The Bengal Files vs The Kashmir Files Box Office: Vivek Agnihotri's Final Files Chapter Struggles With Just 25% Of TKF's 3-Day Biz

Mumbai, September 8 - National award-winning filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's Files trilogy is heading towards a disappointing conclusion after the final chapter, The Bengal Files, falling short of expectations at the box office despite carrying similarities with The Kashmir Files, which became a mega blockbuster success. Based on the tragic true events surrounding Direct Action Day, also known as the Great Calcutta Killings on August 16, 1946, The Bengal Files has had an underwhelming opening weekend collection at the domestic box office. Despite positive reviews, the movie couldn't fly during the weekend after a decent opening of 1.75 crores net. TBF scored just around one-fourth (25%) of TKF with approximately 6.75 crores net (8 crores gross) in its 3-day opening weekend domestically. In comparison, the previous film in the Files series, The Kashmir Files, had an excellent domestic weekend with around 32 crores gross (27+ crores net). The sharp decline between the two films highlights the massive gap in audience interest towards the subject. While The Kashmir Files benefitted from extraordinary word-of-mouth, along with the awareness of the historical events, and became a cultural phenomenon, The Bengal Files is struggling to gain momentum, as trade believes that not many people are aware of the events shown in the film. One of the other major reasons for TBF's underwhelming performance is that the hasn't been allowed to release in its best-suited market, West Bengal, under political pressure from the ruling state party. The coming weekdays will be crucial to determine whether the film can pick up pace or settle for a modest run compared to its blockbuster predecessor. Stay tuned...

Non-Theatrical Boost: Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 4 Becomes Profitable Despite Mixed Box Office Start

Mumbai, September 7 – Tiger Shroff returned to the big screen with the latest action entertainer Baaghi 4, the fourth instalment in the decade-long franchise. Directed by A Harsha, the film opened to mixed reviews at the box office. The initial collections are on the expected line, given the reviews, but not up to the level of the franchise's standards. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Baaghi 4 is reportedly made on a budget of 80 crores, including production and marketing expenses. Despite the mixed collection, the film has already turned out to be a safe venture for its makers, thanks to solid non-theatrical deals across digital, satellite, and music rights. According to the report by Pinkvilla, the producers struck lucrative off-screen deals, fetching a total of 92 crore from non-theatrical revenue. This has resulted in a table profit of 12 crore, ensuring that the film's cost was recovered before theatrical revenue even came into play. It is said that the streaming rights of the A-rated action thriller were acquired by Prime Video for a big 50 crore, while Zee Cinema bagged the satellite (television) rights for 25 crore. Additionally, T-Series secured the music rights for 17 crore. Together, these strong deals helped Baaghi 4 become profitable on paper, despite the challenges at the ticket windows. At the box office, the Tiger Shroff-starrer opened decently with an estimated 12 crore net on day, but collections dipped on day 2, bringing in about 9.25 crore, for a two-day total of nearly 21.25 crore net, as the opening weekend is headed for around 30 crores net. The film's theatrical run will determine its overall standing with audiences, but for producers, the project is already in the green. The brand value of the Baaghi franchise has played a key role in helping the makers to fetch solid non-theatrical deals for the latest instalment. The franchise's mass appeal, blended with action, romance, and emotions, has struck a chord with the audience in all age groups. Baaghi 4, however, has taken a different path as it nullifies the family audience due to its adult tone, but it still has a loyal audience, which has kept it relevant despite the signs of franchise fatigue. Superstar Salman Khan Hilariously Trolls The U.S. President Donald Trump On Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar

