Ken Shamrock Returns To WWE: Legend Reconnects For Merchandise Venture After Memorable Career Stints In WWE And TNA

BY SACNILK

Stamford, December 5 - Ken Shamrock has rekindled ties with WWE, this time collaborating with the company to promote and sell his merchandise.## In addition to his storied MMA career in the UFC, Shamrock achieved considerable success in WWE and TNA. Within WWE, he held the titles of former Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion and secured victory in the prestigious King of the Ring tournament in 1998. His tenure in TNA saw him clinch the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Shamrock was associated with WWE from 1997 to 1999 and had intermittent stints with TNA in 2002 and 2004.## Noteworthy matches with iconic figures like The Rock and a Lion’s Den match against Owen Hart at SummerSlam 1998, resembling the Fight Pit, contributed to Shamrock's memorable WWE moments. Despite his absence from WWE TV since departing in 1999, Shamrock made headlines when The Rock inducted him into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame a few years ago.## In the past, Shamrock has expressed his willingness to collaborate with WWE, even extending offers in 2018 with hopes of making a return. The recent release of several Shamrock-themed t-shirts on WWE Shop suggests that both parties have reached a new agreement, likely under the banner of a Legends deal. ## WWE Shop added new Ken Shamrock merchandise pic.twitter.com/THAHygp9JE— Andrew Ravens l WrestlingNews.co (@Andrew_Ravens) December 5, 2023 ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

The Rock Claims He Was Close To Signing With Pride In 1997 And Transitioning From Wrestling To MMA

BY SACNILK

New York, 17 November - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has claimed that he considered leaving WWE to fight for Pride in 1997. ## Johnson expressed dissatisfaction with his position in WWE at the time. He noted that stars in Pride were earning more than he was in WWE, and he found himself intrigued by the rising popularity of MMA. Specifically, he was drawn to Pride, renowned for its more lenient rules and its willingness to feature fighters from diverse disciplines. ## Johnson said that he talked to some MMA fighters including Ken Shamrock about making the switch, and he even considered training for Pride himself. However, he ultimately decided to stick with WWE, and he went on to become one of the most successful wrestlers of all time. ## The Rock made this revelation during an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. ## “In ‘97, during that time, while I was still going out to L.A. and working out, we were crossing all the MMA guys. Pride just opened up in Japan so I was seeing all these MMA guys going over to Pride. At that time I was making $150,000 wrestling 235 days a year. So do the math of that and how much you’re making per match. We start hearing, hey these guys over in pride are making 250, 350, 500. I thought then, ‘F***, I don’t think I’m going to make it in WWE.’ People are booing me out of the arenas, I can’t be myself, they’re telling me to f****** smile, I don’t want to f****** smile, it’s not who I am. ## “I start talking to Ken Shamrock at that time - who was wrestling with us, I run into Mark Kerr, I start talking to him. ‘Tell me a little bit about Pride.’ And I had this idea in my head, maybe I should train in MMA and go to Pride and make money, real money. Then I don’t have to smile. I’m sure I’m going to get f***** up over there, knock one of my lungs loose, but maybe I can do something.” ## Many scenarios could have unfolded, but he wouldn't be one of the most successful wrestlers if he had joined Pride. Achieving numerous titles and attaining unparalleled success, The Rock is now recognized as one of the all-time greats, a legacy to be cherished by generations. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Ken Shamrock Comments On Why Feels Like He Never Won The WWE Championship

BY SACNILK

Ken Shamrock had a successful professional wrestling career. He competed in various promotions, including the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), where he was a multiple-time Intercontinental Champion and Tag Team Champion. ## Shamrock retired from professional fighting in 2019 at the age of 55. He is considered one of the most influential figures in the development of MMA and has been inducted into both the UFC Hall of Fame and the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame. ## Event after having a successful career in wrestling, Shamrock never won a championship. While doing an interview with WrestlingNews.co, former WWE/UFC star Ken Shamrock commented on why he feels he never won the WWE Championship. ## "I had a lot of other stuff going on too. The company's got to depend on you if you're carrying the strap, right? For me, I had a temper. I was wild. If I go up and I get that strap, can I represent the company properly? Am I going to lose my temper and beat somebody up severely and put them in the hospital? That's not going to represent the company well. So, like I said, there's a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes where, you know, I was an aggressive guy and I was violent. Being a wrestler sometimes, you know, you got to be able to control those things." ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.
