NXT TakeOver
The next edition of NXT TakeOve aired live on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 7 ET/4 PT from WWE Performance Center now known as Capitol Wrestling Center,
This was the NXT TakeOver 31 as we have witnessed a historic NXT TakeOver XXX. WWE already confirmed two big main events for the event. NXT Champion Finn Balor puts the title on the line against Kyle O'Reilly.##
Io Shirai(c) Vs. Candice LeRae [NXT Women's Championship Match], Damian Priest(c) vs. Johnny Gargano [NXT North American Championship Match], Kushida vs. Velveteen Dream [Singles Match], Santos Escobar vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott [NXT Cruiserweight Championship Match].##
NXT North American Title Match: Johnny Gargano vs. Damian Priest##
We kicked the things off with the North American Championship match between Damian Priest and Johnny Gargano. They both stood tall into the ring, The Bell rang as Johnny Gargano tried to chop down Damian Priest, more shots to the body, Damian Priest turned out with a Spinning kick right to the body of Johnny.##
Damian Priest was bringing more assaults, Shoulder block, Damian Priest grabbed Gargano's hand and himself went climbing on the top of the ring. But Johnny Gargano instead took him down, Johnny Gargano took him off the apron and the drove him through the barricade. Johnny with another strike letting Damian Priest test steel steeps. Johnny Gargano with Dropkick as Damian Priest stood on the apron. Johnny out to perform DDT for the cover, but kicked out at two.##
Johnny Gargano with a Submission move, Damian Priest was able to counter back. Face first Damian Priest sent him on the canvas, Damian Priest with Falcon Arrow, went for the cover but kicked out at two. Gargano able to duck Damian Priest, later Damian Priest looked for Razor Edge, but Johnny Gargano was all game to roll through with close two counts. Damian Priest with back t back two Superkicks. Damian Priest appeared with another Superkick to the back of the neck, but this time it didn't connect.##
Johnny Gargano sent him flying through the rope, Johnny Gargano with Suicide Dive, Damian Priest caught him in mid-air crashing him ringside. Damian Priest up on the apron with dahs. Back from break as both the superstars were outside of the ring, Damian Priest lifts Gargano, spine first Gargano went on the apron. They both took the fight into the ring. Johnny Gargano with Arm wringer, couldn't find the victory.##
Damian Priest with a massive Chock Slam, this time too, Johnny Gargano was able to break it. Johnny out of the ring, Damian Priest with Hight risk Manure over the top rope, Johny Gargano put cameramen on front and himself sided Damian Priest, crashed into the Cameramen, Johnny Gargano took the advantage of the situation, out of nowhere Johnny Gargano with Low blow as the referee was out with care. Johnny Gargano immediately let him in the ring. Superkick connected from Johnny Gargano, the referee walks in, 1,2...kicked out.##
Finally, Damian Priest was able to retain his title over his victory.##

--Santos Escobar vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott [NXT Cruiserweight Championship Match]##
Next up with Isaiah “Swerve” Scott walking down to the ring, he was followed by the NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar. The Bell rang as they stretched, shoulder down as Santos Escobar with cover for two counts, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott tossed Santos flying through the ring rope, way back to the ring as the referee counted, another high kick from Isaiah “Swerve” Scott.##
Isaiah “Swerve” Scott once again with Hight risk Manure over the top rope, back to the ring as Isaiah “Swerve” Scott went for the cover but kicked out two, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott with a drop and then looked for Submission move, Santos was able to get away, now Santos Escobar fired back and performed a Dive flying through the middle ring and drove Isaiah “Swerve” Scott through the barricade.##
Santos Escobar went back and forth nice right hand from Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and the drove Escobar into the corner, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott with a massive Closeline. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott took complete control. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott up to the top rope, Santos also joined there, Santos Escobar sent him on the ground, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott with Dropkick and then performed DDT for the cover, but kicked out at two.##
Isaiah “Swerve” Scott got the distraction from Rahul and other, Santos took the advantage with a Backbreaker for the cover, hooked the leg, kicked out at two. Santos Escobar had back to back move, but each time Isaiah “Swerve” Scott was able to avoid, Santos up to the rope in order to perform Jump, but Isaiah “Swerve” Scott sided away, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott with a knee strike and looked the way up to top rope for the jump, Santos kicked out at two. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott stood tall on the apron as Santos drove his head hitting to the ring post, he went unconscious, Santos Escobar with Underhook and then Facebuster for the cover to win the match.##