Mumbai, September 7 - The US President Donald Trump's peace prize rant has made its way to the Indian television reality show Bigg Boss, hosted by superstar Salman Khan. During the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19 on September 6, 2025, blockbuster host Salman Khan gave a sharp reprimand to contestant Farrhana Bhatt, who refers to herself as a "peace activist", for instigating unnecessary conflicts inside the house. Salman delivered a strong critique of Farhana, and while doing that, he seemingly hilariously trolled Trump, who has been desperately seeking the Nobel Peace Prize for the works he has never done. The superstar said, "A peace activist is supposed to resolve conflicts and bring people together. But what's happening? around the world, those who create the most trouble are the ones demanding peace prizes." Megastar #SalmanKhan trolling Donald Trump 😂😭 #BiggBoss19"Is Dunia me jo sabse jyada trouble faila rahe h, unhe hi peace prize chahiye" pic.twitter.com/Z4SfUNm1Lb— MASS (@Freak4Salman) September 7, 2025 Netizens quickly interpreted Salman's remark as a cleverly veiled jab at U.S. President Donald Trump, who has been in the news for pushing for consideration for the Nobel Peace Prize, despite widespread criticism of his actions on the global stage. Trump's bid for the Nobel, including asking various nations to nominate him and support from his national security adviser, has been met with significant backlash and scepticism. The reaction online was immediate and enthusiastic, as social media users lauded Salman's sense of humour and drew a clear line between his words and Trump's real-life ambitions. One X user coined it, "Salman Sir ne ek bahut achi baat boli... Pehli Farhana aur dusra Donald Trump," applauding how Salman targeted both the contestant and "peace preacher Trump" with a single shot. Another said, "Lmao, Salman was bashing Farhana but ended up bashing Donald Trump indirectly... collateral damage at its finest." Meanwhile, Salman Khan will next be seen in the war action drama, The Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. Inspired by the 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley, the movie focuses on the intense hand-to-hand combat that occurred without firearms. The film began shooting in Ladakh in August and is a tribute to the bravery of Indian soldiers. The makers are eyeing to release the film in the first half of 2026. Stay tuned...

The Bengal Files Vs The Kashmir Files Box Office Day 1: Vivek Agnihotri's Final Files Chapter Fails To Match TKF's Opening

Mumbai, September 6 – National award-winning filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's much-discussed final instalment in the Files trilogy, The Bengal Files, has taken a moderate start at the Indian box office, badly affected by the intense competition with multiple films. On its opening day, The Bengal Files scored an estimated 1.75 crores net, which is a decent figure but falls short when compared to the good start of its predecessor, The Kashmir Files. Back in 2022, TKF had opened with 3.55 crores net, nearly double the start of Agnihotri's latest offering. The film, which marks the concluding chapter of Agnihotri's socio-political saga, based on dark truths of Indian history, carries significant expectations given the historic run of The Kashmir Files. While the opening is comparatively lower, the real test lies in word-of-mouth and how the collections trend over the weekend. Based on the events surrounding Direct Action Day on 16 August 1946, TBF is showing marginal growth on the second day. If the film manages to sustain well, it could still carve a strong run ahead, though matching The Kashmir Files’ record-breaking momentum seems like a challenging task. Stay tuned...

Spirit Runtime Update: Prabhas' Actioner Will Be Shorter Than Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Arjun Reddy and Animal Bollywood

Spirit Runtime Update: Prabhas' Actioner Will Be Shorter Than Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Arjun Reddy and Animal

Hyderabad, September 6 – Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who is known for his intense, emotionally charged dramas like blockbusters Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, and Animal, has revealed the potential theatrical runtime of his highly-awaited film Spirit starring pan-India superstar Prabhas. In a recent interaction, Vanga hinted that Spirit could be his shortest film to date in terms of runtime. During a talk show called Jayammu Nischayammu Raa on Zee5, SRV was asked about what the theatrical runtime of Spirit would be by host Jagapathi Babu. The blockbuster director, who is teaming up with Prabhas for the first time, revealed that he would make sure that the runtime remains below 3 hours. If this happens, it will probably be his shortest film, even shorter than Shahid Kapoor-fronted Kabir Singh. This is a surprising revelation considering the director's past works, which are known for their extended screen time, layered storytelling, and detailed character arcs. Kabir Singh (2019) was 172 minutes (2 hours and 52 minutes) long, while Vanga's other two movies, Arjun Reddy and Animal, clocked over 3 hours of runtime. Apart from runtime, SRV also revealed that for Spirit, 70% of the music is already done, as he feels that it is easier to shoot a film when the BGM is playing in the background, as we can easily tell when to cut. "During Kabir Singh, I realised that if the RR is done before the shoot begins, then it makes shooting much easier. I didn’t have those privileges during Arjun Reddy, but for Animal, 80% of the RR was done before the shoot itself," he said. The film marks Vanga's first collaboration with Prabhas, who will be seen playing a powerful cop in this high-voltage action drama. Given Prabhas' massive fan base and Vanga's reputation for hard-hitting, controversial storytelling, expectations are sky-high for Spirit, which is being mounted on a massive scale. Produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Vanga's Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit is one of the most anticipated Indian films, promising a blend of action, emotion, and Vanga's signature intensity. With the director now hinting at a sharper runtime, fans are curious to see how this change in storytelling style translates on the big screen. The film, which has Tripti Dimri as the female lead as she reunites with Vanga after Animal, is currently in the pre-production stage and is expected to go on floors soon. It is expected to be released by late 2026 in multiple Indian and international languages. Stay tuned...

