Dhanush and Anand L Rai To Reunite For An Action Love Story

Mumbai, June 21 - Director Anand L Rai and actor Dhanush are teaming up again for the third time. It was ALR who successfully launched the Tamil star in Hindi with the love story film "Raanjhanaa" in 2013 before the duo reunited for "Atrangi Re" (2021) which also starred Akshay Kumar in an extended cameo. ## The duo is now reuniting for an action love story, titled Tere Ishk Mein, which is set to go on floors in November this year. It is said that ALR has been working on the script for some time now. Both the actor and director have had multiple meetings over the last few months.## On Wednesday (June 21), as Raanjhanaa celebrates its 10th anniversary, the makers announced the movie officially with the first look teaser which is looking impressive from word go and promises to be another blockbuster ride.## Anand L Rai took to Twitter to make the announcement and narrates to the audiences what they are going to witness. "Kuch kahaniyan kisi purane dost jaisi mil jaati hain! Jo haath nahin milaati, seedhe aake gale lag jaati hain. 10 saal pehle ek aisi hi kahani mili thi humein... Kundan ki kahani. Dost tha mera, par jee naa saka... uska mood nahi tha jeena ka!", he wrote. ## "Ab 10 saal baad phir ek kissa aaya hai; Kundan aur ye ladka ek se hi hain, bus iska mood duniya phoonk dene ka hai! Sirf aapke liye... 'Tere Ishk Mein'", the filmmaker added.## ## The movie is produced by Himanshu Sharma and written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav. AR Rahman will score the music of the film. Apart from Dhanush, the makers are looking to cast an A-List actor to play the female lead and get a big ensemble on board the film. ## Meanwhile, Dhanush is currently shooting for the period action-adventure Tamil film "Captain Miller". It is set in the Madras Presidency of the 1930s and 40s. Dhanush will be sporting three different looks in the movie and the character will also have two more names. Mumbai, June 20 - Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra's action thriller film Yodha has reportedly been postponed again. It is directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha and produced by Dharma Productions in association with Prime Video and Mentor Disciple Films. ## "Yodha" was scheduled to release on September 15 this year, but the latest reports have confirmed that the movie will now be releasing on October 27, 2023, a week after Tiger Shroff's "Ganapath" and two weeks before superstar Salman Khan's highly-anticipated "Tiger 3". ## The confirmation regarding the release date postponement is yet to be made officially by the makers. Superstar Salman Khan's Next Film After 'Tiger 3' To Be 'Tiger vs Pathaan'?

Mumbai, June 20 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's immediate next after much-awaited "Tiger 3" might be Tiger vs Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan. The superstar has been listening to scripts for quite some time now but none of them are looking to start anytime soon. ## According to Pinkvilla, Salman is committed to shooting for "Tiger vs Pathaan" in the first quarter of 2024 with Shah Rukh Khan. It was previously revealed that before TvP, Salman would take up a new film to release either on Eid or Diwali next year. ## Director Vishnu Vardhan has narrated a story to the actor and he is keenly interested in it. But given the huge scale, the project needs at least 4-5 months of pre-production work. Mumbai, June 19 - Maddock Films' decision to go with the traditional way is reaping rich rewards as its latest comedy-drama film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke has turned out to be a big box office success. ## At one point, this Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan-fronted movie was in the line of going direct-to-digital way, but better sense prevailed and now, as things stand today, it has grossed around 95 crores at the worldwide box office, including approx. 10 crores overseas, in 20 days.## The success of ZHZB has taken the trade by surprise as no one was ready to give it a chance to survive beyond the weekend. Due to its desi flavor, the movie met with positive word of mouth, plus no real competition helped it as it to gross over 80 crores worldwide in the first two weeks.## The first two weeks were the best chance for the movie to earn as much as it could. Box Office: Adipurush (Hindi) Third Day/First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, June 18 - Prabhas-fronted Adipurush scored a humongous opening weekend at the Hindi box office. The movie, despite the negativity, remained rock solid over the weekend to hit the second-biggest opening weekend in Hindi in 2023. ## After collection approx. 74.25 crores in the first 2 days, Adipurush is witnessing a jump of around 5-10% on its first Sunday as early estimates suggest around 38-39 crores net collection. It showed a drop in the night shows but still is collected superbly throughout the day to push the total collection to around 114 crores in Hindi, which is an excellent result by any means. ## The movie has seen a jump in collections at both mass and multiplex centers today which resulted in a decent jump. The opening weekend performance of Adipurush in Hindi has exceeded expectations as pre-release projections were around 75 crores net. ## Adipurush opened with mixed word of mouth but the Ramayana factor has played a vital role in its performance in Hindi. It will now be interesting to see how it performs from tomorrow onwards which will give an idea about when it can finish its run. ## Meanwhile, the movie is likely to have crossed the 300 crores gross mark at the global box office in the opening weekend itself. Mumbai, June 17 - Adipurush which had an extraordinary opening day collection of 37.25 crores net in Hindi is holding exceedingly well on its second day which is a huge plus for the film as the reports are very mixed, and on top of that the film has faced huge negativity on social media. ## The early estimates suggest around 37 crores net on its second day/first Saturday in Hindi which is very similar to the first day. The only difference is the mass centers have seen some drop, especially in the northern belt. The Ramayan factor is the biggest plus in the northern belts but in bigger centers, it will be all about the content which will do the talking. ## The first two days of collections will take the total collections of Adipurush to around the 74cr net box office mark. Box Office: Adipurush Emerges Biggest Bollywood Opener of All-Time

