Box Office: Bollywood's Highest First Week Scorers Of 2022, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Second, The Kashmir Files Tops
Mumbai, May 27 - Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has scored the second biggest first week of 2022 for a Bollywood movie as the film collected 92.05 crores net box office collections in the first seven days of its release. The first week's collections of Bhool Bhulaiya 2 is the second to the all-time blockbuster The Kashmir Files in 2022 which collected Rs. 97.30cr net box office collections in the first seven days. Alia Bhatt fronted Gangubai Kathiawadi directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali scored 68.93 cr net box office collections in the first seven days to claim the third spot in the list. These three are the only films that collected very well in their first weeks. Though 100cr first week collections are not huge collections in today's time as event films are going above 200cr and the all India blockbuster KGF Chapter 2 has collected 268.63cr net box office collections in its first week in the dubbed Hindi version but for a mid-sized film, 100cr first week is a huge number and all three films from The Kashmir Files to Bhool Bhulaiya 2 to Gangubai Kathiawadi are mid-sized films with The Kashmir Files being the smallest of the lot in terms of production cost and star cast.
