A Web Series On India's 2007 T20I World Cup Triumph Is In Development

Mumbai, November 18 - A documentary web series on India's maiden T20 World Cup triumph in 2007 is in development. The series, not titled yet, will feature 15 Indian cricketers along with an A-lister actor. ## The series will be directed by Anand Kumar, whose last directorial was a short film titled "Ek Balti Paani". It will be produced by the UK-based producer Gaurav Bahirvani under the banner One One Six Network while "The Kashmir Files" writer Saurabh M Pandey is on board to cover the untold journey of the Indian cricket team in 2007. ## The shoot of the series is underway and more than 60% shoot is already completed. The series is on track to release in 2023 in multiple languages. The platform is not revealed yet.## Talking about the 2007 T20I World Cup, it was the first ICC World Cup in the T20 format. Mumbai, October 12 - Superstar Aamir Khan's comedy-drama film Laal Singh Chaddha may have underperformed at the box office but it is being loved by the audience on Netflix which is the official streaming partner of the movie. ## Directed by Advait Chandan, the film was digitally streamed on Netflix from 6 October 2022 in Hindi and dubbed versions of Tamil and Telugu languages. It arrived way early on the streamer than the original plans, mostly because of its low performance at the box office where it grossed approx. 134 crores worldwide. ## On Netflix, "Laal Singh Chaddha" was the second most-watched non-English film worldwide in its opening weekend. It scored 6.63 million viewing hours in the first three days and was the most-watched Indian movie during the week (October 3 - 9) on Netflix. Mumbai, September 10 - Disney+ Hotstar, the video streaming platform owned by Walt Disney, has announced the adaptation of the epic Mahabharata at the D23 Expo. Los Angeles, September 2 - Amazon Prime Video's fantasy television series based on the novel The Lord of the Rings, The Rings of Power has dropped the first two episodes worldwide. Unsurprisingly, the series has been hailed as a visual wonder, thanks to the thousands of VFX shots from multiple VFX Studios. ## According to Variety, over 20 visual effects studios and 1500 visual effects artists across the globe came together to deliver Amazon's mega-series. Companies such as Industrial Light & Magic, Weta FX, and DNEG provided close to 10,000 VFX shots to revive middle-earth in the best possible manner. ## The series is set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Ring. It begins during a time of relative peace and covers all the major events of Middle-earth's Second Age: the forging of the Rings of Power, the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron, the fall of the island kingdom of Númenor, and the last alliance between Elves and Men. These events take place over thousands of years in Tolkien's original stories but are condensed for the series. ## "The Rings of Power" is made for the streamer but the series has been designed to play like a theatrical experience. VFX producer Ron Ames said, "Our target was the 65-inch screen at home, but we made it so that it would play technically beautifully in everything up to an IMAX screen. It is finished to a theatrical resolution". ## "LOTR: The Rings of Power" is the costliest television series ever. Amazon Prime bought the television rights for the series for a whopping US$250 million in November 2017, making a five-season production commitment worth at least US$1 billion.
