Mustafa Ali Wants A Match Against Cody Rhodes

Mustafa Ali's recent tweet explains that he is all-in for his return to WWE because he wants to have a match with one of the top names within WWE right now. ## Ali initially worked for their new Cruiserweight Division as part of the 205 Live brands. In December 2018, he was moved to the SmackDown brand, moving out of the cruiserweight division. ## After two months of not appearing on television, on January 16, Mustafa Ali publicly requested his release from WWE which was eventually declined by Vince McMahon. ## As we all know, the returning star, Cody Rhodes is still one of the top sensations in the wrestling world. In some words, I would say he picked up a kind of pace for WWE. ## WWE star Mustafa Ali has thrown his name into the hat of a potential opponent for the former AEW star. Update On Why Roman Reigns-Brock Lesnar Match Wasn't Lengthy At WWE WrestleMania

In the main event for Night 2, SmackDown's Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeated Raw's WWE Champion Brock Lesnar to win both titles and become recognized as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. ## The match was barely able to get in 12 minutes at WrestleMania 38 last weekend, there was talk that possibly the match concluded unexpectedly because Reigns suffered some sort of injury to his arm or shoulder. ## However, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Reigns was not injured and the match played out just as they laid it out. Dave noted that it was not a bad match by any means. It was a Brock Lesnar match, no different from many others. ## I am still not convinced if that's the end of the Brock and Roman feud, possibly, down the line, there is one more match left to be done. ## However, Many believe, The Lesnar vs Reigns fight is over and Reigns will move on to a different opponent. WWE hasn't revealed who Reigns will face next at WrestleMania Backlash. At the House Show, Reigns is advertised for matches against Drew McIntyre. Ronda Rousey demanded an "I Quit Match" and she will get it at WWE's next big PPV. ## At WrestleMania Backlash, Ronda Rousey will look to make Charlotte Flair scream “I Quit” when she challenges her for the SmackDown Women’s Title in a highly-anticipated rematch. ## As noted, Rousey made Flair tap out at WrestleMania, but she did not win the title due to the referee being knocked out when it happened. WWE Set To Unify More Championships Soon?

Is this a hint that we are going to see the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships getting unified? ## Well, that is a point of discussion, it all started when Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 to unify the WWE Title and the Universal Title. Tonight on SmackDown, Roman announced his next step and stated that he may have two titles but mused that he believed cousins Jimmy and Jey Uso also deserve two titles. ## Reigns went on to command the Usos to go to Detroit, Michigan for this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw to beat RK-Bro to bring back the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship titles for the Bloodline. ## At the end of the segment, Shinsuke Nakamura confronted Roman Reign, apparently hinting to be his next opponent, but before he could get into words, Reigns took over on the mic and shared that he understood what Shin was going through, losing his partner Rick Boogs to injury, even going to Nakamura with a hug. ## This was only short-lived as The Usos planted a massive Double Superkick to take him down. A big update has emerged on plans to bring NXT stars, Gunther and Marcel Barthel, to the WWE main roster. ## Fightful had previously reported that there have been internal discussions about bringing up the group Imperium to the WWE main roster, with Smackdown being the heavily discussed destination. Vince McMahon had his (hopefully) last match at WrestleMania, but it wasn't something many other in the company were keen on. ## According to Fightful Select, McMahon was said to have made the decision to wrestle on the show months ago. Numerous people close to him and on the creative team vocally expressed that they thought it was a terrible idea. ## McMahon hadn't been physical since a 2017 angle with Kevin Owens, and hadn't had an actual match since his 2010 match with Bret Hart that was considered one of the worst in WrestleMania history. ## There were plenty of laughs had by the team and Vince McMahon himself in the days that followed the event. McMahon recognized it was a terrible performance and sell of the Stunner, but chalked it up to "as long as people were laughing and entertained, it's okay." ## In another humorous thing in retrospect, Vince McMahon laid out the entire post-match for the show, including Austin Theory's music hitting after the match. Top NXT Names Discussed For WWE Main Roster

A top NXT act could be headed to WWE's main roster as early as this weekend. ## Fightful Select previously reported that Gunther and Marcel Barthel were discussed for call-ups. Since then, there are more names that have been a part of those discussions. ## According to the latest from Fightful Select, LA Knight and Raquel Gonzalez have both been pitched as potential call-ups. Raquel seems to be expected by most within NXT, but LA Knight's situation didn't seem as certain. ## One of the pitches involves LA Knight potentially as a manager because of his highly acclaimed mic work. ## Knight worked a dark match back in January against Roderick Strong, winning the match. Raquel Gonzalez defeated Toni Storm in one back in October, then was brought up in February to work and win a dark match against Io Shirai. ## There have been several pitches to bring her up in the past that didn't come to fruition. He is not currently being advertised for any Live Events. ## As noted, At WrestleMania 38, he pinned Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship for the 4th time and also became the first superstar to hold both the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship simultaneously. ## It's unclear what they would be planning for Roman Reigns going forward. According to a Fan-based tweet, Roman Reigns suffered an injury during his WrestleMania match against Brock Lesnar, but the top sources haven't confessed to the report so far. ## Roman last appeared on the April 4th edition of Monday Night Raw.
