Power Star Pawan Kalyan Takes A Strong Stand Against Andhra Pradesh Government
Hyderabad, December 12 - Telugu superstar and Jana Sena Chief, Pawan Kalyan is continuing to attack the Andhra Pradesh government over various issues, including the movie ticket price issue in the state. The state government is alleged to have put limits on the theatrical run of certain films including Pawan Kalyan's "Vakeel Saab". ## The government recently passed a bill that put restrictions on ticket prices. While many actors and filmmakers have put their views forward over the ticket price issue, Pawan Kalyan has been quite verbal about the same and have criticized the government on many occasion and it seems, he is not backing out. ## The superstar addressed a relly in Mangalgiri after one day Deeksha against the privatization of Vizag Steel Plant. During the rally, Pawan Kalyan alleged that the government is targeting his movies and has reduced ticket prices. He said that he will not succumb to the government's tactics and if necessary, he will show his movies for free to the public. ## "Targeting my films, the government has reduced ticket prices in the state. I will not fear or step back even if the government stops screening my films. If the situation escalates to that stage, I will not hesitate to show films to the public for free", he said.## "The government argues that there is no transparency in ticket rates and collections. I am asking the government have you maintained any rationale or transparency in fixing liquor rates?" the Vakeel Saab actor added.## Pawan Kalyan's "Vakeel Saab" had earned over Rs. 137 crores worldwide. The overall potential of the film got hampered due to the low ticket prices and the cancellation of shows. Going forward, PSPK has multiple films in the pipeline.