Mumbai, June 17 - Pan India superstar Prabhas's magnum opus Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, was in the full flow of its opening day at the domestic as well as overseas box office.## "Adipurush", which is technically a Bollywood production, becomes the first Bollywood movie of all time to gross over 100 crores at the domestic box office in all versions. It has beaten the opening day record of Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" (68 crores) which was released in January this year. ## The movie grossed a solid approx. 102.50 crores at the domestic box office. The Telugu version led the charge with approx. 56.50 crores gross, followed by the Hindi version which accounted for approx. 44 crores gross collection. The versions remained low on the opening day and collected approx. 2 crores gross. The Hindi net collection of 37.25 crores of "Adipurush" is the 9th highest of all-time, ahead of "Sultan" and behind "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".## At the overseas box office, "Adipurush" scored around 25 crores, pushing the total worldwide collection of the movie to 126 crores, which is the highest for Bollywood and 5th highest for an Indian movie after "RRR", "Baahubali 2", "KGF 2" and "Saaho". "Pathaan" grossed 105 crores worldwide on the opening day. ## Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster "RRR", which was released last year, remains the biggest Indian opener of all time with 223 crores gross. It is also the biggest opener domestically with 156 crores gross. The second-best worldwide opener is again SSR's "Baahubali 2" which starred Prabhas in the lead. Mumbai, June 16 - The mega release of the day, Adipurush starring Prabhas and directed by Om Raut has been released at the box office to an unprecedented start. The film was always likely to have an excellent start as it is based on an epic Ramayan but still this sort of start and that too on nonholiday is extraordinary. ## The early estimated collections for the first day of Adipurush in the Hindi version indicate at least 35 crores net. If the night shows perform really well, then a 40cr net opening day is also within reach. The film will easily be the second-highest opening of 2023 in the Hindi version after Pathaan. Even if you take a nonholiday then Adipurush will be the third-highest opener ever in the Hindi version after Pathaan and Prabhas' own Bahubali: The Conclusion.## The reports of the film are mixed just like every event film but that will hardly matter for the general audience who is seeing the film due to the Ramayan factor. Adipurush Sells Over 1 Million Tickets In Advance For The Opening Day

Mumbai, June 15 - One of the most anticipated Indian films of the year, Adipurush is finally hitting big screens tomorrow in multiple languages. The movie, based on the epic Ramayana, is directed by Om Raut and stars Prabhas as Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan, among others in key roles. ## "Adipurush" is the major attempt to adapt Ramayana and it seems that the Indians are eager to experience this epic on the big screen which is clearly visible in the pre-booking. The advance booking of the movie was opened on Sunday (June 11) and since then, the response to pre-sales has been exceptional. ## The movie has sold over 1 million tickets in advance for all versions, and becomes the second Indian movie of the year to score this much sales after "Pathaan". All-Time Blockbuster 'The Kerala Story' Crosses 300 Crores At The Worldwide Box Office

Mumbai, June 14 - Director Sudipto Sen's drama film The Kerala Story is nearing its end at the box office but it has done more than what was asked for. The movie has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of all time with its phenomenal collection. ## Starring Adah Sharma, "The Kerala Story" has crossed the 300 crores mark at the global box office, and becomes only the 2nd Bollywood movie of the year to do so. It has so far grossed approx. 302 crores, including approx. 15.50 crores overseas box office in 49 days. ## At the domestic box office, TKS grossed around 286.50 crores (including 3 crores of Telugu version) to date, which is the second biggest for a Bollywood movie this year after Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan". Box Office: 'Adipurush' To Emerge The Biggest Opener For An Indian Movie of 2023

