While the numbers suggest it wasn't a massive blockbuster, the film has been appreciated for its artistic value and storytelling. Kaantha is a special project for many reasons. It marks the collaboration of two south Indian powerhouses, as it is produced by Rana Daggubati (Spirit Media) alongside Dulquer Salmaan himself (Wayfarer Films).