--Io Shirai still to defend the NXT Women's Title against Candice, they will be up next!##
Io Shirai(c) Vs. Candice LeRae [NXT Women's Championship Match]##
We kicked the match off with the challenger Candice LeRae making her walk to the ring, she waited as Io Shirai out as the music hit. The Bell rang as Candice with Trash-talking, right after the back withhold, but Io Shirai was able to answer back sending her out. Back to the ring, Candice on the apron, Io used her head to damage Candace, Io Shirai used some great athletism taking the complete control in the match.##
Candice LeRae with Backstabber out into the corner, she got covered but kicked out at two. Candice now crashing the champion into the corner, Candice kept the things pushing, Io Shirai got cheered up, Io back to her feet but Candice took down once again. Backbreaker from Candice hooked the leg but kicked out at two. Candice was charging in Io Shirai.##
Headfirst as Io Shirai went into the corner, Candice tossed Io and now Candice with Suplex for the cover kicked out at two. Candice Back to the mid-section in the charge, they both were down, Face first as Candice went flying, Io Shirai with 619 and then a Dropkick from the top rope, but there was another near fall. Io looked to fishing the match, But Candice back in control with Santorum.##
German Suplex from Io Shirai, Candice also with Snap Suplex, Candice with Backstabber and then went up to the top rope with a Santorum, She went for the cover, but had near two cover. Io Shirai with Submission move, Candice was able to reverse it her own submission move, Io Shirai broke the submission by touching the bottom rope.##
Candice looked for another, but this time the referee got injured, Candice moved her eye on the referee as Io took the advantage, Io Shirai up to the top rope, Candice sided as it once again hurt the referee, Candice then had backstabber, for the cover, but the referee was still recovering. Johnny Gargano walked out in the referee T-Shirt, he counted as Io kicked out at two.##
The referee was back into the ring, Johnny Gargano entangle in a talk with the referee as Io was still recovering, Io back to her feet, she used the belt to hit it on Io Shirai. Io Shria was finally able to retain the title .##

NXT Champion Finn Balor Vs. Kyle O'Reilly[Title Match]##
The main event of the night was under the way, Kyle O'Reilly out first followed by the champion Finn Balor. No risk between both the competitors, they were simply going with takedowns and holds. Kyle O'Reilly with a hold, Finn Balor got out and then crashed Dropkick to Kyle O'Reilly. Finn Balor knee to the jaw, Finn Balor looked for Hammerlock. Finn Balor was in control last a few times.##
Kyle O'Reilly back to his feet and fired back with ruthless knee strick, Kyle O'Reilly with DDT for the cover, but kicked out. Finn Balor way back to the offense, Finn Balor was relentless in beating on Kyle O'Reilly's back. Finn Balor kicked right to the body and then slammed him into the corner. Finn Balor with another Submission move.##
Kyle O'Reilly getting the way back with Suplex for the cover nearly eating two counts, Finn Balor back to the fire with a massive elbow over the body, Finn Balor with Sling Blad, Finn Balor looked for the finishing move, but this time Kyle O'Reilly decimate his moving landing a dropkick to the leg of Finn Balor.##
Finn Balor with Sharpshooter, but once again incredible resolution from Kyle O'Reilly as touched the bottom rope. Finn Balor didn't stop beating down Kyle O'Reilly. Kyle O'Reilly attempted with some back to back knee strike and elbows, but then Finn Balor with a kick to the back of the neck, Kyle O'Reilly instead with A Massive Closeine from Kyle O'Reilly as they both got down.##
We got to see Amrbar from Kyle O'Reilly, Finn Balor holding out barely with one finger, Finn Balor out, Finn Balor with 1916 for the cover, hooked the leg, 1,2...kicked out. Finn Balor on the apron marching his way up to the top, Kyle O'Reilly interrupted with a Dropkick and then dragged Finn Balor in the canvas.##
Kyle O'Reilly on the top rope with his left leg into the chest of Finn Balor. Kyle O'Reilly with an incredible submission, Finn Balor screamed out of pain. A little transaction from Kyle O'Reilly as he reverses it with an Anklelock, Finn Balor was able to touch the bottom rope. Finn Balor started to have a walking problem with his injured leg, Finn Balor with German Suplex, and then went up to the top rope with a double knee for the cover to win the match.##

--After the match, Finn Balor offered his hand to Kelly out of the respect, they both raised their hands, suddenly Ridge Holland emerged in the crowd with Adam Cole on his shoulder laying unconscious, Ridge Holland threw Adam over the barricade and faded away as Undisputed Era checked her.##
