WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results September 25, 2020: Full Results, Highlights, Commentary, Live Update, Winners

Here is another week of Friday Night SmackDown which is scheduled to air live from Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Friday Night SmackDown is broadcasted on FOX Network [8 PM ET on Friday] [You can watch WWE SmackDown live in India on Sony Ten 1/1HD/3/3HD every Saturday morning].## Here We Go...## We kicked the things off with AJ Styles walking to the ring. He was followed by Sami Zayn to the ring. Jeff Hardy was the next to be in the ring. Corey Grave was into the ring to explain the rules of the match. The three of them went on to have a trash-talking. Jeff Hardy took the and challenged Sami Zayn for a Ladder Match for tonight and called to hang both the titles up to the hanger.## Sami Zayn and Jeff Hardy both hung their titles, Sami Zayn went out of the ring. But suddenly, Zayn through a table damaging both of them. Zayn took some punches on Jeff Hardy, AJ Style came to take the shot on Zayn, but he was able to retrieve from there. Adam Pearce stopped Zayn and replaced the match with a Triple Threat match including AJ Styles. Meanwhile AJ Styles with a shot to Jeff Hardy.## AJ Style Vs. Jeff Hardy Vs. Sami Zayn[Triple Threat Match]## The Bell rang as Jeff Hardy took both of them. AJ Styles got back attacking Jeff Hardy's left leg, AJ Styles drove Zayn towards the commentary box. AJ Styles too took Jeff Hardy out of the ring and banged Jeff on the commentary. Zayn out of nowhere blindsiding AJ Styles. Zayn took him back into the ring. Jeff Hardy back on the apron, but Zayn got him dashed down with an elbow.## Meanwhile, AJ Styles took the advantage of attacking Zayn. AJ Styles with Chinlock on Zayn, AJ Styles sent him out of the ring allowing Jeff Hardy to be in the ring. Zayn also got back instantly. Jeff Hardy with Double-Drope and then backdrop on Zyan. Jeff Hardy at the top of the rope, but Zayn crashed him on the ground.## AJ Styles over the top rope launching himself on Sami Zayn as we went back for the commercial break. Back from the break, as AJ Styles taking Zayn off the top rope, Meanwhile, Jeff Hardy up to the rope launching over AJ Styles and Zayn. AJ Styles with a Superkick to Zayn. AJ out to the apron, Jeff Hardy out for distraction, but AJ Styles caught him. #Zayn also made to AJ Styles, but he was too taken down.## AJ Styles with Phenomenal Forearms on Jeff Hardy, Zayn grabbed AJ Styles and threw him out of the ring and instead pinned Jeff Hardy for the cover to win the match.## Winner: Sami Zayn, won via pinfall## After the match, Zami Zayn celebrated his victory as AJ Styles from behind attacking Zayn with the table. AJ Styles then launched the table on Jeff Hardy and himself went on to retrieve both the championship.## --We were back into the ring with Otis and Tucker, They were joined by The Miz and Morrison, They kept pushing Otis in order to hand the Money In The Bank Contract to them. Meanwhile, Otis attacked John Morrison crashing him through the shutter. He was stopped by official and Trucker.## "You want it? Gran Metalik## Back into the ring with The Luch House Party. They were followed by Cesaro and Nakamura. The bell rang as Nakamura drove him crazy, Nakamura ran rough on Gran Metalik. Nakamura ran right knee on Gran Metalik into the corner and then continued to hammer away Gran Metalik. Nakamura looked for Suplex, but Gran Metalik with a good move sending him out of the ring.## Gran Metalik over the top rope took out Nakamura, Gran Metalik got him back in the ring and made another jump for the cover, but kicked out at two. Nakamura with running Knee and then Suplex dropping Gran Metalik in the canvas. Nakamura finally, with his move for the cover to win the match.## Winner: Nakamura, won via pinfall## --After the match, Cesaro also performed his move on Lince Dorado who came to check out Gran, Kalisto was still out of the ring watching all the things. Kalisto was pushed back by Lince Dorado.## Out in the ring with Jey Uso, to address his match against Roman Reigns at Clash Of Champions. He cut the promo from last week defeating Baron Corbin and Sheamus. Jey Uso then went on to call out Roman Reigns to be in the ring.## Paul Heyman appeared on the big screen to address the message on behalf of Roman Reigns. Paul Heyman addressed that tonight Roman Reigns will have a face to face tonight on SmackDown as Paul Heyman went off. Jey Uso also had some talk and went out of the ring dropping the mic.## Matt Riddle Vs. King Corbin## Matt Riddle out in the ring to face King Baron Corbin. Matt Riddle was in the ring, here came his opponent King Corbin walking down to the ring. Matt Riddle went right after King Baron before we could hear the bell. Matt Riddle took Corbin out of the ring and then took him back in the ring. Matt Riddle on the apron as Baron Corbin with right-hand to take on Matt Riddle. Baron with Armbar and then slammed Matt Riddle.## Baron Corbin pushed him back to the rope and then dropped him in the middle of the ring. Baron Corbin with a big Elbow for the cover, but kicked out at two. Matt Riddle caught Baron Corbin with a knee and then drove him out of the ring. Matt Riddle grabbed to launch Baron Corbin over the commentary box as Matt Riddle stood tall on the commentary.## Back from the commercial break, as Matt Riddle was in control of Baron Corbin. Matt Riddle with his both leg around Baron Corbin, neck, but Baron Corbin was able to collapse Matt Riddle into the canvas. Baron with an elbow right of the back of Matt Riddle. Corbin was just destroying Riddle. Another right hand by Corbin, Matt Riddle stepped behind and then with a knee strick landing more offense. There was a big knee from Matt Riddle for the cover, hooked the leg, Corbin kicked out at two.