Alongside Doctor Doom, fans can spot returning X-Men including Cyclops, Magneto, Mystique, Nightcrawler, and Professor X, as well as MCU heroes such as Loki, the Fantastic Four, and members of the New Avengers. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) While the artwork appears to represent the film's core lineup, Marvel has not confirmed whether it includes the complete cast, leaving room for additional surprise appearances. Spider-Man: Brand New Day Box Office Projection: Tom Holland Starrer To Miss $200 Million in North America Opening?

BY SACNILK

Los Angeles, July 10 - Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to deliver one of the biggest domestic openings in box office history. While excitement surrounding the Tom Holland-starrer continues to soar, the latest industry estimates indicate that the film is headed for a massive debut in North America. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) According to Deadline, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently projected to open in the $180 million - $190 million range across North America. If the estimate holds, it would comfortably register the biggest opening weekend of 2026 and rank among the largest superhero debuts ever. However, the projection currently falls just short of the coveted $200 million milestone that many analysts and fans are anticipating. Despite the current tracking, the film has every chance of surpassing expectations. Advance ticket sales are reportedly staggering, indicating demand that appears stronger than what a $180-190 million opening would typically suggest. With three weeks remaining before release, tracking is expected to evolve as premium-format screenings continue to sell out and momentum builds closer to opening day. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) History has shown that major event films, particularly Marvel releases, often outperform early projections thanks to explosive walk-up business and last-minute ticket sales. Given the exceptional pace of pre-sales, the current estimates could prove conservative, making a $200 million-plus opening weekend a realistic possibility. The last movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home, swung to a monstrous $260 million domestically, which was way more than what projections were showing. A similar kind of hysteria is expected for Brand New Day, which is most likely to open above $200 million during its domestic opening weekend; at least, this is what pre-sales reportedly suggest. The film is scheduled to release on July 31.

From Independence Day To Christmas: Five Upcoming Major Holiday Clashes at the Indian Box Office 2026

