Chennai, September 2022: Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film "Beast" is one of the most-awaited films. His last release "Master" was a blockbuster and the expectations are even higher this time. While the shooting of "Beast" is currently underway in Delhi, the speculations around its release have been making noise over the last couple of months. ## Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, "Beast" has been looked at as a Pongal 2022 release. However, with the Pongal festival is already full of potential blockbusters, and the fact that the shooting of "Beast" is yet to be completed, the makers of the films have reportedly changed their Pongal release plans. ## According to Pinkvilla, the makers have decided on delaying the film to the Summer 2022 window, most probably in April end. The shooting is nearly 60% completed and the entire shoot is expected to wrap on November 20. The film moves into the post-production stage thereafter. ## Beast, produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures, is said to be set against the backdrop of a mall taken over by the terrorists resulting in a hostage-like situation. The mall sequence was shot in Chennai a few weeks ago. The film is loaded with strong and raw human emotions around Thalapathy Vijay's character. ## The movie also stars Pooja Hegde in the female lead role opposite Vijay. There are three antagonists in the movie, and one of them is Selvaraghaavan. One of the other baddie roles is played by famous Malayalam actor Shine Tom Kochacko. Chennai, August 8, 2021: Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay is currently shooting for his next film, Beast. The actioner is being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar while Kalanithi Maaran is bankrolling this biggie under his banner Sun Pictures. The movie will see Pooja Hegde playing the female lead opposite Vijay. ## Meanwhile, Sun Pictures has revealed the rest of the cast details and it was surprising to many fans who were not expecting the rest of the cast anytime soon. There are three antagonists in the movie, and one of them is Selvaraghaavan. One of the other baddie roles is played by famous Malayalam actor Shine Tom Kochacko, who joined the sets of Beast's third schedule this week.## The production house has also announced that Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, and Lilliput Faruiqui who is a Bollywood comedy actor and the writer of the Vikram Betaal TV series, will be a part of the star cast. In addition to it, Malayalam actress Aparna Das, along with Ankur Ajit Vikal will also be starring in the film. ## There is a buzz that the third antagonist of Beast will be revealed soon and it could be a Bollywood actor. Chennai, July 13, 2021: The Madras High Court has slammed Tamil superstar Vijay for seeking tax exemption for his Rolls Royce Ghost, which he bought in 2012 in England. Dismissing a writ petition filed by actor Joseph Vijay in 2012, the HC also slapped a fine of ₹1 lakh to be paid by him to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund.## Justice S.M. Subramaniam came down heavily on the actor and said that his fans consider him a real hero in Tamil Nadu. Thus, the actors should behave accordingly and not reel heroes. The HC also criticized Mr. Vijay for not having even disclosed his occupation in the affidavit filed in support of his case.## "It is surprising to note that the petitioner has not even stated his profession or occupation in his affidavit. He has imported a prestigious costly car from England but unfortunately, not paid entry tax as per the statutes. He has filed a writ petition to avoid payment of tax... The petitioner, who is a reputed cine actor, is expected to pay the tax promptly and punctually", the judge said.## "In the State of Tamil Nadu, cine heroes have risen as rulers of the State and therefore, the people are under the impression that they are real heroes. Thus, they are not expected to behave like reel heroes. Tax evasion is to be construed as an anti-national habit, attitude and mindset and unconstitutional", he added.## "The common men are motivated and encouraged to behave as lawful citizens and pay tax and to thrive hard to achieve social justice in the society. If the rich, affluent and reputed persons fail to pay the tax as applicable, then this Court with pain, records that it would be a long way to achieve the constitutional goals", the court obesereved. ## Meanwhile, on the work front, Vijay is currently shooting for his next film titled "Beast" with director Nelson Dilipkumar. Mumbai, June 15, 2021: Tamil superstar, Thalapathy Vijay's big mass action entertainer, "Master", was the first big budgeted film to release in theaters on January 13 amid the covid-19 pandemic. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial became an instant blockbuster and re-inbuild confidence in producers to release their films. ## On January 15, producer Murad Khetani of Cine1 Studios along with Endemol Shine India, and 7 Screen Studio bought the Hindi remake rights of Master. Recently, it was reported that Salman Khan has been roped in to play the titular role in the remake. The actor liked the film and he expected to announce the film next month in July. ## According to Box Office Worldwide, the makers of the Hindi remake also approached the director Lokesh Kanagaraj to helm the Hindi version also. The report further said that Lokesh is yet to confirm, and most likly, he won't be helming the Hindi version due to his other commitments. The director already has Vikram, Thalapathy67, Kaithi2 along with few Telugu movies. ## The Hindi adaptation will also reportadly be different from the Tamil version to fit the image of the mainstream hero. The original movie stars Thalaptahy Vijay as a boisterous professor along with Vijay Sethupathi as antagonist and Malavika Mohanan as the female lead. ## Reportadly, Salman Khan has also bought the Hindi remake rights of Ravi Teja starrer Telugu movie, Khiladi, which is yet to hit theaters. Mumbai, June 12, 2021: IMDb has unveiled its list of the most popular Indian films and web series of the year so far. Even though the cinema halls are closed in most of the states, over 250 Indian films had released between January and April before they shut down. ## Among the titles released in theaters, most of them came from the South Indian film industry. Also, a vast range of content has been released on streaming platforms including films and web shows until June.## The list released by IMDb features titles released between January 1, 2021, and June 3, 2021, and is "based on IMDbPro data on the page views of IMDb users in India". Thalapathy Vijay's "Master" finds itself at the number 1 position as the most popular title of 2021 so far while TVF web series Aspirants ranked second in the list. ## In the top 10 most popular Indian films/shows on IMDb, 7 of them are films and 3 are web series. From the last couple of weeks, there have been a lot of reports claiming National Award-winning director, Vetrimaaran joining hands with Thalapathy Vijay for his next film. While the reports have come out true, the film, however, is not happening anytime soon with the director busy with his other commitments.## According to TOI, Vatrimaaran has confirmed his film with Vijay. He was supposed to direct Thalapathy's 65th film but missed the opportunity due to his prior commitments. The box office hit duo of actor Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to reunite for their next project. After producing the biggest blockbuster, Master post lockdown, the actor-director duo will reportedly be collaborating for Thalapathy 66, i.e. Vijay's 66th film. A month after Master release (January 13), there were speculations that Vijay will be teaming up with Master director again for his next. ## According to India Today, Kanagaraj recently met Vijay at his residence in Chennai and narrated a script. The actor was impressed with the storyline and agreed to work with him again after completing Nelson's project, tentatively titled Thalapathy 65.
