'Sooryavanshi' And '83' On Waiting Mode Despite Cinemas To Open

The Government of India, after almost six months, has announced that cinemas will be allowed to reopen across the country starting October 15. The news came as big relief for the filmmakers and theaters owners who were waiting desperately for cinemas to open that are closed since the lockdown due to the covid-19 pandemic was imposed on March 25. ## On Wednesday, the Union Home Ministry announced cinemas, theatres, and multiplexes to reopen with 50 percent seating capacity from October 15. The decision has been hailed by the film fraternity, who are now waiting for all the state governments to give a green signal.## However, despite cinemas to open, the wait for movies like Sooryavanshi and 83 will continue as the makers don't want a clash between these two biggies and also don't want to release in a short time of promotion. ## "This is a great announcement but we still have to wait for all the states to open up. Many states like Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu are yet to open up. 'Sooryavanshi' and '83' have been ready for quite some time. 'Sooryavanshi' was originally slated for a Diwali release, but it's not practical. Even if theatres open up in November, you can't release such a big film with 15 days promotion time," Reliance Entertainment CEO Shibashish Sarkar told IANS.## While filmmaker Rohit Shetty's 'Sooryavanshi' will bring Akshay Kumar back in the cop avatar, actor Ranveer Singh will be seen in the much-hyped Kabir Khan's '83' as the iconic Kapil Dev, who captained India's first-ever cricket World Cup victory campaign in 1983.## "As of now, '83' is slated for a Christmas release. Of course, we won't bring two films in December. I still haven't had a chat with Rohit Shetty or Kabir Khan. But one thing is clear that we don't want to hold the films indefinitely. We would like to bring one film during Christmas and another between January and March, but we have to see when all the states open up," Sarkar added.## Stay tuned...

Sushant's Death Is A Case Of Suicide, Murder Completely Ruled Out, Confirms AIIMS Panel Chief

Putting a brake on the speculation, Dr. Sudhir Gupta, who led the AIIMS panel re-evaluating the Sushant Singh Rajput's post-mortem report, has confirmed that the actor's death was a case of suicide, and not murder. ## Ever since Sushant has died, many, including the late actor's family, had been urging the Central Bureau of Investigation to initiate a murder probe in the case. The actor was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14. His family has accused Rhea Chakraborty of abetting his suicide and misappropriating his funds. Rhea is currently in jail, on drugs-related charges pertaining to the case.## According to India Today, the AIIMS doctors had submitted their findings to the CBI on September 29 in which they have completely ruled the murder angle and confirmed it a suicide. ## Sushant's death was originally ruled a suicide by the Mumbai Police before the case was taken over by the CBI. The CBI is likely to continue its probe into "abetment to suicide", Hindustan Times reported.## Vikas Singh, the lawyer representing Sushant's father, had previously claimed that an AIIMS doctor had told him that the ligature marks on Sushant's neck were consistent with strangulation. "AIIMS doctor told me that Sushant’s death was by strangulation", he had said in a press conference.## However, Dr. Gupta had refuted these claims. He told Times Now as stated by Hindustan Time, "No conclusion or conclusion opinion of homicide or suicide could be made by seeing ligature marks and scene of occurrence. It's difficult for doctors and next to impossible for general people, needed solely internal link discretion and forensic interpretation".## Stay tuned...

'My Life Is Not A Fairytale', Writes Priyanka Chopra As She Unveils Cover Page Of Her Memoir - Unfinished

