Ajay Devgn's Much-Awaited Action Adventure Ranger Gets A Release Date; Update On Official Title

Mumbai, November 21 - Mission Mangal director Jagan Shakti has teamed with Bollywood star Ajay Devgn for an action adventure, tentatively titled Ranger. The movie has been in production for some time, and now, the release date for the same has also been locked.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the highly-awaited film will hit the big screens on December 4, 2026, as the film will be fully ready by then. The movie also stars Sanjay Dutt and Tamannaah Bhatia in prominent roles, giving the film a major boost.

Over the last few years, December first week has been highly effective at the Indian box office. Last year, it was Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule, which stormed the box office, before Ranbir Kapoor's Animal ruled the roost in 2023 with massive success. This year, Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar is slated to release on December 4, and the buzz is palpable for the same.

Meanwhile, the makers are extremely excited about Ranger, which marks Ajay Devgn's grand return to hardcore action. The movie pits him against Sanjay Dutt in a full-blown action entertainer for the first time. Meanwhile, Tamannaah Bhatia, too, has a crucial and intriguing role, which will come as a pleasant surprise to the audience.

While the movie is being hyped as Ranger by fans and media, the reports revealed that it is not the official title, and is just the working title. The call on what the film would be titled will be taken by the makers in due course. It is produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg and Anand Pandit.