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, July 2 - The Indian box office in the second half of 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most competitive theatrical periods in recent memory. With pan-India spectacles, franchise sequels, Hollywood tentpoles, and superstar-driven entertainers arriving within the same release windows, audiences are set to witness several massive clashes across languages and genres. From Shah Rukh Khan to Yash, from Marvel to Tamil horror franchise, the upcoming release calendar is packed with high-stakes battles that could redefine box-office records in India. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Here are five of the biggest upcoming clashes to watch out for (with confirmed current release dates). 1. Awarapan 2 vs Batwara 1947 — August 14 The Independence Day weekend will bring an interesting face-off between nostalgia and patriotism at the Hindi box office. Awarapan 2 marks the return of Emraan Hashmi to one of his most loved cult characters. The original Awarapan earned a loyal fan following over the years because of its music, emotional storytelling, and dark action-drama tone. The sequel already carries strong nostalgia value among millennials and longtime Bollywood fans. On the other side is Batwara 1947, a patriotic period drama featuring Sunny Deol, reuniting with the legendary director Rajkumar Santoshi. With historical themes and mass-market appeal in North India, the film is expected to target family audiences during the holiday corridor. While both films cater to different audience segments, the clash could significantly impact screen allocation and opening-day collections. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) 2. Toxic vs Eetha vs Vvan — August 26/28 This is shaping up to be one of the biggest extended clashes of the year. Yash's Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups will officially release on August 26, 2026. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the gangster-action thriller is among the most anticipated pan-India films. The film is expected to dominate premium formats, especially large multiplex chains. Just two days later, Eetha and Vvan arrive on August 28. Eetha, starring Shraddha Kapoor, is a culturally rooted dramatic film, while Vvan is a supernatural thriller featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia. Despite releasing later, both films are expected to benefit from the festive holiday corridor and strong youth appeal. Because Toxic gets a two-day head start along with the Onam holiday advantage, the weekend could turn into a massive multi-film battle across India. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) 3. Sardar 2 vs Demonte Colony 3 — September 10/11 Tamil cinema is preparing for a major holiday box-office showdown. Karthi's Sardar 2 arrives as the sequel to the successful spy-action thriller Sardar. Directed by P.S. Mithran, the sequel is expected to scale up the espionage action and franchise storytelling significantly. At the same time, Demonte Colony 3 continues one of Tamil cinema's strongest horror franchises. Horror films have consistently performed well in Tamil Nadu, especially among younger audiences and urban centres. With both films targeting the Vinayagar Chaturthi holiday frame, competition for screens and audience attention is expected to be intense. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) 4. Avengers: Doomsday vs Dune: Part Three — December 18 The Christmas corridor begins with a giant Hollywood-versus-Hollywood battle. Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday is expected to become one of the biggest global releases of the decade. Despite fluctuations in MCU box-office performance in recent years, the Avengers brand remains extremely powerful in India, not just in multiplex chains and IMAX screens, but also in smaller centres. Sharing the same release window is Dune: Part Three, the continuation of Denis Villeneuve's acclaimed sci-fi saga. While Dune primarily targets premium urban audiences, the franchise has built a strong fanbase among Indian cinephiles. The biggest battle here will likely revolve around IMAX and premium large-format screens, where both films are expected to compete aggressively. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) 5. King vs Shakti Shalini — December 24 If the release dates remain unchanged, this could become the interesting clash of the year. King marks Shah Rukh Khan's return to the big screen in a large-scale action entertainer directed by Siddharth Anand after Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki in December 2023. Following the blockbuster success of his previous films earlier in the decade, expectations surrounding King are already enormous. Facing it is Shakti Shalini, a major film connected to the expanding Maddock horror-comedy universe. While King is expected to dominate single screens and mass-market territories, Shakti Shalini could attract younger multiplex audiences if the horror-comedy genre continues its successful run. There is, however, a strong possibility that the Aneet Padda-led film will be postponed to next year to avoid a clash with a giant like King. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The 2026 release calendar highlights how competitive Indian cinema has become in the era of pan-India filmmaking and cinematic universes. Major stars, franchises, and studios are now fighting not only for audiences but also for screens, show timings, and premium theatrical formats. Whether it is Yash taking over the festive corridor with Toxic, Shah Rukh Khan leading the Christmas race with King, or Marvel battling Dune for IMAX dominance, moviegoers are set for a thrilling year at the cinemas.

Avengers: Endgame Re-Release: Can Marvel's Titan Reclaim the All-Time Box Office Crown?

BY SACNILK

Los Angeles, December 11 — When Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame first arrived in 2019, it took the global box office by storm, becoming the highest-grossing movie of all time by dethroning fellow Disney and director James Cameron's Avatar, with an astonishing $2.79 billion. The Marvel titan temporarily outgrossed Avatar, ending its decade-long reign at the top. However, the MCU mega movie's victory was short-lived the as it shifted again when Avatar was re-released in China in 2021, where it added a strong $58 million to its tally, helping it reclaim the global box office crown. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) A year later, another re-release across 47 markets contributed an additional $76 million, pushing its worldwide total to $2.92 billion and increasing the gap with Endgame. Since Endgame's original run, only two films, Avatar: The Way of Water and China's Ne Zha 2, have crossed the $2 billion mark, but neither came close to threatening Avatar's towering lead. In a major announcement, Marvel Studios recently confirmed that Avengers: Endgame will be re-released globally in September next year, ahead of Avengers: Doomsday's release in December. It is learned that Doomsday will start where Endgame concluded, so the re-release could be kind of a recap of what happened ahead of all the next important chapters of the Avengers. While the core idea of Avengers: Endgame re-release might not be to give it a chance to reclaim the box office crown, it has certainly raised anticipation about this ultimate box office battle. The box office feat is challenging but not impossible, and that will surely make things interesting. China Could Be the Game-Changer. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) While Endgame boasts unmatched worldwide popularity, it will not be a straightforward task for the film to hit the screens again and top Avatar. Analysts believe that, if re-released, China may be the crucial market that determines its success in this renewed box office battle, given that Avatar earned $58 million from China alone during its 2021 re-release. If Endgame is to reclaim the top spot, a China re-release might not just help, it might be necessary. Marvel’s film enjoyed immense success in China during its 2019 run, grossing $632 million and becoming the biggest non-Chinese grosser there, and a renewed release there could significantly bolster its global total. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Can Endgame Make History Again? One thing that makes Endgame's case strong is that Marvel films enjoy immense popularity in all the major box office markets. With nostalgia, an enormous global fanbase, and a globally coordinated re-release, Endgame stands a realistic chance of challenging Avatar once more. If it performs strongly in major overseas territories, it may very well script one of the greatest box office comebacks ever. Stay tuned...