Mumbai, June 15 - The stage is set for superstar Prabhas-fronted magnum opus Adipurush which releases this Friday (June 16) in multiple languages. The Om Raut's directorial has been one of the most anticipated Indian movies and it is expected to emerge as one of the biggest hits of the year. ## The advance booking of the film was opened on Sunday (June 11) in Hindi while the Telugu booking started yesterday (June 14). The response to the pre-booking has been excellent so far, especially in the Telugu version which is witnessing houseful shows across Telugu states.## As reported earlier, "Adipurush" is all set to emerge as the biggest Indian opener of the year, beating Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" which scored 67 crores gross collection in all languages in January. "Adipurush" is expecting 100-110 crores gross at the domestic box office in all versions. ## The Telugu version of the movie is projected to score around 55-65 crore gross while the Hindi version, which will be key for the film's overall success, is expected to open around 35-40 crore gross number. The other versions are likely to fetch 5-10 crores on the opening day. ## Talking about the Hindi collection of "Adipurush", the advance booking trend indicates, at least, 25-30 crores net on day 1. Since the movie is the cinematic adaptation of Ramayana, the spot booking of the film should be strong due to the family audiences and this could make it an easy 30+ crores net starter in Hindi. Akshay Kumar's 'The Great Indian Rescue' Release Date Locked

Mumbai, June 14 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar reunites with his "Rustom" director Tinu Suresh Desai for a rescue thriller film which has been titled The Great Indian Rescue. ## The film is based on a mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, who rescued 64 miners at the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989. It is a detailed adaptation of the incident in which Akshay Kumar plays the role of Jaswant Singh Gill while Parineeti Chopra features as the female lead. ## On Wednesday (June 14), the makers confirmed the release date of "The Great Indian Rescue". Contrary to the rumors, the movie will be released in theaters on October 5, 2023. It will be Akshay's third release of the year, after "Selfiee" and the upcoming social comedy-drama "OMG 2" (Aug. 11). ## "The Great Indian Rescue" is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, and Ajay Kapoor under the banner of Pooja Entertainment. Adipurush (Hindi) Opening Day Box Office Prediction

Mumbai, June 14 - Director Om Raut's magnum opus Adipurush is just around the corner with just 2 days to go for the release in multiple languages worldwide. It has been one of the most-awaited films due to its subject and solid star cast. ## Produced by T-Series, Retrophiles, and UV Creations, "Adipurush" is based on the epic Ramayana, and stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, and Devdutt Nage, among others in key roles. The movie has been certified with a "U" certificate by CBFC with the approved runtime of 2 hours and 59 minutes.## As reported earlier, "Adipurush" will release on over 6200 screens in India, including over 4000 screens for the Hindi version only. The advance booking for the same was opened a couple of days and the response so far is very good for the Hindi version which is key for the film's overall success.## The advance booking trend of the "Adipurush" Hindi version is better than SS Rajamouli's "RRR" which scored around 7 crores pre-sales for the opening day. Prabhas-Fronted 'Adipursh' Overseas Advance Booking Status

Mumbai, June 13 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Adipurush is having a good response in advance booking collection, domestically and overseas. In India, the movie already has sold over 150K tickets for the opening day and is looking to score one of the biggest pre-sales by the time it releases. ## While the epic drama was expected to have good pre-sales in India, it is also seeing encouraging responses in the key international markets. In the USA, it has so far scored approx. $800K (6.60 crores) with 42K advance tickets sold for the opening day, including premiere.## In Australia, the pre-sales for the opening day is approx. A$150K (83 lacs) so far while in the UK, the pre-sales are around £55K (50 lacs) and around €5K (4.5 lacs) in Germany. In Canada, the advance booking sales so far are around $30K (25 lacs). ## Talking about the USA, "Adipurush" is expected to score $1+ million through the premiere. It scored a very good jump after the XD shows got opened. Ali Abbas Zafar Intends To Make Shahid Kapoor's 'Bloody Daddy' Sequel For Theaters

Mumbai, June 13 - Director Ali Abbas Zafar hasn't come up with a theatrical release since Salman Khan-fronted "Bharat" in 2019. His next big screen release is Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-fronted "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" which is slated for Eid 2024. ## Meanwhile, the filmmaker may have been away from theaters, but he wasn't away from filmmaking during these last couple of years. He came up with three OTT titles, including the recently released "Bloody Daddy" with Shahid Kapoor. ## "Bloody Daddy" was directly released on Jio Cinema and got mixed responses from the viewers. However, the movie left the director's core audiences asking if the movie could have a theatrical release and if there could be a sequel to it. ## During a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Ali Abbas Zafar said that "It's a big compliment when people watch your content and say it's a big-screen experience", however, he cleared that the movie was always going to be an OTT release since it deals with rough scenes which were important for its storytelling. ## The filmmaker further said that he would love to make a sequel to "Bloody Daddy" if the audience feels associated with the characters for a long time. "People have to be talking about it six months or a year after the release. Then it's a validation that the film and the character have stayed with the audience". He said that if the sequel is made, he will try to make it as a theatrical release.## Ali Abbas Zafar also revealed that he has completed principal photography of "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" and has started editing the film.