Dhamaal 4 Wraps Filming: Ajay Devgn and Team Re-confirm A Blockbuster Box Office Clash As Complete Cast Reveal

Mumbai, September 6 – The wait for one of Bollywood's most beloved comedy franchises just got more exciting as the shoot of Dhamaal 4, directed by Indra Kumar, has officially wrapped up, and the makers have reconfirmed its release date for Eid 2026. Fronted by Ajay Devgn, the fourth instalment brings back the iconic trio of Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Jaaved Jaaferi, who have been synonymous with the franchise's success. The upcoming film also marks the return of Sanjay Mishra and Esha Gupta from the last film, while also featuring Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Ravi Kishan. Produced by T-Series, Maruti International, Ajay Devgn Films, and Panorama Studios, one of the most star-studded comedies in recent years promises to be a laughter-filled extravaganza that continues the legacy of Indra Kumar's comedy blockbusters. Aaj ki taaza khabar, brought to you by the gang, jo ab jald hi lootne aa rahe hain aapka dil…aur dimaag! 😉#Dhamaal4 arrives in cinemas on Eid 2026💥 @Riteishd @ArshadWarsi @jaavedjaaferi @imsanjaimishra #UpendraLimaye #AnjaliAnand @iamsanjeeda @ravikishann #EshaGupta… pic.twitter.com/VvBXSF7nY5— Ajay Devgn (@ajaydevgn) September 6, 2025 With its shooting wrapped and a powerhouse cast on board, fans can expect a perfect festive entertainer as the film gears up to hit theatres during Eid 2026. The Dhamaal franchise has been a fan-favourite since its inception, and with Ajay Devgn leading the madness this time, expectations are sky-high for another box office riot. Perfect But Highly Risky Release Date While Eid is a lucrative festive weekend for the box office, it is going to be a highly risky affair for the 2026 release. With Dhamaal 4 sticking to the original plan, the movie will have to face a mighty clash with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal's Love & War, along with Yash's Toxic, which are slated for a March 19 debut. It needs to be seen if all three films, arrive on Eid 2026, which is unlikely.

Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 4 Review War: A-Rated Actioner Leaves Fans Shocked and Surprised

Mumbai, September 5 - Producer Sajid Nadiadwala's action thriller Baaghi 4 starring Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff hit the big screen today, amid decent hype. The movie is directed by Kannada director A Harsha and also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Bajwa, Harnaaz Sandhu, and Shreyas Talpade in prominent roles. Baaghi 4, despite having the franchise advantage, was carrying a pre-assumption thought based on the teaser and trailer that it would be a cheap copy of Animal in terms of violence, but once the film hit the big screens, it left fans and neutral audience surprised with twists and turns, as per initial reception. Going by the early audience reports, it is revealed that while Baaghi 4 stays true to its A-rating, it is much more than what people had thought before release. The audience praises Tiger Shroff and calls the film one of his best works, but at the same time, there is criticism for excessive violence. The official premise of the film reads, "At his lowest, Ronny survives a deadly train crash he never intended to live through. The Bengal Files Vs The Kashmir Files Advance Booking Day 1: Vivek Agnihotri's Final Chapter In Files Trilogy Scores Stronger Sales

