Blockbuster 'The Kerala Story' Crosses 200 Crores At The Worldwide Box Office

Mumbai, May 18 - Director Sudipto Sen's drama film The Kerala Story crossed the 200 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office within two weeks, becoming only the third Bollywood movie of the year to do so. ## The movie, based on true incidents, hits the double-century mark on its 13th day and currently stands at a little over 200 crores gross mark. In India, The Kerala Story has grossed approx. 194 crores (164.59 crores net) while the overseas collection is approx. 6 crores in 13 days.## The Kerala Story was released on May 12 in overseas markets and will debut in the UK on May 19. Made on a low budget, TKS has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters post the covid-19 pandemic. Box Office: The Kerala Story Second Wednesday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 17 - The Kerala Story is not going to stop anytime soon as it continues to stay over its opening day collection despite nearing its second week. ## After becoming the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year in just 12 days, the blockbuster hit scored an estimated 9-9.50 crores net collection on its second Wednesday. The movie sees a drop of just around 5% which is a remarkable hold. ## The total collection of the movie now reached around 166 crores net, including around 1.50 crores net in the dubbed Telugu version. Sunny Deol's All-Time Blockbuster 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' To Re-Release Ahead of 'Gadar 2'

Mumbai, May 17 - Sunny Deol-fronted romantic period action drama film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha with director Anil Sharma was released in June 2001 and went on to become the highest-grossing Indian film.## Over the year, "Gadar" gained cult status with immense popularity among all age groups, and now, the makers are coming with its sequel Gadar: The Katha Continues which is gearing up for its release in August this year. It is set 20 years after the first film and will see Sunny Deol reprising his role along with Ameesha Patel, and grown-up Utkarsh Sharma. ## Now, the makers are planning to re-release "Gadar" in cinemas in a 4K version ahead of its sequel's release. According to Pinkvilla, "Gadar" will be re-released in cinema halls all across the country on June 9, which coincides with the week in which Gadar was released back in the day. ## It is said to be a proper wide re-release as it will also be released in single screens along with multiplex chains. Mumbai, May 16 - Blockbuster The Kerala Story has crossed the 150 crores net mark and becomes the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of 2023 after another rock-solid day at the box office. ## On its second Tuesday, The Kerala Story sees a negligible drop of just around 5% for an estimated 9.75-10 crores net collection. This takes the total net collection to approx. 157 in just 12 days. Mumbai, May 14 - After scoring the biggest single day of its box office run yesterday, The Kerala Story exploded further on its second Sunday to register its biggest day so far.## As per the early estimates, the blockbuster movie scored an estimated 23 crores net collection, including around 50 lacs in the dubbed Telugu version. There is a possibility for the Hindi version to hit 23 crores net today which remains to see. ## The total collection of The Kerala Story has reached around 136 crores net in just 10 days, and it will cross "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" by tomorrow or Tuesday to become the second biggest Bollywood movie of the year. Mumbai, May 14 - The third installment of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Don has been in the making for a long time but it kept getting delayed. And just when fans' hope started getting shattered, producer Ritesh Sidhwani provides a major update on Don 3. ## During a recent interview, Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed that Farhan Akhtar is in the phase of completing the script soon and once it gets locked, the makers will take the next step. Mumbai, May 12 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn has teamed up with director Vikas Bahl for a supernatural thriller film. ## It marks the return of Ajay Devgn to the horror space genre after more than a decade and this yet-untitled movie will be produced by Ajay Devgn, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under Ajay Devgn Ffilm and Panorama Studios. ## The film is currently the pre-production work and will go on floors in June this year. The film will be shot in Mumbai, Mussoorie, and London over the period of the next 2 months. Mumbai, May 12 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar hasn't had much success in the last couple of years, and now, the hopes are pinned on his upcoming films which promise to show his versatility as an actor. ## Before the covid-19 pandemic, Akshay delivered back-to-back hits by portraying real-life characters, and one of his upcoming films falls in a similar genre. It is known to everyone that the Khiladi Kumar of Bollywood is doing the biopic of the late Jaswant Singh Gill, a former additional chief mining engineer.## Gill is renowned for his remarkable rescue operation in 1989, where he saved the lives of 65 workers trapped in a flooded coal mine in Raniganj, West Bengal. It has been reported that the movie was titled "Capsule Gill", however, the makers never confirmed the same and have been keeping mum about it.## Now, according to Bollywood Hungama, the movie has been titled The Great Indian Rescue. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Heads For Below 200 Crores Finish At The Worldwide Box Office

Mumbai, May 12 - Superstar Salman Khan's family action drama Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has completed 3 weeks with an underwhelming box office collection. ## Though the movie still has performed way better than most of the Bollywood films post the covid-19 pandemic those numbers don't justify the stardom of Salman. At the end of the 3rd week, KKBKKJ grossed around 183 crores worldwide, including 130+ crores domestically and over 52 crores overseas.## The film, directed by Farhad Samji, at once looked like a sure shot 200+ crores worldwide grosser but after the Eid opening weekend, it tanked badly and couldn't rise after that. The movie is likely to gross another 1 crore more to around 184 crores finish which is below average number for a Salman Khan film.## Irrespective of where the film finishes at the box office from hereon, KKBKKJ is already the 3rd highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year, after "Pathaan" and "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar". The Kerala Story First Thursday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 11 - The blockbuster controversial film The Kerala Story completes its first full week at the box office with flying colors, scoring close to 80 crores net collection. ## After the excellent first six days, TKS remains in the same line and scored an estimated 11-12 crores net, pushing the total net collection to around 80 crores. It may also finish above 80 crores which remains to see. ## The Kerala Story will cross the 100 crore net mark by its second Saturday and will become the fourth Bollywood movie of the year to reach this milestone. For a movie that was made on a low budget, this is an excellent box office return and it is not going to stop anytime soon.## There are a few films releasing this weekend in the form of "IB 71" and "Chatrapathi", among others, but TKS is expected to remain the first choice.
