List Of All WWE Champions

The WWE Championship is a historic and prestigious title in the world of professional wrestling, having been established in 1963 as the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) World Heavyweight Championship. Since its inception, the championship has been contested by some of the most iconic and legendary wrestlers in the industry, including Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and John Cena, just to name a few. ## Over the years, the championship has undergone several name changes and brand affiliations, but its status as the top prize in WWE has remained unchanged. With a total of 146 recognized reigns between 54 champions and 11 vacancies (including 4 reigns, 2 people, and 2 vacancies not recognized by WWE), the championship has a rich and storied history. ## Among its many impressive records, Bruno Sammartino holds the record for the longest single reign with a staggering 2,803 days, while also holding the record for the longest combined reign at 4,040 days. John Cena has the most reigns with an impressive 13, and nine men in history have held the championship for a continuous reign of one year (365 days) or more. ## The current champion, Roman Reigns, is in his fourth reign and has solidified himself as one of the most dominant champions in recent history. His most recent victory over Brock Lesnar in a Winner Takes All match to unify the WWE Championship and Universal Championship at WrestleMania 38 cemented his place as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, a title that remains active and highly coveted in the industry. ## Overall, the WWE Championship is a symbol of excellence and represents the pinnacle of success in the world of professional wrestling. Its rich history, impressive records, and prestigious status continue to make it one of the most sought-after titles in the industry. ## All WWE Champions No. Champion Date Event Reign 1 Buddy Rogers April 11, 1963 Heavyweight Wrestling 1 2 Bruno Sammartino May 17, 1963 House show 1 3 Ivan Koloff January 18, 1971 House show 1 4 Pedro Morales February 8, 1971 House show 1 5 Stan Stasiak December 1, 1973 House show 1 6 Bruno Sammartino December 10, 1973 House show 2 7 "Superstar" Billy Graham April 30, 1977 House show 1 8 Bob Backlund February 20, 1978 WWF on MSG Network 1 9 Antonio Inoki November 30, 1979 Toukon Series — 10 Hulk Hogan January 23, 1984 WWF on MSG Network 1 11 André the Giant February 5, 1988 The Main Event I 1 Ted DiBiase February 5, 1988 The Main Event I 1 Vacated February 13, 1988 Superstars of Wrestling 12 Randy Savage March 27, 1988 WrestleMania IV 1 13 Hulk Hogan April 2, 1989 WrestleMania V 2 14 The Ultimate Warrior April 1, 1990 WrestleMania VI 1 15 Sgt.
