As he expresses his frustration, Imperium, led by WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther, along with Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci, interrupts and launches a vicious attack on Rhodes. The assault is brutal, leaving Rhodes battered and helpless in the ring. ## However, just as Imperium gloats in their dominance, Kevin Owens and Matt Riddle rush to the ring to make the save. The two fan-favorites charge in with intensity, fending off Imperium and helping Rhodes to his feet. Rhodes, fueled by his determination, demands that he be allowed to compete and challenges Imperium to a 6-man tag team match later in the event.
