Shahid And I Have Only Been Very Good Colleagues, We Were Not Even Friends: Amrita Rao
Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao have been one of the most loved couples on the big screen. Both of them started their careers almost simultaneously, where Amrita made her Bollywood debut in 2002 with Ab Ke Baras, Shaheed started his film career with Ishq Vishk a year later.## Amrita was Shahid's co-star in his debut film Ishq Vishk. Directed by Ken Ghosh, the movie was about a boy caught up in a love triangle. The film did very well at the box office and made Shahid and Amrita one of the most popular young couples onscreen. There were even rumours that the two were dating each other. However, Amrita has denied it saying that they were not even good friends. ## In an interview with The Times of India, Amrita also spoke about her debut movie and the experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan in Main Hoon Na, and other things.## On how did she deal with all those rumors and link-up stories with Shahid Kapoor and why she and Shahid have never worked after Vivah remains a "million-dollar" question. ## "Shahid was always in a relationship when I was his co-star. The funny part is that Shahid and I have only been very good colleagues, we were not even friends who hung out with each other. But yes, we have tremendous respect for each other as artists and recently Shahid also expressed on social media that he misses working with me, which was very sweet. Why Shahid and I were never cast together after 'Vivah' is a million-dollar question and something to think about".## After Ishq Vishk, Shahid and Amrita were also seen together in Sooraj Barjatya's Vivah (2006) which became a blockbuster, and Life Ho Toh Aisi (2005). She worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Main Hoon Na (2004). Amrita says it was Gauri Khan who spotted her in a commercial for a coffee brand and chose her for the movie.## Amrita recently blessed with a baby boy with hubby RJ Anmol. She said that she is "nervous about the idea of motherhood but the saying is true- when you see your baby’s face the mother in you effortlessly awakens". ## Stay tuned...
