Dhurandhar 2 Box Office Day 28: Global Total Reaches Rs. 1,733 Crore; Last Day of Solo Window Before Bhooth Bangla Takeover
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has completed its 28th day at the box office, maintaining a steady pace as it concludes its fourth week. On its fourth Wednesday, the film recorded an India net collection of ₹4.05 Cr across 10,192 shows. This brings the total India net collection to a massive ₹1,099.72 Cr, with the total India gross standing at ₹1,316.45 Cr. The Hindi version remains the primary driver of the domestic business, contributing ₹3.90 Cr net on Day 28.
In terms of regional milestones, the film has achieved a significant feat in Karnataka. It has officially surpassed the nine-year-old record held by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion to become the highest-grossing non-Kannada film in the state. Reports suggest the film has comfortably crossed the ₹130 Cr gross mark in the region. Furthermore, in the Telugu states, it currently ranks as the fourth highest-grossing non-Telugu film with a net collection nearing ₹97 Cr, trailing only behind KGF Chapter 2, Avatar 2, and Kantara Chapter 1.

In terms of historical benchmarks, the Hindi version of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has secured a significant position among the all-time highest-grossing Hindi films on their 28th day. With a Hindi net collection of ₹3.90 Cr, the film has officially entered the top five list, claiming the third spot. It currently follows its predecessor, Dhurandhar, which holds the record with ₹15.75 Cr, and Pushpa: The Rule - Part 2 at ₹9.50 Cr. This placement highlights the film's exceptional longevity in the Hindi market, as it managed to outperform other major blockbusters like Chhaava and Stree 2 in fourth-week daily earnings.

While the domestic market remains strong, the international performance has seen a significant slowdown. For the second time during its run, the daily overseas collection fell into the lakhs, recording ₹0.50 Cr on its 28th day. This decline suggests that the film has reached a saturation point in major international circuits, with the majority of the target audience having already watched it over the past month. Additionally, the arrival of competitors like Dacoit and LIK has further fragmented the audience share. Despite this dip, the total overseas gross has reached a massive ₹416.75 Cr. This achievement is considered astonishing given that the film did not have a release in the Gulf region. By surpassing the non-Gulf international collections of previous blockbusters like Jawan and Pathaan, Dhurandhar 2 has officially claimed the number 1 spot in this specific category, pushing its cumulative worldwide total to ₹1,733.20 Cr.
As the film enters Day 29, early morning trends on BookMyShow suggest a positive trajectory compared to yesterday. Between 8 am and 9 am, the film sold 1,590 tickets (compared to 1,430 yesterday), and between 9 am and 10 am, it sold 2,500 tickets (compared to 2,340 yesterday). By 10 am today, total ticket sales stood at 4,090, surpassing the 3,770 recorded at the same time yesterday. With approximately 62,000 tickets sold for the day so far, the film is expected to have another strong hold on its final day of the solo window.
Today, April 16, marks the last day Dhurandhar 2 will enjoy an undisputed theatrical window. The upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla is set for premieres starting tonight at 9 pm, with a wide release scheduled for tomorrow. Anticipation for the new release is exceptionally high, particularly overseas, where fans were recently seen at Times Square dressed in spooky attire and holding placards. This impending competition is expected to impact show counts and screens for Dhurandhar 2 both domestically and internationally starting this weekend.
