Mumbai, Dec 31 (IANS) Singers Shaan and Neeti Nigam have recreated late legendary singer-actor 'Kishore Kumar's song 'Aate Jate Khoobsurat' from the movie 'Anurodh' while recording the title track of upcoming show 'Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey'. ## Speaking of the track, Shaan said: "I am a big Kishore Da fan and it's a great feeling to sing this legendary melody composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and lyrics by Anand Bakshi. No matter how hard I try, I could never create the magic already created in the original, so I just sang to the brief and guidance of the music producer Dhruv." ## Neeti called it a wonderful start for the new year and also a memorable experience. ## She added: "Recording the title track for their upcoming show 'Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey' was a wonderful and very memorable experience. Its soul-stirring lyrics can turn the worst day into a better one effortlessly. ## "While recreating this iconic song, we kept in mind the need to create something memorable, inventive, and something which created a sense of warmth in the new year for everyone." ## "The tone of the song had to be young, uplifting, and joyous while capturing the beautiful journeys of the variety of characters which this show will have." ## Neeti said that they have given their all to "make it sound at least a little bit closer to what Kishore Da made it sound like and are hoping for everybody to love the song as well as the music video." ## Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Seya will start from January 3 on Star Plus. ## Stay tuned.

TRPs look good for 'Bigg Boss Telugu 5' grand finale

Hyderabad, Dec 31 (IANS) The grand finale of the reality show 'Bigg Boss Season 5' garnered decent ratings on TRP, although it fell short of the previous season's finale, according to reports. ## The ratings of the four-and-a-half-hour-long episode are out. According to BARC, Star MAA has got 18.4 (SD+HD) TVR Ratings for the Grand finale. ## While the TRP ratings indicate some impressive numbers in the Urban category, the grand finale of 'Bigg Boss Telugu 5', as indicated by the TRP chart, doesn't draw higher ratings than those of seasons 3 and 4. ## India's top stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor appeared in the show's grand finale along with director SS Rajamouli and the 'Brahmastra' team. ## Also, the 'Pushpa' team- Rashmilka Mandanna, Devi Sri Prasad, and Sukumar were present to promote their movie, as well as take the show forward. ## The event had Nani and his 'Shyam Singha Roy' co-actors Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty as well. With Nagarjuna as the host, the season had ended on a high note. ## The makers of 'Bigg Boss' have announced the OTT version of the reality show, which is likely to begin in February 2022. ## Stay tuned.

'Game Of Thrones' writer George R.R. Martin teases 'House of Dragons' series

Los Angeles, Dec 31 (IANS) Novelist George R.R. Martin has seen a rough cut of the 'Game of Thrones' spin-off series 'House of Dragons' and "loved it", as he said that the "Targaryens are in very good hands". ## The 73-year-old author wrote the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series of books that the HBO fantasy drama was based on, and has now teased the upcoming spin-off series, which tells the story of the Targaryen family, is set to be "amazing", reports femalefirst.co.uk. ## In a post on his website in which he reflected on 'House of Dragons' being named IMDb's "most anticipated new show" of 2022, he wrote: "Don't tell anyone a I've seen a rough cut of the first episode. And loved it. It's dark, it's powerful, it's visceral a just the way I like my epic fantasy." ## Martin went on to praise executive producers Ryan J. Condal and Miguel Sapochnik for their work on the series, and said the show was "in very good hands". ## He added: "Ryan and Miguel have done an amazing job. And the cast a just as with 'Game of Thrones', most viewers will only have heard of a few of the actors, but I think you are going to fall in love with a lot of them. (Only to have your heart broken later when a but no, that would be telling). ## "I think the Targaryens are in very good hands." ## The author concluded his post by telling fans to "anticipate away" ahead of the show's premiere and said, "I do not think you will be disappointed". ## 'House of Dragons' follows the Targaryen civil war, which occurred about 300 years before the events that took place in 'Game of Thrones'. ## Stay tuned.

Mumbai, Dec 31 (IANS) Television actors Vishal Gandhi and Manish Khanna have talked about their entry in the show 'Meet' and how their characters will add more drama to the storyline. ## Vishal, who plays Tej Ahlawat in 'Meet', said: "My character in 'Meet' is slightly different from the usual ones I've portrayed so far. He is a well-respected guy who has been turned into a mentally unstable beggar because of some past incidents in life. ## "I am sure the revelation about my character will leave everyone astonished and that's why I agreed to be a part of this show." ## The actor, who is known for playing grey shaded character Mihir Sukhadia in 'Tamanna', said he loves to play challenging roles. ## He added: "It is also challenging to play divergent characters and as an actor, I am also seeking such roles." ## On the other hand, 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' actor Manish also expressed his happiness at being a part of the show. ## He shared: "I'm really glad to be a part of a show like 'Meet' which is loved and appreciated by the audience so much. It's always a challenge to join a show midway because the viewers are already accustomed and used to the actors, however, a new face always adds to the drama." ## He further shared about his on-screen personality, saying: My character of JP is slightly in the grey zone, but he is not wrong as a person. He just wants what is best for his daughter.
