WWE Bringing In More Legends For WrestleMania 40 Festivities

BY SACNILK

WrestleMania 40 is bringing in even more wrestling legends to join the festivities. While rumors have swirled about appearances by John Cena, The Undertaker, and Stone Cold Steve Austin, new reports reveal additional stars scheduled to be in town for the big event. ## PWInsider previously confirmed WWE was bringing in Ron Simmons, Kane, Jimmy Hart, Michelle McCool, and JBL for WrestleMania week. Now, PWInsider Elite adds Jerry Lawler, Madusa (Alundra Blayze), Cowboy Bob Orton, and Rikishi to the guest list. ## Jerry Lawler's recent backstage appearance at SmackDown in Memphis has fans buzzing. Rikishi's twin sons, Jimmy and Jey Uso, will be facing off in a singles match at WrestleMania - only the third such brother-on-brother showdown in WrestleMania history. ## The event also features a father-son connection, with Bob Orton's son Randy Orton competing in a three-way match for the United States Championship against Logan Paul and Kevin Owens. ## While it's unlikely these legends will be wrestling at WrestleMania itself, their presence adds to the excitement of the week. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Video: Jeff Jarrett Crashes Jerry Lawler's Celebration At Grizzlies Game

BY SACNILK

Legendary wrestler Jerry "The King" Lawler was celebrating a lifetime of achievement in his hometown of Memphis, but the good times were short-lived thanks to a surprise appearance by Jeff Jarrett.## At a recent Memphis Grizzlies game, Lawler was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Title in honor of his decades-long contributions to Memphis wrestling. However, the heartwarming moment took a turn when Jarrett, an AEW wrestler and WWE Hall of Famer himself, interrupted the ceremony.## Jarrett wasn't alone. He introduced his AEW colleague Satnam Singh, who proceeded to take the award from Lawler, much to the dismay of the crowd. Jarrett then addressed the fans, declaring his intention to take over Grind City Wrestling.## This isn't the first time Lawler and Jarrett have mixed it up at a Grizzlies game. In 2018, the two even had a full-fledged match, with Jarrett emerging victorious after a guitar-assisted maneuver.## Their rivalry stretches back much further, though. Throughout the early 90s, they battled in the USWA, often vying for championship gold. Despite the animosity, they also found themselves as tag team partners, winning the USWA World Tag Team Championships together four times. Jarrett even shared those same titles twice with Lawler's late son, Brian Christopher.## Jeff Jarrett ruined Jerry Lawler’s night as he was getting a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grizzlies game. pic.twitter.com/oHYQmCAL4B— Wrestling News (@WrestlingNewsCo) March 17, 2024 ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

PWInsider suggests that Lawler's pre-existing commitment in New York City was cancelled due to a WWE request for his involvement in the SmackDown taping.## While his exact role remains unclear, it could involve an on-screen appearance or a backstage interaction similar to his cameo during Raw last August.## Lawler's return comes after a health scare. He suffered a stroke in February 2023, but has shown remarkable progress in his recovery, enabling him to resume public appearances.## The WWE Universe in Memphis will undoubtedly welcome Lawler back with open arms, further amping up the energy for a momentous SmackDown. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

WWE Veteran Predicts Roman Reigns Will Turn Babyface In The Twilight Of His Career

BY SACNILK

Roman Reigns wasted no time in ascending to superstardom upon his return in 2020. Capturing the WWE Universal Championship, he has been positioned as the ultimate antagonist in the company's storylines. Nonetheless, numerous individuals strongly believe that a transformation into a heroic character, a babyface turn, is inevitable for Reigns. ## The Tribal Chief continues to reign as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, and there seems to be no end in sight to his dominant tenure. He has effortlessly vanquished every challenger that has dared to confront him thus far. ## During his appearance on the Jim Cornette's Drive Thru podcast, the seasoned WWE veteran discussed the potential babyface turn for Roman Reigns. Cornette asserted that it is practically guaranteed to occur, with one condition. ## “So, it’s, you know, it’s gonna happen. It has to happen. But they don’t need to just say, ‘oh, we wanna turn him babyface now, who can we put him with?’ That doesn’t need to happen. It needs to be obvious to everybody here’s the f****** guy. [But John Cena never turned heel after he returned babyface, is Reigns so good as a heel that you shouldn’t turn him babyface again?] Well, no. Cena never turned heel because the merchandize sales and the Make-A-Wish. ## Going the opposite, no, Roman Reigns because he is such a good heel will eventually, and whether it’s the, I would assume it would be the riding off into the Twilight of his career. I’m not saying wait till he’s 60. Who knows how much longer he’s gonna do this? But it would be for a last run of a year or two. And he already makes sporadic appearances. So, they wouldn’t be beating it to death. But it probably it needs to happen because when you get so good at being bad, the people like it. Roddy Piper, Steve Austin, Jerry Lawler, through territories in history. It’s gonna happen.” ## Will Jimmy Uso Return To WWE At SummerSlam To Add More Twists Roman Reigns Vs. Jey Uso could end up adding up more twists if Jimmy Uso makes a surprising return to aid his brother Jey Uso against Roman Reigns. Jimmy has been out of action with a storyline injury to seemingly create a scenario, possibly to save his brother Jey Uso. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

The class of 2005 was no exception, featuring some of the most iconic and beloved names in wrestling history. ## The headliner of the 2005 class was Hulk Hogan, one of the most famous and influential wrestlers of all time. Hogan's popularity helped propel wrestling into the mainstream, and he continued to be a major star throughout the 1990s and 2000s. His induction into the Hall of Fame was a well-deserved tribute to his legendary career.## Another major inductee in 2005 was "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, one of the most colorful and controversial figures in wrestling history. Piper was known for his brash personality and quick wit, as well as his intense in-ring style. He was a major star in the 1980s, winning championships and engaging in memorable feuds with the likes of Hogan and Ric Flair. Piper's induction into the Hall of Fame was a testament to his enduring popularity and his influence on the sport.## The 2005 class also included two legends of women's wrestling: the Fabulous Moolah and Wendi Richter. The Fabulous Moolah was a trailblazer in women's wrestling, winning her first championship in 1956 and remaining a major star for several decades. She helped pave the way for future generations of female wrestlers and was a respected figure in the industry until her death in 2007. Wendi Richter was another major star in the 1980s, best known for her feud with the villainous "Spider Lady" (actually Moolah in disguise) and her partnership with pop star Cyndi Lauper.## Rounding out the class of 2005 were the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff, two wrestlers who were known for their villainous personas during the 1980s. The Iron Sheik was an Iranian-born wrestler who often played up his foreignness to generate heat with American audiences. He won the WWE Championship in 1983 and continued to be a major presence in the company for several years. Nikolai Volkoff was a Russian-born wrestler who often teamed with the Iron Sheik to form a heel tag team. He was also a talented singer and would often sing the Russian national anthem before his matches.## Overall, the class of 2005 was a fitting tribute to some of the most iconic and influential figures in wrestling history. From Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper to the Fabulous Moolah and the Iron Sheik, each inductee had made a lasting impact on the sport and had helped shape it into what it is today.
