Mumbai, September 20 - One of the most celebrated Bollywood films of the 21st century, Veer-Zaara starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukerji has entered the 100 crores gross club at the worldwide box office, thanks to its re-release run time and again.## The Yash Chopra's directorial superhit film was recently re-released this month and has crossed approximately 1.75+ crores in the first week. Earlier, the movie had an occasional limited re-release this year where it scored approximately 40 lakh gross collection. ## Apart from 2024, Veer-Zaara has had an occasional re-release from 2005-2023 during which it grossed 2.50 crores. Including the film's original run collection of approximately 97 crores gross globally, its total worldwide collection is now 101.75 crores approx, which includes 37 crores overseas gross.## Produced by Yash Raj Films, Veer-Zaara was originally released on November 12, 2024, on the occasion of Diwali and clashed with Akshay Kumar's Aitraaz. Mumbai, September 20 - As Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 is getting closer to becoming the biggest Hindi grosser of all time at the domestic box office, the horror-comedy blockbuster has topped 30 million (3 crores) footfalls in India. ## The Amar Kaushik's directorial has crossed 3 crore admissions in Indian theatres as I type this and becomes the second film of 2024 to achieve the feat after Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD. Stree 2 is the first 3 crore footfall title for the entire major cast and crew along with Maddock Film and Jio Studio.## Post the COVID-19 pandemic, Stree 2 is the 8th film to sell 30 million or more tickets at the Indian box office, after RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, Pathaan, Gadar 2, Jawan, Animal, and Kalki 2898 AD. Additionally, Stree 2 has sold 10 million tickets through the ticketing platform Book My Show, making it the second movie of 2024 after Kalki to do so. ## At the box office, the Maddock Films' production has scored approximately 564 crores net collection (673 crores gross) at the domestic box office. Mumbai, September 20 - Folk horror thriller Tumbbad re-release has had a very good first week at the domestic box office which saw it almost outgrossing the film's lifetime original run of approximately 13.50 crores net collection. ## Rahi Anil Barve's directorial remained over the 1 crore mark for the seventh day in a row, scoring approximately 1.25 crore net collection on Thursday. This took the total re-release collection of the movie to approximately 13.15 crores net in 7 days. ## Tumbbad is expected to witness a good jump on its second Friday due to National Cinema Day on which the ticket prices are kept at just rs. 99. It will cross its original run today (8th day) and then will look to continue the momentum for a week or more.## The total domestic collection (including original and re-release)of this critically hailed flick has now reached approximately 26.60 crores net (31.15 crores gross). Mumbai, September 20 - 20th Century Studios' sci-fi horror thriller Alien: Romulus has scripted a box office history to become the highest-grossing horror movie of all time in IMAX. ## Directed by Fede Álvarez, the 7th movie in the Alien franchise has so far grossed over $40 million in IMAX format since its debut in mid-August 2024, making it the biggest horror grosser in this premium format.## Alien: Romulus is going strong and recently crossed $300 million at the worldwide box office. The movie has so far grossed approximately $332 million, becoming the highest-grossing horror movie of the year. The film's production budget is $80 million. ## At the domestic (North American) box office, the movie has grossed $102 million while overseas collection stands at $230 million. Hyderabad, September 19 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's much-awaited action drama Devara: Part 1 has fetched good worldwide pre-release theatrical business. The movie, directed by Koratala Siva, is scheduled to hit the big screens on September 27 in multiple languages. ## Devara marks Jr. NTR's first solo release in 6 years and it has easily scored the highest pre-release business for the actor other than RRR which was a 2-hero tentpole. According to Andhra Box Office, the total worldwide business of the movie has been locked at around 180 crores. ## In Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), the theatrical rights of Devara are valued at approximately 113 crores, including 45 crores in Nizam and 22 crores for Ceded area. Outside AP-TG, the Karnataka business is valued at 15 crores, followed by approximately 16.50 crores in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. ## The makers are expecting Devara to emerge as a big success in the Hindi belt and the business for the same is locked at approximately 15 crores while the overseas theatrical rights are sold at 26 crores. As said, the movie will need to score around 180 crores share (350 crores gross) at the worldwide box office to break even and emerge as a hit. ## Devara is one of the most anticipated Pan India movies of the year and if it manages to get positive word of mouth, then it will be an easy road for it to emerge as a big hit at the box office. Mumbai, September 19 - Director Anees Bazmee is facing some heat ahead of the release of his hugely-awaited Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan. The horror comedy is scheduled to hit the big screen on November 1st and it will clash with another biggie, Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn. ## There has been a lot of buzz around the box office clash between BB3 and Singham 3, and it seemed Bazmee was not happy with it as BB3 was the first to lock a Diwali release in its pursuit of getting a solo release. It was recently reported that the BB3 team approached director Rohit Shetty to consider postponing the release of his cop drama. ## Bazmee said in a recent interview the BB3 and Singham Again releasing at the same weekend is a business decision taken by the producers and he doesn't want to interfere in this by asking Ajay Devgn and anyone else to reconsider their decision. However, the comments made by the filmmaker didn't go well with a section of the audience and now, he has issued a clarification on the same. ## "Some media personnel are misinterpreting my statement. As a filmmaker with over three decades of experience, I focus on crafting compelling stories, not getting entangled in film release/ business dynamics", Bazmee said and added that he is excited about both movies. ## "I've seen many films succeed despite releasing on the same day. Mumbai, September 19 - The beloved Japanese and Indian anime production Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama is coming to Indian theatres this October, more than two decades later since it was first released in the early 90s. ## The timeless epic will be hitting Indian cinemas on October 18, 2024, in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and English, languages. Chennai, September 19 - Tamil star Suriya's much-anticipated fantasy action drama Kanguva is set to hit the big screens in the mid-November 2024 after the makers officially postponed it from October 10 release to avert a clash with superstar Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan. ## Directed by Siva, Kanguva will be released on November 14 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
