, and I literally needed to step away from that environment". ## The star India batter added that the month-long break helped him rejuvenate and rediscover his love for training. "When you are involved in such an environment, you are unable to see anything. When you remove yourself from there, then you realize what was happening to you. And this has been an amazing break. I never had this long a break and the first thing I realise was that I woke up in the morning and was excited to go to the gym". ## The 33-year-old expressed that he was kind of the person who would go to any level to make his team but that not happening in recent times.## "That was not happening naturally. I was having to push myself. I didn't know it... I had become this ideal kind of sportsperson to look up to. I get so grateful for the fact that so many people get inspired because of me, but you can't stop being a human being because of that. I understand why people love you and support you, it's because you were yourself always, and even in these moments, I'm not shy to admit that I was feeling mentally down and this is a very normal thing to feel", he said. ## "I'm a human at the end of the day and that should be a thing or a space for people to say, 'If he can experience this, relax it's normal to feel this way'. It's not abnormal, talk about it and discuss it with people. No one will think you are weak".## "You will get help from people you never imagined, but we don't speak because we are hesitant. Mumbai, August 27 - There was something to cheer for the makers of Liger as the Hindi version opens reasonably well amid the drastic turnaround at the box office for the Telugu version. With a full-fledged Hindi release coming a day later, there was a fear of backfiring this move after the kind of reception the Telugu got. ## The Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey-starrer sports action drama film opened in the Hindi version with 5.75 crores net, including 1.25 crores from Thursday previews. It was Deverakonda's first attempt in Hindi and with negative reviews all around, the makers will take this sort of opening with both hands. ## The opening of 5.75 crores net for "Liger" is bigger than the likes of Prabhas-fronted "Baahubali" (5.15 cr) and Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rise" (3.33 cr). While both Baahubali and Pushpa went to score over 100 crores net in their lifetime run in Hindi, how long "Liger" will go remains to see. It is, however, unlikely to repeat the success of the former two films with negative reviews and word of mouth by its side. ## "Liger" also come above Prabhas-fronted "Radhe Shyam", which was expected to take a big opening but ended up scoring only 4.50 crores net on the first day. Just like "Liger", "Radhe Shyam" too got poor reviews which affected its lifetime Hindi collection badly as it scored only 19.50 crores net. ## Directed by Puri Jagannadh, "Liger" is having a tough time in the Telugu version after opening to VD's career-best start. The movie fell flat on the second day with a drop of massive of approx. 80%.