The international icon, Priyanka Chopra has unveiled the cover page of her upcoming memoir - Unfinished. The book is also now available on pre-order and is expected to arrive early next year. The cover page features a closeup of Priyanka with the tattoo visible on her hand along with the title written at the bottom. ## In a series of posts on Instagram, the desi girl of Bollywood has written an inspiring note about her journey from deciding to write a memoir to her motivation along the way. She claimed in the caption across her posts that she hopes the readers are instilled with the "confidence of knowing that IT'S OK to pick up, walk away, leave things unfinished, and move on to what's next".## "Ironically, I named this memoir years before I started writing it. Having been a public person now for 20 years, with so much life to live and a long list of things to check off my list personally and professionally, I am very much #Unfinished. BUT the funny thing about writing a memoir is that it forces you to look at things differently, reconciling so many things you thought you had put to bed. In doing so I've realized that being "unfinished" has a deeper meaning for me, and has in fact been one of the most common threads of my life...", Priyanka wrote on Instagram. ## ...My parents taught me at a very young age to have the courage of conviction, and I've never been ambivalent about this. I have always been guided by my curiosity, drive for the challenge, and intrinsic need to constantly evolve and move forward. I have taken many leaps of faith, often times when I was advised not to...and even when I too was afraid. Some risks paid off, some didn’t (my life is not a fairytale, although I do hate to lose...c'est la vie), but what I learned during this process is that I have never shied away from change, or forced guilt on myself for leaving something unfinished if that’s what my evolution as an individual required...", she wrote in another post. ## ...And so, while you'll definitely learn about how I became me during the “in-between” of what you haven’t seen, I also hope you’ll walk away with the confidence of knowing that IT’S OK to pick up, walk away, leave things unfinished, and move on to what’s next if that’s what your journey requires to get to the next destination. We all have a different story to tell, this is my story, and I am #Unfinished", she wrote with a video of her signing the book. ## View this post on Instagram ...And so, while you’ll definitely learn about how I became me during the “in between” of what you haven’t seen, I also hope you’ll walk away with the confidence of knowing that IT’S OK to pick up, walk away, leave things unfinished, and move on to what’s next if that’s what your journey requires to get to the next destination. My upbringing was always an amalgamation of the two Indias, and, just as much, of east and west." Unfinished takes readers from Priyanka's childhood in India, where she was raised by her grandparents and her parents--two army doctors committed not only to their children but to their careers and to philanthropy--before being sent away to boarding school at an early age; through her formative teenage years in the US.## Living with extended family in the Midwest (Cedar Rapids and Indianapolis), Queens, and suburban Boston, where she endured bouts of racism; to her return to India, where she unexpectedly won the national and global beauty pageants (Miss India and Miss World) that launched her acting career. Readers looking for a glimpse into what it takes to succeed in the massive Indian film industry will find it here, and they’ll also find an honest account of the challenges Priyanka faced navigating her career, both in India and Hollywood. The result is a book that is warm, funny, sassy, inspiring, bold, and rebellious. Just like Priyanka herself.## From her dual-continent twenty-year-long career as an actor and producer to her work as a Unicef goodwill ambassador, from losing her beloved father to cancer to marrying Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s story will inspire a generation around the world to gather their courage, embrace their ambition, and commit to the hard work of following their dreams".## On the work front, the Quantico star will be seen next in Robert Rodriguez's upcoming film "We Can Be Heroes". She has been signed for the fourth installment of the Matrix franchise as well as an Amazon web series titled "Citadel" created by Antony and Joe Russo. She will star opposite Game Of Thrones actor Richard Madden in the show.## Stay tuned...

'We Got Two Action Superstars In 'War', We Had To Set A Benchmark', Siddharth Anand On War Completing 1 Year

One of the biggest blockbusters of all-time, the Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War released on Gandhi Jayanti (2 October) last year and went on to create havoc at the box office. Director Siddharth Anand said that he and his team weren't expecting Hrithik and Tiger to come together for the film as it was tough to bring two action superstars on board. ## "When the script of 'War' was being written, I was writing it like an English film. It didn't have songs, its language was very new. When I say language, I don't mean spoken language, it is the language of the film, the way scenes unfold. The content of each scene, the way the screenplay unfolds, it was a little complex in terms of the timeline and the way things were moving. It was like a relentless thriller. I didn't know what the palette of the audience would be in two years," recalled Anand as stated by India TV. ## "When the film was cast, it had Hrithik and Tiger. The casting was just through the roof! It was a dream cast and we weren't expecting two superstars to come together. Nowadays to get one actor on a film is so tough, and to get two superstars on board was like a dream. So, naturally, the expectations were high," he recalled.## He further said that because they had two action superstars in the film, they had to set a benchmark in terms of the action and wanted to beat what he had done in his previous action film, "Bang Bang" which also starred Hrithik Roshan in the lead role. ## "The fact that we got two action superstars in War, we had to set a benchmark. When I started making action films in 2012, I just knew that there is no benchmark or template for me in India. Because I don't think we make many good action films in India", he said according to India TV.## "My competition was the action in 'Bang Bang'! We did very new, radical stuff in Bang Bang! I was competing with that and wanted to give the audience a little more than that. I ended up giving them a lot more with War", he added.## The movie has done brilliantly at the box office. It grossed over INR 470 Crores worldwide while it earned INR 318 Crores in India net. It was produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner Yash Raj Films and it also starred Vaani Kapoor in the female lead role.## Stay tuned...
