Shah Rukh Khan's Mega Blockbuster 'Jawan' Crosses 3.50 Crores Footfalls; Highest For An Indian Movie In 2023
Mumbai, October 9 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan had a fantastic 5th weekend at the domestic box office, scoring 6.45 crores net collection. The movie's total collection has now reached around 624 crores net while the gross collection is 741 crores. ## The 5th weekend collection has also helped the movie to cross 3.50 crores footfalls in India in all versions in 32 days. It has now become the most-watched Indian movie of 2023 in theatres, beating the previous record of SRK's own blockbuster "Pathaan" which scored around 3.40 crores footfalls.## The total admissions of "Jawan" currently stands at around 3.51 crores, including approximately 3 crores in Hindi alone. "Pathaan" had scored approximately 3.49 crores footfalls, including around 3.33 crores in Hindi alone. Sunny Deol's recent mega-blockbuster "Gadar 2: The Katha Continues" is the third most watched Indian movie of the year with 3.41 crores admissions, which is also the 2nd most in Hindi in 2023.## In 2023, three Indian films have scored 3+ crores footfalls and all of them are Bollywood movies. Superstar Rajinikanth's Tamil blockbuster "Jailer" garnered approximately 2.80 crores in admissions, and is the 4th most-watched movie of the year so far.## Directed by Atlee Kumar, "Jawan" is also the highest-grossing Indian movie of 2023, at the domestic and worldwide box office.
