It was revealed that Shahid Kapoor has been signed on to headline Cocktail 2, taking over from Saif Ali Khan, who played the lead in the first film alongside Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. ## Now, according to the latest report, Rashmika Mandanna has been locked to play one of the female leads opposite Shahid in this love triangle sequel. This marks Shahid and Rashmika's first film together after the duo came close to sharing the screen in Anees Bazmee's, now-shelved, comedy entertainer. ## The second female lead of Cocktail is said to be Kriti Sanon who is a frequent collaborator with Maddock Films. The actress will be reuniting with Shahid after this year's hit romantic comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya which was also bankrolled by Maddock. ## Cocktail is written by Luv Ranjan and he will be involved through the entire creative process as a partner on the film. The script is said to be loaded with humour and light-hearted moments, centring around friendship between the trio. Kartik Aaryan's 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety 2' In Development

Mumbai, December 3 - After the blockbuster successes of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and 3, Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is now focussing more on the franchises rather than standalone films. He has already lined up the sequel to Pati, Patni Aur Woh and potentially Aashiqui 3 as well. ## At a time when sequels to successful films have almost become a guarantee of emerging hits, Kartik has reportedly started talks with filmmaker Luv Ranjan, with whom he has worked on 4 films, to make the second part of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, which was a huge success for the duo in 2018. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, Kartik and Luv Ranjan have initiated talks for Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety 2, with plans to start filming in the second half of 2025. It is said that Ranjan pitched the idea for SKTKS 2 recently and it was approved by the actor immediately. ## Ranjan is currently writing the screenplay for the second part of this romantic comedy, however, it is not yet confirmed whether it will be the continuation of the first part or will completely be a new story. Things are expected to get clear after the final draft is ready. ## Kartik will next start Pati, Patni Aur Woh with director Mudassar Aziz, and will follow it up with Aashiqui 3. He will also reportedly reunite with his Satyaprem Ki Katha director, Sameer Vidwans for a romantic drama under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.## Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is currently playing in theatres in its fifth week, has emerged as a huge success and is nearing 400 crores gross at the worldwide box office. ## Stay tuned...
