Chiranjeevi And Salman Khan's 'Godfather' Confirms Dussehra 2022 Release

Hyderabad, July 5 - The first look poster of megastar Chiranjeevi's "Godfather" has been released. Directed by Mohan Raja, "Godfather" is the official remake of the Malayalam blockbuster "Lucifer" starring Mohanlal. ## The first look poster of the movie, which was released on July 4, features Chiranjeevi in a salt and pepper look and he is seen wearing black shades. The makers also shared a glimpse to introduce the megastar's character. The glimpse shows Chiranjeevi arriving in an ambassador car as thousands of party workers wait for him outside the office. ## The background music in this intro scene is remarkable from Thaman S. The movie will also star Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in a prominent role along with Nayanathara as the female lead. The industry has been a standout performer during the covid-19 pandemic, however, it reduced the gap between theatrical and OTT window, which has now been revised.## From July 1st onwards, all the top stars' movies will have to complete at least 8 weeks of the theatrical window before making them available while other movies will need a minimum of 6 weeks to run in theaters. Prabhas-fronted Salaar and Allu Arjun-starrer Puhspa - The Rule will most likely to release in second half of 2023, due to the delay in production. ## The Prashanth Neel directorial "Salaar" has been in production since last year. It was originally announced for the release in April 2021, however, the makers were forced to delay the release as the shoot of the movie is nowhere close to completion.## Director Prashanth Neel had recently said that the entire shoot of the film will be completed by this year-end only as only 30% of the entire filming is done yet. The film will now be released in the second half of the next year.