## Matt Riddle continued to work on Corbin's left arm, Baron was able to get out of the lock, King Corbin with Deep-Six for the cover, but Matt Riddle kicked out at two and a half. Matt Riddle with knee strick caught Corbin into the face. Lacey Evans## Alexa Bliss out walking down to the ring. She was followed by Lacey Evans as her opponent. We kicked the promo as the bell rang. Lacey Evans took Alexa back into the corner. Bliss rolled Lacey for the cover but kicked out at two. Lacey Evans with a couple of shots on Alexa Bliss. Lacey Evans whipping Bliss with her neck. Bliss fought back, Bliss drove Lacey Evans on canvas.## Suddenly, we got to hear the horrifying laugh of "The Fiend". Alexa Bliss dug her eyes Cleary. Back from the break as Lacey Evans was taking complete control of Bliss. Lacey Evans with Moonsault for the cover hooked the leg but kicked out. Lacey Evans was spending her much time in assaulting verbally and physically.## Lacey Evans sent Bliss out of the ring. She took her back into the ring with the cover but kicked out at two. Bliss fired back with back to back Closelines. Bliss paused as Lacey Evans took the control once again. Lacey Evans up to the top rope with a jump, but this time Bliss got out of the way.## The Event presents the red light and laugh of "The Fiend" made the presentation. Bliss turned violent on Lacey Evans as she felt the stance. Bliss crashed Lacey Evans under her feet as the referee has to call out the match. ## Winner: Lacey Evans, won via DQ## Alexa Bliss went out of the ring and performed Sister Abbigail on the ground. A glimpse of The Fiend appeared on the big screen. Bliss got off the ring and marched out of the arena. The Music hit as Roman Reigns accompanied by Paul Heyman walked through the ramp.## Alexa Bliss made a deep stare-down on Roman Reigns as they were on the ramp. Paul Heyman took the mic and went on to say...the music hit as Jey Uso walked through the ramp. Roman Reigns and Jey Uso went face to face. Roman Reigns said You don't understand the accountability and responsibility for being on the top of the list. You don't feel the weight of pressure. Roman Reigns had some talks regarding their family as Roman Reigns walked out of the ring.## Jey Uso also took the mic and said, after the Clash Of Champions, that's the Uso who defeated Roman Reigns as he dropped the mic. It just all started with the kind of rumors about Former UFC World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier possibly signing a deal with WWE after hanging up.## Booker T took issue with Daniel Cormier trying to book his own angle with Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar before signing with WWE. In making a response Ariel Helwani and Daniel Cormier recap their back-and-forth with WWE Hall of Famer Booker T on social media, then Booker dropped a promo on them and their dreams of making it to WrestleMania.## Daniel Cormier also stated that he would like to join the WWE Hall Of Famer With Booker T Podcast to speak face to face and they apparently spoke on wanting a WrestleMania moment.## Booker T once again appeared on the WWE Hall Of Famer With Booker T and Brad Gilmore podcast and fired back at Daniel Cormier and Ariel Helwani.## Booker T and Brad Filmore had the following conversations:## Booker T: "It's a weekend, but guys we got to talk about something that happened earlier on this weekend. Plush, A Big Gauntlet Eliminator Match, Kushida, Cameron Grimes, Kyle O'Reilly, Timothy Thatcher, and Bronson Reed will battle to crown a new #1 contender to challenge NXT Champion Finn Balor at the upcoming Takeover event on Sunday, October 4.## Tommaso Ciampa takes on Jake Atlas in singles action. Damian Priest(c) defends his NXT North American Title Timothy Thatcher.## Results...## Battle Royal## We kicked the things off with Battle Royal to determine the no. 1 contender for Io Shirai, Raquel González, and Rhea Ripley were tied with 4 eliminations. Roman Reigns joined "The Bloodline With LLS podcast explains his cancer journey back in 2007.## As we know on October 22, Reigns relinquished the title and announced his hiatus on Raw, revealing that his leukemia had returned after 11 years of privately battling it and being in remission.## Following this announcement, Reigns would go on an indefinite hiatus to receive treatment. Reigns was first diagnosed in May 2007 when he was signed to the Minnesota Vikings and went into remission around two years after the initial diagnosis.## Roman Reigns explains his cancer journey to the President & CEO, Dr. Louis DeGennaro. Roman Reigns kicked off saying what motivated him to be the WWE Superstars.## Roman Reigns: "you know, it's kind of a family business for us. My father was a wrestler along with my uncle and before him before those guys. They were mentored by the High Chief Peter Maivia, which is I mean, he was huge way back in the day. His name was really brought to light whenever his grandson "The Rock" Dwayne Johnson. Hit it big. I made a name for himself. So he was kind of huge mentors for my father and uncle and really Come into the business and then from there."## "It was just countless cousins all the way to my brother and then my cousin's the Usos who also wrestle currently with me to myself and then we have a few more cousins that are younger than us that are also online who can also do some special stuff. So I hopefully we're just continuing the tradition and building the Legacy for even more of our family tree to a partake."## Roman Reigns on what that diagnosis was and a little bit of the signs and symptoms that he has.## Roman Reigns: "I was like we're going I had a bit of a relapse with CML diagnosed with CML, which is chronic myeloid Leukemia. And mainly I think a huge part of it was just the fatigue and one thing sometimes I forget just because we're so used to you know, being Sports entertainers and performers and just how physical or job is we kind of can just mow over the little injuries and the bumps and the bruises."