Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Surpasses 500 Crore Gross In India; Becomes The 11th Movie To Do So

Hyderabad, July 6 - Another box office milestone unlocked for Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD as it has become the 11th film ever to top 500 crores gross collection at the Indian movie, and first of 2024. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic crossed 500 crores gross in India after scoring another approximately 20 crores on its 9th day, taking the total to an estimated 514+ crores so far. Kalki 2898 AD is the third movie of Prabhas, the second for Deepika Padukone, and the first for Amitabh Bachchan to top this box office milestone while playing a lead role.## The latest blockbuster is currently the 11th highest-grossing title in India and is in touching distance with Prabhas' Baahubali - The Beginning which minted an estimated 516 crores India gross in 2015. Mumbai, July 5 - Kalki 2898 AD starts the second weekend with a solid hold in the Hindi version with the collection not much less than its previous day, which was expected as it is currently the only major movie in theatres. ## The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic has had a fantastic first week with approximately 162.50 crores net collection in Hindi, and on its second Friday, the movie minted an estimated 9.25-9.75 crores net to take the total to over 171.50 crores in the dubbed version in 9 days. ## Kalki 2898 AD will surpass 200 crores net by the second Sunday on which it will also have a chance to top Fighter to become the biggest Hindi grosser of the year at the domestic box office. Mumbai, July 5 - Director Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD inches one step closer to 1000 crores gross after topping 700 crore gross collection on its 9th day at the worldwide box office, becoming the first Indian movie of the year to do so. ## The Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted flick grossed an estimated 709+ crores worldwide, including 514+ crores in India and 195 crores at the overseas box office. Mumbai, July 4 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has become the actor's second highest-grossing film at the worldwide box office, after topping SS Rajamouli's directorial Baahubali on its 8th day of run. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic grossed approximately 641 crores worldwide in the first 7 days, and with its 8th day's collection (2nd Thursday), the movie has topped Baahubali - The Beginning which grossed an estimated 650 crores worldwide in 2015. ## Kalki 2898 AD has been on a dream run since its debut on June 27. Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Beats 'Fighter' To Score The Biggest First Week In Hindi In 2024

Mumbai, July 4 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has beaten Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Fighter to score the biggest first week of 2024 at the Hindi box office. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD has earned approximately 152.30 crores net collection in Hindi in 7 days so far, whereas, Fighter had scored 146.50 crores in its extended first week. Both the movies have had a Thursday release, leading to an 8-day extended week. ## Interestingly, Siddharth Anand's directorial, Fighter had posted a bigger opening weekend with approximately 118.50 crores net than Kalki 2898 AD's 109 crores. Mumbai, July 3 - Kalki 2898 AD finishes the first week (7 days) with 150+ crores net collection in Hindi, making it the biggest of the year for an Indian film after the solid first Wednesday at the box office with a drop of under 20% from Tuesday. ## As per the early estimates, the Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic scored 11-12 crores net collection on its 7th day, dropping around 15% from yesterday which is a regular drop. Prabhas 'Salaar 2' Shoot To Begin On August 10

Hyderabad, July 3 - Pan India superstar Prabhas, currently basking on the mega box office success of Kalki 2898 AD, is set to start the sequel of last year's success Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel amid the rumours of it getting shelved. ## Salaar Part 1 was one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2023 and the makers planned to commence the shoot of Salar Part 2 sooner than later to complete the story. The movie was supposed to go on floors by June this year but now, it will roll out in August. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the 20% shoot of Salaar 2 is already completed and the makers will resume it on August 10 with a 15-day schedule at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Mumbai, October 9 - Maverick director SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion set the benchmark for not just Telugu cinema but also in the Hindi and rest of the versions. Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Storms Past 500 Crore Worldwide Gross In 4 Days

Hyderabad, July 1 - Kalki 2898 AD is an unstoppable force at the box office and has topped 500 crores worldwide in the opening weekend, exceeding all expectations despite being a mid-week release in India as well as internationally. ## The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic was all in its box-office glory and finished the opening weekend with an estimated 130+ crores gross on Sunday globally and this takes its total collection past 500 crores. It has also become Prabhas' 4th highest-grossing movie ever in just 4 days, behind Baahubali 2, Baahubali, and Salaar: Ceasefire.## In India, the movie has minted an estimated 370 crores gross while the overseas collection is approximately 145 crores, for 515 crores worldwide total. As said, Kalki 2898 AD is the 6th Indian movie, after Baahubali 2, RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, Pathaan, and Jawan to score 500 crores or more in the first weekend (including the extended weekend). ## After Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, Prabhas becomes the third Indian actor to deliver 500 crores worldwide opening weekend grosser as a lead actor. Mumbai, July 1 - In no time, Pan India superstar Prabhas has another movie in the 100 crores net club in Hindi.## The sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, has become the 6th film and third consecutive for the Baahubali star to achieve the milestone of 100 crores net in the dubbed version. Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Scores Biggest Opening Weekend For An Indian Movie In North America

Los Angeles, July 1 - It's raining records for Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD which has scored the biggest opening weekend for an Indian movie in North America as it entered in the top 10 highest-grossing Indian film there, according to trade analyst Luiz Fernando. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD scored an estimated $11.2 million (93.35 crores) in the 4-day opening weekend+Wednesday previews and is now the 8th biggest Indian title there after beating Salaar: Ceasefire's $8.90 million, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani's $10.6 million, and PK's $10.60 million entire run there. ## Kalki 2898 AD will next surpass Padmaavat ($12.20 million) and Dangal ($12.40 million) in the next couple of days as the 6th highest-grossing Indian title in North America. Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, June 30 - All hell loose as Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD hits the ball out of the park on its first Sunday as the movie is showing a jump of around 40% in the dubbed Hindi version which is phenomenal as Saturday was itself huge with approximately 26 crores net collection. ## The collection on Saturday was affected by the final of the T20 World Cup to some extent but Sunday made up for the lost ground. As said, Kalki 2898 stormed past the 100 crores net mark in the 4-day extended weekend after an estimated 38-40+ crores net (45-47+ crores gross) on its first Sunday for a total of around 110 crores net (~130 crores gross) in Hindi. ## The Hindi version collection is strong everywhere, be it in mass centres or multiplex and the trend is such that it will score well during the weekdays as there were some capacity issues at some places which are expected to come good in the coming days.## Apart from Hindi, the rest of the other versions were also firing all calendars on Sunday as the overall collection is flirting with 100 crores gross as estimates suggest 95-105 crores for all versions today and it could higher depending on South versions. Hyderabad, June 30 - Director Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD has topped 300 crores gross at the worldwide box office after the huge first Saturday despite the India and South Africa T20 World Cup final match which saw Men In Blue emerging winner in a thriller clash. ## The Prabhas-starrer movie, however, largely remained unaffected and grossed over 100 crores worldwide on its third day. On the ticketing platform Book My Show, Kalki sold 1.28 million tickets (12.80 lahks) on day 3, a jump of around 15% on the second-day ticket count of 1.12 million on the platform. ## The movie grossed an estimated 77+ crores in India on its third day, which pushed the domestic total to around 260 crores.