Mumbai, September 5 – National award-winning filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's much-talked-about reality-based political thriller film The Bengal Files, the final chapter in his popular Files Trilogy hits the big screen today, September 5, amid decent expectations. Based on a storyline focused on the 1946 Great Calcutta Killings and the Noakhali riots, depicting the violence and its aftermath as a genocide, The Bengal Files sees a low, but better than expected response in the pre-sales. The film managed to outshine the opening day sales of Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files, which went on to become a huge box office blockbuster. According to the tracked gross, the latest chapter in the filmmaker's controvercial trilogy, has managed to register 1.22 crore in Day 1 bookings (including block seats), thereby surpassing the advance sales of The Kashmir Files, which had clocked 1.13 crore gross back in 2022. This marks an interesting turnaround for Agnihotri, as expectations have been cautious given the sensitive subject and competition at the box office. With controversy around its release adding to the buzz, The Bengal Files has managed to decent advance traction, positioning itself for a better than expected opening day. Released in March 2022, The Kashmir Files was a surprise blockbuster that stunned the industry by recording the opening of over 3.50 crores net (4+ crores gross), followed by phenomenal word-of-mouth, eventually grossing over 300 crore worldwide. It set a high bar for The Bengal Files. Industry trackers note that while The Bengal Files has shown stronger pre-sales than TKF, the ultimate test will lie in audience word-of-mouth once the film hits theatres. If it follows a trajectory even close to The Kashmir Files, the film could emerge as another major success story. Stay tuned...

Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 4 Box Office Preview/Day 1 Prediction: Eyes Double-Digit Opening

Mumbai, September 4 – Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff's wait is about to end as he returns with the fourth instalment of the action-packed Baaghi franchise, which carries decent buzz ahead of release with its advance booking performance. The film is recording one of the best pre-sales for a Tiger Shroff starrer in the post-pandemic era, generating notable buzz among fans and action lovers. Directed by A Harha, Baaghi 4 pre-sales for the opening day are promising, which indicates an opening in the range of 12–13+ crores net. However, sections of the trade remain cautious, expressing scepticism over these pre-sales, particularly due to the past experience of block bookings that can inflate early numbers. Despite this, trade circles are hopeful that Baaghi 4 could secure a double-digit day 1 opening. If the spot booking response remains good, the movie is projected to land in the 9–11 crores net range on opening day, which would still mark one of Tiger Shroff's stronger starts in recent years. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the fourth instalment of the popular action franchise is being closely watched for its box office performance. The Baaghi series has historically opened well thanks to its high-octane action and mass appeal, and Baaghi 4 seems poised to continue the trend, provided it sustains momentum after day 1. With positive early booking trends and fan anticipation, all eyes are now on whether Tiger Shroff’s latest outing can convert its advance sales into solid footfalls and maintain strong collections beyond the opening day. It also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Bajwa, Harnaaz Sandhu, and Shreyash Talpade in prominent roles. Stay tuned...

Mumbai, September 4 - Director Vivek Agnihotri's much-awaited reality-based political thriller The Bengal Files is facing trouble in getting released in West Bengal amid pressure from the ruling state party, alleges the national award-winning filmmaker. Scheduled to release on September 5, the film presents a storyline focused on the 1946 Great Calcutta Killings and the Noakhali riots, depicting the violence and its aftermath as a genocide, and claiming that these chapters of history were deliberately suppressed or ignored. Ever since the movie was announced, it has been under constant scrutiny for showing the dark truth of Indian history. Now, this scrutiny is leading to the unofficial ban on the film in Bengal, which forced the makers to write an open letter to the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, for urgent intervention. It is worth noting that similar hurdles were also faced by Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files, which some of the states refused to release, but the film went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of 2022. It needs to be seen how things unfold for The Bengal Files, which carries similarities with TKF. Baaghi 4 Advance Booking Day 1: Set To Be The Best For Tiger Shroff In Post-Pandemic Era

Mumbai, September 4 - Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff is looking to make a strong comeback at the box office with his upcoming action thriller Baaghi 4 after a series of flops in the post-pandemic world. The early signs of the smashing comeback are looking promising, considering the pre-sales. Directed by A Harsha, Baaghi 4 is surprisingly having a better-than-expected response in the opening day pre-sales and has already raked in around 5 crores gross (without block seats) and when including blocked seats, the number shoots past 7.75 crores, with the final hour left before the release. As the trend indicated, the film has the best advance booking for a Tiger Shroff-starrer in recent times, even better than Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which also had Akshay Kumar. Opening Day Advance Booking Comparison with Other Tiger Shroff Films - - Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024) – It had low bookings considering the star power at 4.81 crores (without block seats), over 7 crores (with block seats) for the first day. - Ganapath (2023) – Registered poor advance bookings, failing to cross even the 3 crore (with block seats) mark for the opening day. - Heropanti 2 (2022) – Also suffered from weak pre-sales, but ended up better than Ganapath with around 5 crores (with block seats) for day 1. With these numbers, Baaghi 4 is on track to surpass Tiger’s recent outings and could emerge as his best opener since the pandemic if spot bookings also trend strongly. The Baaghi franchise has been known for delivering high-octane action and has a strong brand recall among audiences, which is clearly reflected in its advance sales. If momentum continues, Tiger Shroff might finally score the much-needed box office comeback with Baaghi 4, after a string of underperforming releases. The movie, also starring Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Bajwa, Harnaaz Sandhu, and Shreyas Talpade, is scheduled to release on September 5. Stay tuned...

