America Ferrera to exit 'Superstore' after current season

Los Angeles, March 1 (IANS) 'Ugly Betty' actress America Ferrera is set to leave the comedy series 'Superstore' upon the conclusion of its current fifth season. ## Ferrera has been with the show since it launched and is also an executive producer on the single-camera series in addition to directing multiple episodes, reports, variety.com. ## "The last five years on 'Superstore' have been some of the most rewarding, enriching and enjoyable years of my career. Producing, directing and acting with this wonderful cast and crew has given me opportunities to grow as a person and storyteller," Ferrera said. ## She added: "I'm so grateful to my partners at NBC and Universal Television for the support and belief they have always placed in the show, and I'm most thankful to the brilliant Justin Spitzer for creating the funny, smart and relevant world of 'Superstore' and inviting me to be a part of it. ## "As I start the next chapter for my family and career, I wish only the best, and much continued success, to my beloved 'Superstore' family." ## The news of Ferrera's exit comes just over two weeks after it was announced that the channel was renewing the show for a sixth season. ## "America's immeasurable contributions to 'Superstore', both in front of and behind the camera as well as an ambassador for the show, can't possibly be quantified. We feel so fortunate to call her both a colleague and friend," said Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, co-presidents of scripted programming at the NBC Entertainment. ## "Superstore" takes place in fictional big box store Cloud 9. Los Angeles, March 1 (IANS) Model Hailey Baldwin has shared the party trick that made her now-husband Justin Bieber give her a call and reconcile after the two took a break from their relationship. ## During her appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", the model was asked "Did you do any party tricks?" ## "Well, I say this because the last time you were on our show, you did something that was the most amazing thing ever. Everybody was talking about it, you opened a beer bottle with your teeth," said Fallon, reports people.com. ## Hailey found it "really fun and there's actually another funny story behind this and that is that last time I was here, we did this little party trick where I opened a Corona bottle with my teeth". ## "The next morning -- after the interview had aired -- I got a certain phone call from a certain someone and it was a little like, ‘Hey, how are you? I saw you on Jimmy Fallon last night. You were looking really good. I loved that trick that you did, I had no idea that you can do that. It was so cool'. Cut to, I'm now married to that certain someone," she said. ## Fallon later said that the model initially met Bieber when she was just 13 years old in 2009. ## "I know, it sounds like this weird arranged marriage situation. We met because my dad, he brought me to the 'Today' show when Justin performed there. He was no more than 15 I think," she recalled. ## When asked if she was a fan of the singer at the time, she said that she was not. ## "To be honest, this is the truth. He was so new that I didn't really know a lot about him yet," she said. ## "It was really kinda before anything. I met him and his mom and my dad kind of just connected as friends and we invited them over to our house the next day. New York, March 1 (IANS) Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage was photographed carrying a stuffed beluga and holding hands with mystery 'girlfriend'. ## The 56-year-old actor was seen last weekend taking the same woman to visit his own pre-bought pyramid tomb in New Orleans. ## When he was seen in New York, Cage was wearing a suit and carrying a big white stuffed beluga whale, reports dailymail.co.uk. ## Meanwhile, his rumoured girlfriend sported leather trousers and a black jacket with thick fur trim. ## He bought himself the nine-foot-tall pyramid tomb in the French Quarter of New Orleans in 2010, and it was reported that he took the same woman to see it last weekend. ## A source said: "He was probably in there for 15 minutes looking at his tomb and then he came out.
