Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' Is The Most-Awaited Hindi Film

Mumbai, July 19 - The year 2023 could script the biggest comeback ever in Indian cinema as superstar Shah Rukh Khan is coming to rule the box office again with not just one but three films. ## The Badshah of Bollywood will be headlining his first film in more than 4 years in the form of Pathaan with director Sidharth Anand, followed by Atlee's Jawan, and by the end of the year, he will be seen in director Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. All three movies will be made on huge budgets and thus, these movies are carrying a lot of anticipation. ## According to Ormax Cinematix, "Pathaan" is currently the most-awaited Hindi film, followed by Akshay Kumar's Ram Setu, which opens this Diwali. Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan's Vikram Vedha is the third most anticipated movie at the moment followed by Prabhas-fronted Adipurush, and SRK's "Jawan" at number 4 and 5 respectively. ## In the top five most-awaited Hindi films, King Khan has two films, which shows that audience is so looking forward to watching the superstar on the big screen after a long time. It is to be noted that Ormax Media has considered only those releasing from September 2022 onwards whose trailer has not yet been released. ## "Pathaan", which is produced by Yash Raj Films, is currently under post-production. The actress will be making her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan-fronted Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, which is currently under production and will be released on December 30, 2022. ## Now, according to the latest reports, the bubbly and talented actress has signed her second Hindi film and will star alongside veteran Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. The movie will be produced by Rhea Kapoor and it will be directed by her husband Karan Boolani, as per ETimes. ## The yet-untitled movie is said to be based on a modern take on relationships. There have reportedly been meetings between the two over the last few months but nothing was made official. ## According to the latest reports, Mythri Movie Makers is moving ahead with its collaboration with Salman Khan and has reportedly signed talk of the town, Lokesh Kanagaraj. Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra 2 Casts Deepika Padukone To Play One of The Female Leads

Mumbai, July 18 - Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji has been working on the Brahmastra film trilogy, of which, the first movie Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, is gearing up for its worldwide theatrical release on September 9, 2022. It stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles along with Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. ## The first film of the "Brahmastra" trilogy has multiple cameos including Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Deepika will reportedly be featured in the climax of the first part and it will set the stage for Part 2. Now, according to the latest reports, the actress has been signed on to play the lead role of Parvati in "Brahmastra 2", which might take off by the end of 2023. ## According to Pinkvilla, "The makers have locked Deepika Padukone to play the character of Parvati. In fact, Deepika will also make a cameo towards the end of Brahmastra, which will eventually take the film into the second part". ## "Brahmastra 2" will be the continuation of the First Part and Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who play Shiva and Isha, will reprise their roles in the second part as well. Mumbai, July 17 - One of the biggest box office blockbusters and critically hailed, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, starring superstar Salman Khan, has completed 7 years since its release in 2015. The Kabir Khan-directed comedy-drama film made over 960 crores at the worldwide box office and is one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of all time. ## The story of the film was written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who revealed in a recent interview that he pitched the film to his son SS Rajamouli before he committed it to Salman Khan. Vijayendra Prasad revealed that Rajamouli loved the story and even wished to direct it but things didn't materialize as he was directing Prabhas-fronted "Baahubali" at that time. ## "Before I was about to commit the story to Salman Bhai, I narrated it to my son and tears started rolling from his eyes. I asked if I should keep the story for him, but he asked me to give it away. Once the film was released, he came to me and said 'Papa, you asked me at the wrong time. I was shooting the climax of Bahubali 1 and it was a jittery situation then. 7 Years of Salman Khan's All-Time Blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Mumbai, July 17 - Exactly 7 years ago on this date, Bajrangi Bhaijaan was released in the cinemas and went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters ever and one of the greatest films ever made. Bajrangi Bhaijaan starred superstar Salman Khan as a titular character who was the reigning box office god of that time, and with Bajrangi Bhaijaan, his stardom reached a pinnacle that was never seen before by any star. His run from Dabangg to Bajrangi Bhaijaan had witnessed 7 blockbusters in 8 films with Jai Ho being the only exception.## Bajrangi Bhaijaan was directed by Kabir Khan who earlier directed Salman Khan in a blockbuster espionage-thriller "Ek Tha Tiger". Both "Ek Tha Tiger" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" remain the only blockbusters in the repertoire of Kabir Khan. ## Released on 17th July 2015, Bajrangi Bhaijaan had a pre-eid release but still, the film opened to a packed house across the nation. The centers which were not hit by pre-eid opened to a bumper response due to the star pull of Salman Khan. The film recorded more than 27cr net on the first day making it one of the biggest openers of that time and the second highest of the year 2015 after Salman Khan's own Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which clocked over 40cr on the first day. ## The word of mouth of Bajrangi Bhaijaan was super-positive and as a result, the film created history on the second and the third day of its run by raking over 36cr and 38cr net box office collections respectively. The third day of Bajrangi Bhaijaan was the highest single-day record ever then by beating Aamir Khan's blockbuster PK. ## Bajrangi Bhaijaan was also the first film that collected 100cr net collections in the first weekend (first-three days) only. Till now there have been only 6 films that have crossed 100cr net collections in the first weekend and out of which 4 films are Salman Khan starrers - Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Race3. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo came close to 100cr but missed it by a few lakhs only though if you add all version collections then even Prem Ratan Dhan Payo reached the benchmark.## The comedy-drama also created the first-week record overtaking Aamir Khan's PK. Bajrangi Bhaijaan broke every initial record being a social-drama genre is the credit to the star power of Salman Khan. In the final lifetime collections, Bajrangi Bhaijaan fell a little short of breaking PK's record of 340cr but Bajrangi Bhaijaan sold more tickets (footfalls) than PK making it a bigger hit. It was the 2nd biggest hit of the last decade after Dangal which sold 3.69cr tickets as far as Hindi films are concerned and overall Bajrangi Bhaijaan was the 3rd biggest hit in the Hindi belts after Baahubali2 and Dangal.## Bajrangi Bhaijaan was also released in China and saw an unprecedented success thereby collecting almost 500cr collections there. The worldwide total of the film was just a little short of the prestigious 1000cr club. To date, only Dangal, Baahubali2, RRR, and KGF2 have clocked more than 1000cr worldwide business but most of them are recent releases and if you adjust the worldwide footfalls of Bajrangi Bhaijaan with today's ticket prices then the value of the film will be more than 1100-1200crs. ## There have been very few films in the history of the Hindi cinema which broke box office records and stood by the taste of the time which is a definition of a classic film patronized by a huge section of audiences and Bajrangi Bhaijaan is one such great example of that. Filmmaker Vijayendra Prasad Gives Major Update on Salman Khan-Fronted 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2'