Mahavatar Narsimha Box Office Day 40: Animated Blockbuster Inches Towards Major Milestone

Mumbai, September 3 - Kaleem Productions and Hombale Films' animated epic Mahavatar Narsimha continues to hold its ground even after more than a month in theatres. The Ashwin Kumar's directorial has once again showcased remarkable staying power at the box office, inching closer to a massive milestone. On its 40th day, the mega blockbuster grossed 0.80-1 crore across all languages at the domestic box office. This strong performance at such a late stage in its run is a testament to the extraordinary word-of-mouth and family audience support the film has enjoyed. With this, Mahavatar Narsimha's domestic total now stands at around 292 crore gross, bringing it within striking distance of the coveted 300 crore mark. Considering its steady trend and consistent turnout, the film is well on track to achieve this milestone in the coming days, unless the new releases completely outplay it. The film already cemented its place as one of the biggest blockbusters in the genre and continues to expand its audience base with repeat viewings, particularly during weekends and festive days. Its unique blend of Indian rootness, grand visuals, and devotional storytelling has made it a cultural phenomenon at the box office. As the film enters its 7th week, all eyes are now on whether Mahavatar Narsimha can cross the 300 crore gross milestone domestically, further strengthening its legacy as a landmark success in Indian animation cinema, or it falls short of this magical milestone. Irrespective of what happens, it is already the box office blockbuster of the year. Stay tuned...

War 2 Box Office Woes: Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR's Actioner Set To Finish As The Lowest YRF Spy Universe Grosser Domestically Bollywood

War 2 Box Office Woes: Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR's Actioner Set To Finish As The Lowest YRF Spy Universe Grosser Domestically

Mumbai, September 2 - When War (2019) exploded at the box office with nearly 475 crore worldwide, it set the bar sky-high for its sequel. Expectations grew even bigger when Yash Raj Films announced the addition of Telugu superstar Jr. NTR alongside Hrithik Roshan, making War 2 one of the most anticipated films of Spy Universe. Everything was going well as the industry was in the joyce mood three weeks before in the anticipation of the film's box office juggernaut. And then came D-Day, and despite the hype, the film gave a little shock to the trade with the lower-than-expected opening. This little shock soon turned into an utter disappointment as the film could never recover from its underwhelming opening. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is in its third week of box office run, and it can be said that it has fallen short of expectations, and fallen short by miles, as it is now set to finish as the lowest-grossing film in the franchise at the domestic box office in its original Hindi version. War 2's Box office Struggle After the underwhelming but still respectable opening weekend of 191+ crores gross, including 153 crores in Hindi, War 2 lost momentum completely at the domestic box office as it fell like a deck of cards without putting up any fight. After 19 days, the film has grossed only 280 crores, including 212 crores (176+ crores net) in Hindi in India. Domestically, War 2 will end below the lifetime collection of Salman Khan-fronted Ek Tha Tiger, which was the first film in the YRF Spy Universe. ETT was released more than a decade ago in 2012, and despite the much lower ticket prices and no franchise advantage, the movie grossed over 263 crores (198+ crores net) domestically in Hindi. With War 2 nearing its end, it will end up as the weakest domestic performer in the Spy Universe, a sharp contrast to the roaring success of its predecessor. Even in all versions (including Telugu and Tamil), War 2 has barely managed to cross Ek Tha Tiger domestically, while at the worldwide box office, it will end up as the second lowest grosser in the Spy Universe, only ahead of ETT, which grossed 320 crores worldwide. The Bigger Picture The YRF Spy Universe has been home to some of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters, from Ek Tha Tiger to Pathaan. War 2 was expected to build on that momentum, but its struggle highlights the risks of relying too heavily on franchise value and star power without equally strong storytelling. War 2 is far from the box office monster fans hoped for. As it ends up as the lowest domestic grosser in the Spy Universe, the pressure now shifts to upcoming instalments like Alpha, Pathaan 2, to restore the franchise's dominance. Stay tuned...

