Rohit Shetty Locks Super Solid Star Cast For Ajay Devgn-Led 'Singham Again'

Mumbai, May 17 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn will be returning as a fierce cop Bajirao Singham in director Rohit Shetty's Singham Again which is the third installment of the Singham franchise. It is among the most anticipated Bollywood films and easily the biggest film in Shetty's cop universe.

"Singham Again" will go on floors by August this year and will have a grand release during Independence Day weekend 2024. The movie is said to be the continuation of Akshay Kumar-fronted "Sooryavanshi" and Shetty plans to shoot it at various locations in India and abroad, with big-scale action scenes at real locations.



Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty has roped in a super solid star cast for his biggest film. While Ajay Devgn will head the movie, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh have been confirmed to play the extended cameos as fearless cops Veer Sooryavanshi and Simmba, respectively. Both will shoot their portions later this year for around 20 days, as per Pinkvilla.

Kareena Kapoor has been locked to reprise her role in "Singham Returns" (2014) and she will be playing the role of Singham's wife. Deepika Padukone will make her debut in Shetty's cop universe and will be playing a guest appearance as a lady cop. Jackie Shroff's character will take off from where "Sooryavanshi" ended and will be the main antagonist.

Apart from the aforementioned actors who are almost confirmed for the movie, there are rumors that Vicky Kaushal might also play the role of a cop "Singham Again". The actor is said to be in conversation with Shetty for the same, however, his appearance in the movie hasn't been confirmed by reliable industry sources.
