The lockdown has come as a halt for the film industry. Because of it, the shooting of the many films has been stopped. ## The extension of the lockdown has come as a big halt for the movies which are almost ready to release in the cinema halls. While many filmmakers are playing a wait and watch game, the continuous extension of the lockdown might force the makers of the big-budgeted films to take direct over-the-top (OTT) platform. ## There have been some rumors recently that makers are planning to release their films directly on the OTT platform. However, the some of the makers have denied such reports as of now but if the situation doesn't get normal in upcoming days, then they might take the OTT route. ## Here are the movies which might release on the OTT platform -## Gulabo Sitabo - Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Gulabo Sitabo is waiting for its release for a long time now. Initially, the film was scheduled to release in November last year but some pending work forced the makers to postpone the film to the last week of April before it was preponed to 28 February. And then it was finally scheduled to release on April 17 but the lockdown caused by a coronavirus pandemic has further postponed the film for an indefinite time. ## Gulabo Sitabo is the first film together for Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana. If the situation caused by coronavirus doesn't get normal in upcoming days then the makers might release the film on digital platform. ## Laxmmi Bomb - If the rumors were strong for any film about the OTT release, it was the Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer 'Laxmmi Bomb'. The film was originally slated to release on Eid (22 May), but some pending post-production work and lockdown forced the makers to postpone the film. Recently, there were some rumors and some trade experts always gave a hint that the makers are planning to release the film directly on the digital platforms. The film still may release in the theaters first but the situation caused by the virus doesn't get normal then there are high chances of its OTT release. ## Laxmmi Bomb is a Hindi remake of 2011 Tamil horror comedy Muni 2: Kanchana. Akshay Kumar plays the role of timid-natured Raghav, who suffers from a fear of ghosts and undergoes a personality transformation after being possessed by the spirit of a transgender named Laxmmi in the film. Laxmmi Bomb is directed by Raghava Lawrence who also directed and played a lead role in Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana. ## 83 - The Film - There were rumors about the film's OTT release but later were destroyed by an official announcement from the Reliance Entertainment and director Kabir Khan suggesting that the film will first release in the theaters only. However, makers also said they are in no hurry to release the film and will wait 4-6 months and will take a call. ## 83 the film is based on India's maiden ODI World Cup win in 1983. Amitabh Bachchan pens an emotional blog remembering friend Rishi Kapoor

Indian cinema has lost another gem in Rishi Kapoor who took his last breath on April 30 while fighting Leukaemia. Legendary Amitabh Bachchan was the first to inform about Rishi Kapoor's demise as he shared the news about the actor's death via Twitter. ## Amitabh Bachchan however, couldn't attend the last rites of Rishi Kapoor who was also his close friend. Instead, Abhishek Bachchan was present to attend the funeral ceremony. Amitabh Bachchan, a day after the actor's death, writes an emotional blog remembering their first meeting and a lot more. ## "had seen him at his home Deonar Cottage, Chembur, a young energetic, bubbly, mischief in his eyes Chintu, on those rare moments when I was privileged to have been invited to an evening at Raj ji’s house". ## "I would see him more often after, at RK Studios, when he trained as an actor for his film to be made, BOBBY .. a diligent enthusiastic youngster, ready to pounce onto every learning that came his way, in that famous large and legendary makeup room, of Raj Ji at the end of the first-floor corridor of makeup rooms. He had a walk that was confident and determined .. a stride and style that was similar to that of his grandfather, the legendary Prithvi Raj Ji .. a walk I had noticed in one of his earlier films .. that walk .. I never found it in any other", Big B wrote. ## Talking about their films together, the legend wrote, "We worked in several films together .. When he spoke his lines, you believed every word of it .. there was never an alternative .. its genuineness was beyond question .. And there has never been any other, that could lip-sync a song as perfectly as he did .. never".## "His playful attitude on set was infectious .. even in the gravest sequences he would discover that comedic spark and we would all just crack up .. !! Not just on set .. if you were with him at any formal event, he would find that little distractive light-hearted gem to expand on and lighten the situation. When there was a time-lapse as the shot got readied, he would bring out his playing cards, or at times pull out his rather complicated Bagatelle board and invite others to play .. a competition .. not just for fun .. a serious competition", he wrote. ## Further Big B wrote that even in his toughest time, Rishi Kapoor remained positive throughout. "During his time of diagnosis and his treatment he never ever lamented his condition .. it was always .. ‘see you soon, just a routine visit to the hospital .. Ramesh Sippy on Rishi Kapoor, 'the romanticist'

RAMESH SIPPY directed RISHI KAPOOR in "Saagar" (1985), a film that celebrated the actor's romantic swagger as very few Bollywood love stories could.## BY RAMESH SIPPY## Mumbai, April 30 (IANS) We made just one film together and it was a wonderful association. I was very happy with the turnout, and all the actors -- especially Rishi Kapoor. He contributed a lot in the romantic film.## Rishi Kapoor was a very versatile and wonderful actor. A romantic lead in the earlier part of his life. Even at the time of "Saagar", he was still a romanticist. Later, he went on to do all kinds of roles and excelled in those.## My associations and experiences with him were very good. Once he understood the role and what I was looking for, there was absolutely no need for me to tell him anything. I didn't need to direct him. He understood it and expressed it wonderfully. There was hardly any need to say anything to him.## He will stay with me in my memories, as a brilliant and wonderful actor, who gave me whatever I wanted with all his acting abilities, senses, and feeling, in the professional side.## On the personal side, I have known the Kapoors for a long time. From respecting his grandfather to Raj Kapoor Ji, and working with his uncles, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor, the association has been very long. He was a wonderful human being -- full of life. After work, you could talk to him about anything in the world. He was much more communicative than I was outside of work. He loved life. He lived it well.## It is so sad that you can't pay respect to the family and can't be with them because of the lockdown and distancing restrictions.## Stay tuned...
