Mumbai, March 19 - Amazon Prime Video has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of two much-anticipated Bollywood films - Naagzilla and Vvan: Force of the Forest. The announcement was made on March 19 during the Prime Video event in Mumbai, further strengthening the streamer's growing lineup of big-ticket Hindi releases for 2026. Naagzilla, starring Kartik Aaryan, is one of the most awaited commercial entertainers in the pipeline. Backed by Dharma Productions, the film explores a unique fantasy-comedy concept revolving around a shape-shifting serpent. With heavy VFX work and a large-scale production setup, the film is expected to be released later this year, after the shoot was recently completed. The official plot of the movie reads, "A rational urban man defies his ancestral forbidden forest & awakens a divine goddess, only to realise that some powers exist beyond logic & he must rise as the village's only saviour to protect his people from annihilation". Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, the film has already generated curiosity for its genre and storytelling approach. Its post-theatrical premiere on Prime Video is expected to further boost its reach among digital audiences. With both films now heading to Prime Video after their theatrical runs, the platform continues to cement its position as a key player in acquiring high-profile Bollywood content. Stay tuned...