Mumbai, July 17 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan announced the sequel to his cult classic blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan last year though the details were not disclosed then. Vijayendra Prasad, who wrote the first part, has been working on the sequel as well, and now, he has provided a major update on this highly-anticipated sequel. ## During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the filmmaker said that he has locked the basic idea of the sequel and it will be the continuation of the first part. The sequel, which is titled Pawan Putra Bhaijaan, will take place 10 years after the first part and it might start rolling out next year. ## "I have narrated the story outline to Bhai and he has loved it. Now the ball is in his court to decide on timelines. The story takes an 8 to 10-year leap in Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. I am hopeful that the sequel will be no lesser than the first part", he said. ## Vijayendra Prasad also revealed that he got the basic idea about the "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" movie from Megastar Chiranjeevi's "Pasivadi Pranam". One of Vijayendra Prasad's associates suggested he should make a movie in which our hero goes to Pakistan and bashes them. He said he improvised the script as the intention was to make a film that doesn't increase the animosity between the two countries but decreases it.## Salman Khan is currently shooting for Farhad Samji-directed "Bhaijaan". Ali Abbas Zafar To Co-Produce and Direct Hindi Remake of 'The Transporter'

Mumbai, July 16 - A few weeks ago, it was reported that filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar has acquired the Hindi remake rights of Jason Statham-fronted Hollywood actioner The Transporter (2002). And now, as per the latest reports, Ali will also direct this big-budget flick. ## It is said that Ali has been wanting to make the Hindi remake of this English-language French action thriller and bought the rights from EuropaCorp some two months ago. Apart from directing the movie, Ali will co-produce it with Vishal Rana and a big studio is expected to collaborate as well, according to ETimes. ## The original starred Jason Statham as Frank Martin, a driver for hire—a mercenary "transporter" who will deliver anything, anywhere, no questions asked—for the right price. It also starred Shu Qi as Lai Kwai.## Ali Zafar is currently busy with the pre-production work of "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. It will go on floors in January next year.
