Maddock Films To Unveil Teasers of Akshay Kumar's 'Sky Force' And Vicky Kaushal's 'Chhava' With 'Stree 2' In Theaters

Mumbai, July 23 - Produced Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films in the top form after the box office success of its horror-comedy Munjya. The studio's next release is Shraddha Kapoor-fronted Stree 2, which is the 5th instalment in Maddock Supernatural Universe. It is scheduled to be released on August 15.## Meanwhile, Maddock Films is gearing up to launch the teasers of Akshay Kumar's action thriller Sky Force and Vicky Kaushal-starrer historical action drama Chhava directly in theatres with Stree 2 which is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and is easily to biggest for Maddock Films. ## Sky Force is directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur. The film also stars Veer Pahariya and Nimrat Kaur, among others in key roles. Produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Sky Force is a take on India's retaliatory attack on Sargodha airbase of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965, described as India's first and deadliest airstrike. Box Office: 'Bad Newz' First Monday Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 22 - After the opening weekend of nearly 30 crores net, Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk's comedy-drama Bad Newz sees a drop of over 60% on its first Monday which is a little higher than expected.## According to the early estimates, the Anand Tiwari's directorial scored in the range of 3.50 crores net collection on its 4th day, pushing the total collection to over 33 crores net. The drop from opening day is over 50% which was needed to be under 50% to be called a decent hold. ## Bad Newz is heavily dependent on multiple audiences as mass centres are not showing much interest which was expected given the theme of the film. Given the fact that Bad Newz is performing fairly well among its target audience, the first Monday hold can be seen as a respectable one. ## The movie needs to perform to the level of Monday's collection throughout the week as first full week is headed to finish around 41 crores net. Mumbai, July 21 - Dharma Productions' comedy drama Bad Newz has a good first weekend at the domestic box office with close to 30 crores net mark after a jump of 5%-10% on Sunday.## According to the early estimates, the film scored in the range of 10.75-11.25 crores net collection on its third day/first Sunday, pushing the total collection to around 29.50 crores in 3 days. It is the fifth biggest opening weekend for a Bollywood title of 2024.## The jump on Sunday is pretty flat or limited which is often the case with multiplex movies, plus there is a strong holdover in Kalki 2898 AD which is ruling mass centres as well as multiplex. 'Bad Newz' Opening Day Box Office Expectations

Mumbai, July 18 - The Hindi box office may have another surprise winner this weekend in Dharma Productions' comedy drama Bad Newz, starring Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk in the leading roles. The movie is directed by Anand Tiwari and co-produced by Leo Media Collective. ## The film's advance booking opened a couple of days ago and unlike its title, the booking trend has been good news for the industry and the makers in particular. Dharma Productions' Clarifies On The Rumours of 'Kill' Remake

Mumbai, July 16 - Producer Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has issued an official statement on the recent speculations about the remake rights of its action thriller Kill which is currently playing in theatres and doing decent business.## Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, Kill was announced to be remade in Hollywood by John Wick director Chad Stahelski even before the film's official release in India on July 5.
