Mumbai October 13 - Marvel/Sony made the Spider-Man fans wait a long time before releasing the first teaser/trailer of "No Way Home" on August 24, and once it was released, the response was so loud that it became the most viewed teaser/trailer in the world in 24-hours.## While we have seen the official trailer of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" the wait for the official "No Way Home" poster continues, and it's resulted in some movie theaters taking matters into their own hands. In the absence of an official poster of the upcoming Spider-Man movie, movie theater owners, who have high hopes from this Marvel film, are promoting the film using fan-made posters.## Several of these posters are drawing on the imagery of Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange working together, showing the wallcrawler leaping through the magical portals that the Sorcerer Supreme has employed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. ## Some other fan-made posters feature two other big-screen Spider-Men, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, standing alongside Holland's hero. There are rumors that the new Spider-Man movie will also feature these two after some leaks and reports on the same. Mumbai, October 10 - James Bond "No Time To Die" opened with $56 million at the North America box office, very much in line with the industry's early box office projection of $55M-$60M. Daniel Craig's final outing as 007, the movie scored the fifth-best domestic opening during the covid-19 pandemic. ## The pre-ticket sales of "No Time To Die" had better than "Venom - Let There Be Carnage" and the Hollywood industry insider had hoped to cross $60 million in its domestic launch. However, it was always going to be an uphill task for the movie as unlike the recent Hollywood pics, the Bond movie has always been fueled in large part by moviegoers 35 and older. ## It was still a good start for the Bond pic as recent reports suggest that the movie-going confidence is getting back among the older audiences, thanks to the rapid vaccination against the virus. According to The Hollywood Reporter, 57 percent of ticket buyers were over the age of 35, including 36 percent over 45 years old. The male audience is turning into large numbers as 64 percent of ticket buyers are male. ## Meanwhile, despite the above par opening domestic weekend, "No Time To Die" continues to score big in the international market. The Bond pic stormed past $300 million worldwide after grossing an estimated $89.5M internationally in the second weekend, taking its total overseas collection to $257M. The total global box office of No Time To Die stands at $313 million, without China, where the movie is scheduled to debut on October 29.## On the other hand, Marvel Studios' "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Three Rings" has crossed $400 million worldwide and becomes the third Hollywood pic to achieve the milestone during the pandemic. The Simu Liu-fronted pic stands at $401.6 million globally, including $212.5 million domestically and $189.1 million overseas. ## "Shang-Chi" is the only film to reach $200 million at the North American box office during the 18-months of covid-19. It also surpassed fellow Marvel movie "Black Widow" to go past $400M worldwide. Los Angeles, October 9 - Filmmaker Christopher Nolan's upcoming most-anticipated film based on the development of the atomic bomb in World War II, has been titled Oppenheimer. In addition to it, Universal Studios and Syncopy have cast Cillian Murphy to play the title role, which is about J. Robert Oppenheimer who is known as the father of the atomic bomb. ## Nolan and Murphy are longtime collaborators. The duo previously worked together on "Batman Begins", "Inception" and "Dunkirk". This time, however, Murphy has been cast to play the lead for the first time in Nolan's film. Oppenheimer will also be Nolan's return to WWII after Dunkirk, which earned the director his first and only Academy Award nomination for Best Director.## The upcoming film, like previous Nolan films such as "Dunkirk" and "The Dark Knight", will be shot with IMAX cameras and it will start production early next year. Universal Pictures will make the $100 million film after winning the rights, beating the likes of Warner Bros., Paramount, and Sony. The studio will distribute the film theatrically worldwide and has set July 21, 2023, release date in North America for a minimum of 100 days in theaters. ## The film is described as "an IMAX-shot epic thriller that thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it". The United Artist Releasing/MGM/Eon's film off to $6.3 million from Thursday box office previews that began at 4 p.m. ## The Thursday previews box office collection for "No Time To Die" is best for a Bond film, 19% ahead of Spectre's $5.25M, and also exceeds the preview nights of previous Daniel Craig 007 movies Skyfall ($4.6M off midnight shows) and Quantum of Solace ($2.5M off 8 p.m. showtimes).## "No Time To Die" Thursday previews are lower than the previews Hollywood pic "Shang-Chi" ($8.8M), "Venom 2" ($11.6M), "Black Widow" ($13.2M). Mumbai, October 8 - "Venom - Let There Be Carnage" actor Woody Harrelson got into a scuffle with a man on Wednesday night and allegedly punched him. ## The incident took place on the rooftop of Washington DC's infamous Watergate Hotel at around 11 p.m. on Wednesday where a man wasn't stopping taking pictures with the 60-year old actor and his daughter, according to NBC4 Washington.## It is reported that Harrelson approached the man and told him to stop taking photos and delete the ones he had already captured. This got him into a verbal argument with the man, who then lunged towards Harrelson to grab his neck, and the actor punched the man in the neck in self-defense.## Police were called to the hotel after the incident happened. A report by police officers then tells how the actor admitted he got into a verbal dispute with the man and he punched him "in his neck in defense of himself". ## Witnesses backed up the 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri' star's account of what had happened, and police told NBC Washington their statements suggested the other man had been the aggressor. An investigation is ongoing, but NBC4 notes that Harrelson wasn't charged.## Meanwhile, Woody Harrelson has a long history of getting into trouble with people taking pictures of him and making videos. In 1995, he got into a scuffle with two paparazzi who he claimed had stalked his family during a visit to Martha's Vineyard and was later ordered to pay one of them over $4,800, while the other, who had filmed the incident, was given just $2.## In 2008, he was sued for reportedly attacking and breaking the video camera of a photographer, with the case dismissed two years later after they agreed on a settlement out of court. While it is a great news for the fans, it would be an uphill task for Marvel to retain that release for the film. The film is currently in the pre-production stage and isn't set to begin filming until July 2022. ## It's no secret that Marvel Studios has a packed slate in 2022 and it if really wants to retain "Blade's" release in October, the studio will get maximum 3 months for the production, which is imposible considering a lot of time in post-production will be used. So why did an official Marvel account claim a false date? The most probable scenario is that, originally, Blade was slated to premiere on October 7, 2022 prior to its production being pushed back due to the ongoing health crisis. ## Marvel Studios had originally announced "Blade Reboot" in MCU during the 2019 edition of San Diego Comic-Con with award-winning actor Mahershala Ali in the lead. It will be directed by Bassam Tariq and is written by Staci Osei-Kuffour.