Baaghi Franchise A Step Away From 500 Crore Domestic Box Office Milestone: Baaghi 4 To Do The Honours? Bollywood

Baaghi Franchise A Step Away From 500 Crore Domestic Box Office Milestone: Baaghi 4 To Do The Honours?

Mumbai, September 2 - Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff's Baaghi franchise has emerged as one of the most bankable action sagas in Bollywood over the past decade. With its high-octane stunts, chartbuster music, and Shroff's ever-growing fan following, the series has maintained consistent box office success across its three instalments so far. The stage is set for the fourth instalment, which releases on September 5. Directed by A Harsha, Baaghi 4 is the darkest film in the Baaghi franchise, being the first to get an A certificate from CBFC. There is a great deal that depends on this film, which is also a make-or-break moment for Tiger, who has been going through a rough period. The success of Baaghi will not only give a big relief to Tiger, but it will take the Baaghi franchise past 500 crores gross collection at the domestic box office. Collectively, the franchise has already amassed around 428 crores in India with three films, making it one of the few Bollywood action series to maintain steady commercial momentum. With the arrival of Baaghi 4, the series now stands on the brink of entering the prestigious 500 crore club domestically. The film will need a little over 70 crores gross to take the franchise into the prestigious box office club, which looks like an easy task, given the past films of the series, but then, it will not be as easy as it looks in the current scenario. No Big Task But Need To Overcome Challanges Tiger Shroff was a real deal in the pre-COVID-19 era, where he consistently delivered box office numbers. However, things have changed since then, as his films have struggled to attract audiences to the cinema halls. For Baaghi 4 to help the franchise cross the 500 crore milestone seems like no herculean task, but it has to overcome challenges, including franchise fatigue and Tiger's poor box office form. Industry watchers believe Baaghi 4 has every chance of pushing the franchise comfortably past the landmark, provided it carries the same mix of adrenaline, emotion, and music that has been the hallmark of the franchise. If the upcoming instalment performs as expected, the Baaghi series will join the elite club of Bollywood franchises that have crossed the half-a-thousand-crore mark worldwide, strengthening Tiger Shroff's stature as one of the few stars who can drive a franchise on his shoulders. Sidharth Malhotra's Top 5 Opening Weekend Grossers: Param Sundari At No. 4 Behind Student of The Year

Mumbai, September 1 - Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra returns to the big screen with the romantic-comedy Param Sundari, which is off to a good start at the box office. The movie carried a decent buzz, which also translated into footfalls on the expected lines. Param Sundari scored the opening weekend collection of around 27 crores net, which is among the biggest of his career, but the biggest opening weekend still belongs to Brothers, which released in 2015 and also starred Akshay Kumar. The action drama opened to good numbers and collected around 52 crore in its first three days. Close behind Brothers is romantic action thriller Ek Villain (2014), which turned out to be a game-changer for Sidharth. With its strong music and gripping storyline, the film earned over 50 crores net in its opening weekend and cemented the actor's standing among the bankable young stars of that time. Sidharth's debut film, Student of the Year (2012), backed by Karan Johar, continues to hold a special place. Despite being a launchpad for three newcomers, Sidharth, Varun Dhawan, and Alia Bhatt, the film impressed at the ticket windows with a 30 crore weekend. More than a decade later, it still outshines some of his recent work, including Param Sundari, when it comes to the opening performance. Just behind Param Sundari, which is the 4th biggest opening weekend grosser of the actor, is Kapoor & Sons (2016), which managed 26 crore despite not being promoted as a mass entertainer. Another notable film is Marjaavaan (2019), which collected over 24 crore but couldn't break into the top five weekend grossers of Sidharth. With Param Sundari placing fourth in his career's biggest opening weekends, it's evident that Sidharth's strongest box office impact so far has come from action-packed or ensemble films. As he continues to explore new genres, fans and trade alike will be watching closely to see if he can surpass the benchmark set by Brothers and deliver an even bigger opening in the future.