## "But one thing that I didn't really take full notice them because I just felt like I'm supposed to be sore when you're wrestling sometimes five matches a week three to four nights a week. You're just beat up, you know, and you have all these Nicks and bruises, and then you just kind of get used to feeling sore all the time along with training being in the gym as well."## "But my spleen had an enlarged and that was something that I think was kind of one of the more short term, Serious side effects that I had to deal with just involving the physicality of being in the ring and God, you know, I'm so lucky that fortunately, nothing happened."## "Thank God that I work with some really really talented performers and some just great professionals. just you guys who as violent and as physical as our job can be they're very good at what they do and no one hit me, you know on the wrong place and cause a rupture or anything like that because as I'm sure you know that and out of town and Arena, you know on the road away from your family something like that happens and you get roughly emergency room, but I did the surgery it just can you know along with us serious as you can just pause session just a crazy just emotional roller coaster for everybody."## "So that was something that we had to really take into account and get me out of the ring and that's why it just all started to happen so abruptly, but I think the main thing I was feeling was the fatigue always feeling tired. Not quite sure why even if I were able to give good night's rest even have a couple of days of recovery being off the road. It just never felt like it got off of me. It was just that monkey on my back at all times but a long that I just always thought it was you're working hard and you're chasing your dreams and you're busting your tail every single week trying to you know, get the job done."## "Especially when you're performing at an elite level at the very top of the biggest company in the world as far as Sports Entertainment, These are rigors that come with the schedule in the lifestyle, so I tried not to as we would say in the wrestling world. Try not to sell. But thank God we're well taken care of between the company and then my doctor's my ecologist doing our blood stress and our CVC's and keeping track. That's tough. I was able to see my white blood cells getting out of whack again."## Roman Reigns further explains on The diagnosis again was through the blood counts and seeing with the white blood cell.## Roman Reigns goes on: "correct? Yeah. Yeah, and I mean, you know better than anybody that's kind of a beauty with blood cancers. It's one of the easiest cancers to test and you know do research and Labs on because it's not invasive as far as having to cut out a tumor, you know, take flesh and tissue and Sample that so very very lucky in that were good"## Roman Reigns on how cancer has changed his life.## Roman Reigns: "I've always been one to take care of myself especially being an athlete, but I think especially now as I've got a little bit older and matured over the years. I really go out of my way to live a healthy lifestyle to live to put my nutrition and you know go Fitness First speakers at the end of the day and you know sometimes as a young man, you can be hard, you know, and you know as a life State there can be very hard at it."## "I've been in over the years you've seen. I'm not sure why I'm sure you know better than I would you seen younger patients, you know diagnosed with this and I think as young people can be resilient, you know, very prideful, sometimes arrogant they don't think even in the face of something as serious as we came here that what this isn't going to stop me going to continue to live my life and I'm going to continue to fight for my dreams and let out a goes but there are some concessions that need to be made, you know, you have to really take into account your Fitness your exercise what you're putting in your body the nutrition and the rest that you're getting and sometimes all of those things are not checked off by a 20-year old."## Roman Reigns on if he did rely on his doctor or some healthcare professionals? Did he ever come to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for advice?## Roman Reigns: "Actually, you know a lot of it early on was mainly through my doctors and my oncologist at the time, but it was something that I did with, you know, just doing some research and visiting lol s dot org, you know the time it was just a website, you know, I didn't have any names or faces or resources or true contacts, but it was something as far as just getting information and even now to this day which a lot of times just a simple Google search will reverse you right to the website, you know."## "So I think it's not only just the information but getting good information getting a reliable source. That way you can have those connections and then the understanding of what you're going through and what's essentially attacking you body and to also understand that you're not alone. I think that's you know, especially with leukemia. That's one of the hardest things to understand because sometimes you don't see a major change."## "Sometimes it can be like a Silent Assassin attacking you and you don't know what's going on and sometimes that can be worse when your brain can wonder when you can mentally go insane thinking how can this happen to me? You know, I look I look healthy. I feel healthy other than being tired and maybe a few small things here there. You just not quite sure why this is happening to you so you can rely and tap into a reliable resource man.