Avengers: Endgame Returns - Marvel's Highest-Grossing Film Sets Re-Release Date

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, December 6 - One of the highest-grossing films of all-time, Marvel Studios Avengers: Endgame is making its return to the big screen, ahead of Avengers: Doomsday release on December 18 next year. Originally released in 2019, the beloved Marvel epic will be re-released in theatres on September 25, 2026. The studio, however, didn't confirm whether it will be a worldwide or just a domestic (North America) re-launch, or how long the window will be. Directed by the Russo Brothers, who are also directing Doomsday, Endgame was a global phenomenon back in 2019. It stormed the box office everywhere it got released and eventually became the highest-grossing movie ever with $2.79 billion for some time before James Cameron's Avatar ($2.92 billion) reclaimed its spot. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Avengers: Endgame was the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 3, and it proved to be the most emotional outing for Marvel fans for many reasons. The film bid goodbye to Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, as well as Chris Evans' Captain America, and Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, who later featured in the character's spin-off in 2021's Black Widow. The trio has been one of the major reasons behind the MCU's global success. Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. has returned to the MCU with Doomsday, but not as Iron Man, but as Doctor Doom, who is the main villain of the next saga. Currently in production, Doomsday will feature many notable MCU stars, including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki, among many others. Avatar: Fire and Ash to feature trailers of Avengers: Doomsday, Christopher Nolan's next & Spielberg's UFO film? Here is the buzz

BY SACNILK

The biggest cinematic event of the year just got bigger. Reports suggest that James Cameron's 'Avatar: Fire and Ash', scheduled to hit theaters on December 19, 2025, will carry trailers for three of the most anticipated films of 2026. As the countdown begins for James Cameron’s visual spectacle 'Avatar: Fire and Ash', the excitement surrounding the film has transcended Pandora. While fans are eager to witness the 'Ash People' and the next chapter of the Sully family, new reports indicate that the theatrical experience will offer a massive bonus for moviegoers. According to the latest industry buzz, the screenings of 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' will be attached to the first-look trailers of three colossal Hollywood projects, effectively turning the theater into a carnival of blockbusters. Reports circulating on social media suggest that the following three trailers will be attached to the print of Avatar 3: Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey Following the historic success of Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan is returning to the big screen. Rumored to be titled 'The Odyssey', this project has been shrouded in secrecy. If the trailer indeed drops with Avatar, it confirms that Nolan is once again aiming for a massive IMAX experience, utilizing the biggest screen possible to unveil his latest vision. Russo Brothers' Avengers: Doomsday Perhaps the most hyped trailer on the list is Marvel Studios' 'Avengers: Doomsday'. With the Russo Brothers returning to the helm and Robert Downey Jr. stepping in as the menacing Doctor Doom, fans have been desperate for a glimpse of the footage. Attaching this trailer to Avatar guarantees it will be seen by the widest global audience possible. Steven Spielberg's UFO Movie The master of sci-fi, Steven Spielberg, is reportedly returning to the genre that defined his career. His upcoming 'UFO Event Film' has generated immense curiosity. Seeing Spielberg’s name alongside Cameron, Nolan, and the MCU on a single movie ticket is a dream scenario for cinephiles. The strategy makes perfect sense. 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' is expected to dominate premium large formats (IMAX, Dolby) globally. By attaching trailers for Nolan, The Avengers, and Spielberg, studios are ensuring that audiences witness these upcoming spectacles in the best possible quality. While an official confirmation from 20th Century Studios or Disney is awaited, this lineup suggests that 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' won't just be a movie—it will be a preview of the future of Hollywood.
