Mumbai, July 19 - The Bollywood film industry is rejoicing with the unexpected blockbuster success of Yash Raj Films' musical romantic drama Saiyaara, featuring two debutantes, Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda. Mohit Suri's directorial has taken the box office by storm and is on its way to becoming a big blockbuster. ## Well, the party could be doubled for the industry with Ajay Devgn-fronted much-awaited romantic action comedy Son of Sardaar 2 hitting the big screen next week. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film is carrying a positive buzz within the trade circle. ## Son of Sardaar 2 advance booking update ## With less than a week left for the film to release on August 1, the makers are putting in efforts to intensify the promotion. The second trailer of the film will be launched on July 20, and according to the reports, it will be followed by the booking, which is now expected to open on July 28, on Monday. The booking was supposed to open on July 22, but the makers have pushed back the release of the film by a week, to August 1, due to Saiyaar's strong performance. ## In the post-pandemic world, the positive movement in booking has become a must, especially for big-budget films. In the case of SOS2, the makers are hopeful that the franchise value and the buzz for the movie will reflect in the pre-sales for a good start at the box office. ## Will Saiyaara Impact Son of Sardaar 2? ## Son of Sardaar 2 looked like a safe bet at the box office a week ago, but things might have changed now. While it is still likely to take a good opening, it might not be as big as earlier, and the reason is Saiyaara. The strong performance of this YRF production must have raised the eyebrows of the SOS2 makers, as their film is going to be challenged by this young love story. ## It is like a Deja vu for the SOS franchise, which has a history of clashing with a YRF film. Back in 2012, the first Son of Sardaar film was up against YRF's Jab Tak Hai Jaan, starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
